Ignorant question (not trying to troll):

What would this be good for?
19822  Economy / Lending / Re: 2.3 BTC loan request - Every little helps. on: March 13, 2013, 08:55:02 PM
I'll never understand why people insist on getting the last word before they abandon their account and the thread is lost to history.    Huh
19823  Economy / Lending / Re: 2.3 BTC loan request - Every little helps. on: March 13, 2013, 08:20:52 PM
So let's leave it at that for now shall we? No need to waste any of each others time or energy any more.

That's probably a good idea.  On to your next username.   Cool
19824  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have many ideas but i am afraid to execute on: March 13, 2013, 08:16:27 PM
Hello all,

I'm a programmer proficient in LAMP setups. Having built websites for large and small customers. I have always been facinated by Bitcoin and everytime I think up a new business venture for Bitcoin, one thing stops me. My lack of understanding for handling bitcoin and the server infastructure required. Obviously I dont want to be making any mistakes and the trouble is most my ideas result in me holding money is some sort of hot wallet. So what can you the bitcoin community suggest to me? I've learnt from the mistakes of others and I don't want to repeat history, so is there any direction I can go?

Regards

Develop a relationship with someone who does understand the Bitcoin infrastructure.  Offer them a piece of the pie for programming that part.  That why they have a vested interest in making things work initially and on a continued basis.

Plus I went out and bought (gasp!) my 2.3 BTC this morning so it's all gravy baby.

I didn't buy 2.3 bitcoins. My mate lent me some, got a wee bit from satoshiDice and managed to get some money in my account for the rest (thank you wifey)... So I basically scraped it together, somehow.

See how your story changes?

If your mate sent you bitcoins, why would you need to go out (to a bank)?

That's why we don't trust people around here - most everyone is out to scam.

Money received. This forum really have helpful people here!

Yes, when you have a post count like yours. Smiley

Too bad most of the threads in this forum are from newbies asking for free money.
19827  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is the magnificent bitcoin gem on: March 13, 2013, 07:43:03 PM
I wonder if the random resets are needed at all any more as the 24 hour idle period will & does now always cause a reset before the price goes crazy mad & anyway if it did that's the punter's choice, or at the least make the random reset 0.3% or something less off-putting if you'd like to keep that Russian roulette frisson aspect, I believe that it would increase your take & lead to happier players.

We currently have a "lucky round" without a random reset.

Move this to Gambling please.

Why do I feel like I'm being interrogated....  Sad

You're saying you went and bought 2.3 btc, and it's difficult to believe.  Post the transaction ID - it will show you weren't just trying to scam 2.3btc off of us.
19829  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] domain - litecoins.org on: March 13, 2013, 07:24:58 PM
LOL - people always overvalue their domains.

I'd take the sedo.com bid if you got offered more than $200.   Wink
19830  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] 3-letter Domain - bet.to - price update on: March 13, 2013, 07:23:55 PM
It's not worth anything near 15btc - sorry.  Sad

I'm going to tell you what I think it's worth, and if someone thinks it is worth me, they can post here and beat my offer!

I would pay 2btc for it.
19831  Economy / Services / Re: [WANTED] Web/PHP Developer! 5BTC on: March 13, 2013, 07:13:39 PM
You are trying to build something that no one will use, especially with your reputation around here.   Sad

The days when people trustingly sent coins to some anonymous online wallet are long gone.  Just saving you the 5btc.
19832  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Why we need a threat center on: March 12, 2013, 11:12:13 PM
Why don't we just get rid of all of this P2P nonsense while we're at it. Using a central server would be much cheaper.

He took the time to post it, let me at least do a  Cheesy

This community has recently had some negative experiences with underage coders.

How old are you?

I think you could use a humidifier in addition to the AC, so you could be comfortable and protect your vocal cords.

You'll probably get more interest if you move this (bottom left) to the Computer Hardware section.   Smiley

Will this message eventually go away when it is safe to transact again?
19837  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Programmers/Designers wanted for new bitcoin project on: March 12, 2013, 07:14:32 PM
Hi,

We are looking for a team, ideally together, to work with us on a new bitcoin project.

We are currently looking for skilled and reliable programmers designers to work with to put together an outline cost for our project ideas and to begin at the soonest with building and construction.

Would any programmers/designers please email me at cuntsrus@tormail.org with an outline of their skills, previous projects etc and we will be in touch from there.

Payment can be in BTC or normal currency.

I look forward to hearing from you.

What programming language do you want the project in?
19838  Economy / Services / Re: [WANTED] An Artist to do the logos for my websites (more than 1 job here!) on: March 12, 2013, 05:59:44 PM
If you end up paying DPony13 for his work, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you sent it directly to the people he owes coins to.
