19942  Other / Off-topic / Re: Actor Paul Walker dies in a car crash on: December 01, 2013, 04:20:46 PM
How ironic: In the Fast and the Furious he is an expert driver and in reality he dies in a car crash.
By the way: How did he manage to destroy the car like that?

Probably by driving at the speed of sound.
19943  Other / Off-topic / Re: Actor Paul Walker dies in a car crash on: December 01, 2013, 12:50:35 PM
Sad. Forty years old is way too young to die.

My favorite movie he was in was Running Scared. I'm going to try and watch that again soon.

RIP.

I was going to recommend people check this out. Easily his best and a really under-appreciated film.
19944  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any way to add 'spoiler tags' to posts? on: December 01, 2013, 12:46:44 PM
Kind of surprised that isn't in here. It's very useful for keeping threads with a lot of information relatively clean and manageable (though the other issue in that would be the 50k character limit, which I admit to having legitimately run into before).

Code:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean commodo ligula eget dolor. Aenean massa. Cum sociis natoque penati

Code tags are better at keeping threads tidy than spoilers imo. They keep all the text in a small box.

Is there not a way to insert a box like that, but obviously not a code box. That would be great for my problem.
19945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are the newbie restrictions so strict? on: December 01, 2013, 12:37:35 PM
I thought the restrictions were too heavy when I joined, too, but since joining I've realised that giving people the ability to instantly create several accounts and post everywhere on them would really damage the spirit of some of the giveaways, competitions etcetera. Four hours isn't that long Smiley

I know exactly what you mean. In fact, I'd even suggest making it more strict now to deter beggers/and lazy/eager scammers signing up willy-nilly.

19947  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a way to sell btc through paypal with no risk of fraudster reversals? on: December 01, 2013, 10:46:45 AM
transfer the money to your bank before releasing coins. So that it is irreversible.

Then they will just give you a negative balance which you will have to pay back. If your address is registered with them they'll probably send out debt collectors eventually or at least threaten to via letters.
19948  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are/did you guys get for Black Friday? on: December 01, 2013, 10:36:33 AM

LOL that's Good Friday.
19949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to safely sell Bitcoins on eBay? on: December 01, 2013, 10:15:41 AM
Would it be safe to send a paper wallet to their home address as long as they paid with a bank transfer or sent you a cheque or cash in the mail? Could they still open up a dispute? I don't think they could do anything that way, could they?
19950  Other / Off-topic / Re: Actor Paul Walker dies in a car crash on: December 01, 2013, 10:09:21 AM
it may be too soon, but i think that porsche may have been 2 fast 2 furious. the irony of it all.

on a serious note, it does suck dying at the hand of someone elses's (probably) irresponsible behavior behind the wheel. i don't think i'm cool with someone driving wrecklessly.

Hahahah, I wonder if he was Tokyo Drifting? Definitely bad taste/too soon for sure, but personally I find comfort in joking about death. When I die I hope people make jokes about it.

The thing with irresponsible driving is the passenger can always tell them to calm the fuck down or stop the car and it's your responsibility to do so. I wouldn't even get in a car if they were known for being a maniac. My uncle was killed instantly in a head on collision by a dickhead showing off in his car to try impress his girl friends.

The Fast & Furious actor has apparently died in a car crash in LA.

Quote
Paul Walker, the much-loved star who for 12 years headlined the Fast and Furious franchise, has died in a car crash aged 40.

The actor was travelling as a passenger in a new Porsche when his friend who was driving - who has been described as an "experienced driver" - lost control of the vehicle and collided with a street light, and then a tree.

The LA County Sheriff's department has confirmed that two people died in a collision in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles, at 3:30pm on Saturday, but Walker's death was confirmed by his representatives on his official Facebook page, and then by his publicist, Ame Van Iden.

RIP Paul Walker and also to the other 100,000+ people that probably died on this planet yesterday.

Finally! a quality thread on these forums.

Does this count as irony or sarcasm?

Haha. It's neither; but it has been enjoyable, so if by 'quality' he means 'enjoyable / epic', then I'd say it's indeed a 'quality thread'  Grin

You heard it correctly. I need a picture of an iPod classic or touch with "Wong RAP/Homeless Jackie!" written on a piece of paper in the picture. I cannot have your hands, face, or anything indicating you're a male. If you're female, include only your hands. Paying .1btc or 1$ via LR for this.

19956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does the bible say about Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2013, 10:52:08 PM
It says nothing about Bitcoins, but it slags off Litecoin pretty hard.

Greed is a sin

so is usury, and the entire fiat system is founded on that

That is odd isn't it?  Usury was for centuries a great evil; suddenly it was a-ok and the churches started lending money themselves.

The Church/Vatican are a business. A great one at that.

although the church did not write the bible, in fact they tried to suppress the bible because their business scheme is not compatible with the bible at all.

The church once considered it illegal for the common guy to own a bible, and the bible was not to be translated to languages the masses could read.

The church adopted many pagan traditions to get more people into their church, they edited the traditions to look more biblical-ish but they're still based on worshiping other gods or keeping old sometimes satanic traditions.  (For example Easter and halloween, Easter being a holiday in honor of Ostara, a Germanic god and halloween being a ritual of wiccans, which by the way can be traced all the way back to the priests of ancient Egypt).

the church is based on lies and satanic rituals, so it's no wonder they don't give a single shit about what's in the bible, but that doesn't make the bible any less true.

Christmas isn't even on the day Jesus was born...

< Implying Jesus was ever born.  Cool

I'm not answering anymore. And no that's not me.

Fair enough.

This is now a Ron thread. Post some Rons.

DaSkipper's address: 1GHocj5NrZLcpdUoX7YQbj34NcrwwTarWu

Is this Ron?

yeah that's the faggot. Ron isn't his real name. I would link his real name but you guys would dox me in a heartbeat if I did.

What caused you to sever ties with "Ron"?

Probably had something to do with him being a giant insecure douchebagel by the looks of things. Here's what he posted on that Zoklet site on 01-06-2013, 06:40 AM

So you guys may know my pseudo-gf made out with a dude in my house one night and I went to go commit suicide by a giant laceration on my left leg (I'm a cutter trying to get over it and when drunk its kind of instinct with me). I didn't do it on my wrist because if I failed, I don't wanna explain that everywhere I fucking went. Went to the hospital, blah blah 14 stitches, blah blah. She fucked the dude on my bed while I was at the hospital.

My mother and her text each others sometimes. I haven't talked to the cunt since that that night but she texted my mom recently. She wants to see me and even though I still kind of have feelings, I can't see this chick or she WILL ruin me. In the past two weeks, my life has gone to shit (Laptop throw away along with most of my clothes, my life dream will never come true, my "friends," won't talk to me, lost my hangout place, I haven't touched a boob since her ) so shall I see her? She did provide with some happiness at some point. She leaves back to college soon, then again she may have already did that but whatever.

Your thoughts on me seeing her again?

Are you the pseudo-gf? I honestly don't know whether he's trolling or not. I don't know anything anymore.

I also don't believe for a second you aren't in kahoots with each other. Also, can you explain why you dated him cos I'd love to fucking know, because this guy "Ron" sounds like an right empire state bastard, and I doubt it was for his dashing good looks. He likes some good bands though I'll give him that.

So since we're sharing I was wondering about this yesterday.

After your were given both "donations" it was immediately transferred to 1CyAN73jSegtbLLC57de4HP2j7NmHLCyQm

Now that we know there is a ron and he likes pizza, I have to ask did you transfer or did "Ron" use it for his "pizza"?

Pizza probably equals heroin.
19959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: UK international bank account for Bitstamp deposit on: November 30, 2013, 10:29:12 PM
Okay thanks, I will call HSBC and find out. I only ask as I have seen a lot of people saying that many of the main banks straight out refuse to allow people to buy bitcoins frequently. Do you suggest that this is possible due to the relatively small amount I will be transferring?

It's possible but I'm not an expert in the banking system so I couldn't give you an answer. Are you buying bitcoins? You could try buy them for cash instead. Either try buy some on here or check out localbitcoins. You can get good deals on there far; cheaper than the exchanges sometimes.
