And that ^ is the one and only bitch I have about how Halong/Inno has been marketing these miners. To me it is rather like them selling a car and only later on saying, 'oh btw - these don't run on gasoline or diesel, they use LNG'.

Once LNG is widely available as a fuel, not much of a issue, just a surprise to the consumer. Once the majority of pools support AB it too does not matter but until then that is a critical bit of info that Halong and Inno are leaving out of the marketing spiels.

Yeah  when I took on the demo unit from myrig.

  I wanted 1 demo I got 5
I thought it could mine anywhere.  It mines  at 2 major pools  and 4 other pools.
With that  I still kept them and obligated myself to pay for 5 units of T1's (At you know who I am yet to pay for them)
Mostly due to ck  doing firmware for the myrig/halong t1 models.

Now as -ck says he is not doing the firmware for the t2 model. And neither myrig or inno_silicon offered to send a t2 for me to demo.
But inno_silicon now has a bad price for the gear.  1700 with a 100 moq.  I can buy s9's way cheaper and I can buy avalon 841's way cheaper.
This is much like the s-5 war on the sp20  bitmain flooded the market with cheap units.

I believe the difference is  bitmain does not have an s-11 with asic boost  due to the move pulled off by inno_silicon and that they are flooding the market with gear now due to this issue.

I have been mining WTC / WTCT  for the last week. It’s a very unique coin to mine. You essentially solo mine. I am averaging one block a day. The cards I am throwing at it are 6x 1080 ti.

Quick math that comes to $5 per day per 1080 ti.

The cards run very cool and quiet. I don’t have numbers but power usage has to be very very low.

To my knowledge this is a Windows only mineable coin at this time. Requires a beefy CPU as well.

Any links?

I have a AMD Ryzen 1800x build I could use it with a 1080ti

You definitely need to cut back on your caffeine intake for awhile...going to give yourself a heart attack.

AsicBoost is a joke, period.   And by no means am I pro Bitmain.   Innovation is great, however AsicBoost isn't the right answer.
What makes it a joke?
19964  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [20 PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: May 31, 2018, 11:21:58 AM
Hi,

Im mining on the CKPOOL.ORG  for over a week with dragon mint T1
and i didnt received any payment its showing up 0.00323678 erned on the web.

could you please advice is it normal such a waiting time?

Thanks and regards

you need to show the address you are using.

that way  it can be determined  as to when  you started.

Remember this pool does not hit blocks on a weekly basis.

This year we hit a blocks on:

5-27-2018
5-08-2018
3-23-2018
3-23-2018
2-28-2018
2-24-2018
1-05-2018

So if you started  on 5-25-2018  your earnings would be low and carried until a later block

19965  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: May 31, 2018, 03:35:17 AM
You're right on everything but the bolded, underlined, and italicized line.

Hey are you against asic boost ?

yes or no.

bitmain has hidden asic boost not saying they use it but I am saying it was hidden.

do you agree yes or no?

Inno_silicon has  asic boost and it is not hidden now it is in use.  this means bitmain can no longer use hidden asic boost (not saying they did use it)
just saying they have it and they hid it.

So bitmain the king of asic gear finally got fucked over by another company and you are against that company

so please explain to me how you are not for bitmain when you are against asic boost.?

I am willing to listen to an explanation if you have one.

If you go back to my first post in this thread

Is it same chip as the Halong T1 correct?
Will -ck provide firmware to this gear?
Does it only mine BTC?
Is it limited to 5 pools?

I would love to demo one for you if you answer my 4 questions. Above
I don't mind being  limited to the 5 pools above as long as I know this before I buy it.

I don't mind the pool limits because I know all pools will switch to asic boost except for antpool and btc.com

and this is an effective way to attack bitmain.
19966  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hashrate stabilization and mining market/farm implications on: May 31, 2018, 01:39:07 AM
I do believe that 7nm is when we'll reach hashrate stabilization as well. The main thing would be who gets to the 7nm first. Its definitely not gonna be the retail miners.

The main thing is 7nm with asic boost

Here is my theory .

Bitmain has built a 7nm with out overt  asic boost.

Avalon has built a 7nm without overt asic boost

inno_silicon?halong has built a 7nm with asic boost.

all three companies are aware of each others status.

and many shills are attacking inno_silicon  and asic boost.

Not because of the current chips but because to the next chip.

I think the slight edge of the t1 with asic boost with a dragon mint vs an s9 vs and avalon 841

will expand a lot.

This is why f2pool has joined with slush pool as the second major pool to allow asic boost.

@ viabtc.com
@ BTC.top   pool  why not join the party and allow asic boost?

Once this happens a fundamental shift in mining will occur with a stable 0.06 watt per gh or close to that and that is all she wrote.

much like a gasoline engine getting x miles a gallon.
19967  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: May 31, 2018, 12:25:56 AM
Apparently someone is misrepresenting me and saying I'm working with Innosilicon on their hardware or software. I repeat: this is not true.

Yeah  there are quite a few bitmain shills trying to smear you and me and others..

Unfortunately the asic boost of this chip fully exposes bitmain's 18 plus month ability to use covert asic boost. (not saying they did )

So they just attack anyone with any connection to the chip.

Both of us Have dealings with Myrig not Inno_silicon.

For the record My 5 t1's were offered at 7500 usd by Myrig to me.  I agreed to keep them as I like mining at you pool.

I have yet to pay MyRig the 7500 usd for them.

Since  30% + of the network pools now allow this chip to mine.

Bitmain shills go on the attack.

@ viabtc.com
@ BTC.top   pool  why not join the party and allow asic boost?

https://i.imgur.com/JF3AOgf.png

My thoughts are this anyone against asic boost is for bitmain.

I have a logic for this I think bitumen's s11 does not have asic boost

So they have paid and influenced people against the t1 chip with asic boost.
Because the next chip put out by inno_silicon will be better then the S11.
19968  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Set of 200x L3s set up and running in DC on: May 30, 2018, 07:13:04 PM
200x L3s + PSUs FOR SALE: Installed and running in one of the best data centres in IS.

Price includes the fact that you don't have to cover transport costs, installation costs have been paid, attractive and hard to find place at data centre can be taken over - contract with DC will have to be signed as well (and prepayment done directly to them).

Visiting DC possible, escrow at buyer's expense possible, payment in BTC possible.

Price: $1,100 per set so for all 200 => $220,000 or equivalent. (plus possible VAT)

PM for more info.

Dude your price is so far out of line it is sad.

edit:

at 850 in europe  your price may be good now.  depends on power cost.

Phil - Also please note that there is little to know proof of him owning this many L3's.  Would help to see images and userID, and date.

He did go to a more reasonable price.

I am not Eu based but anyone handing over 200 x 880 = 176000 usd,
Should be  smart enough to do  due diligence.
If power cost is low  the price may work out for a miner.

Good luck on the sale. While I have done a lot of escrows I no longer do them so if this  does sell be sure that  you as the buyer are careful.

I'm getting ready to ditch long-term xevan mining and go full-ham on CN7.... with all nvidia I have left.   I think XMR still has yet to 'moon'.   If it keeps up with fighting asics;  its value should go up pretty high compared to history.

This CN7 FPGA that's up for sale....

I can't believe people are that gullible;  even if it is a legitimate thing..... gullible.    I mean;  83 euros just in shipping....   on top of all other issues I have pointed out in their thread.

Makes me curious....
curious about stupidity.
I think FPGA's are more centralized than asic look at the prices their talking how many small miners can pay $4000-$5000 for one miner plus the algos their talking are going to crush these little coins I think it's a freaking joke ppl with their greed are turning cryptos into a circus

Yeah I hear you.
19970  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: May 30, 2018, 02:51:58 AM
Hello thank you for your feedback. No useless augument, see the trend, all new asic design are racing for AB adoption, stratum mining protocol supports AB,  slush pool, f2pool, ckpool among other private pools are all supporting it, very shortly you will see pools that don't support AB are minority.

Can you

A:  work at viabtc.com allowing your miner
B: work at btc.top allowing your miner

I helped bitminter.com add your gear they are allowing it to mine both btc and nmc I think they are the only pool merge mining at the moment.

It would be nice if you can add more pools like the two above.

Many people simply don’t understand the importance of asic boost coming to every pool.
I have been attacked on this for months but I still believe getting every pool on board is very important.
19971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: May 30, 2018, 02:12:56 AM
EVGA 1080ti SC2  68% power, 50core 50mem is doing about 850-875h/s on cryptonight_heavy (Saronite)  with xmr stak , win 10, nvidia 391 driver

how much is that in cash each day?

I still get over 2 usd a day mining zec with my 1080ti's

Those are the indicators for Extended Validation HTTPS certificates. Such certificates are tied to an actual legal entity and the certificate issuer has to verify that the legal entity is actually requesting the certificate before the certificate is issued.

Thank you for a prompt answer.

I think I will try on nicehash thread if I can find it.

Agree. Time to get more efficient period without asicboost.

Translate this  and you are saying let bitmain  keep its secret asic boost on its own pools.

Anyone against halong or inno_silicon  using asic boost is supporting bitmains covert asic boost.

19977  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 1080TI MSI Aero 11GB on: May 29, 2018, 12:14:44 PM
I have a couple of 1080TI MSI Aero 11GB cards that I am willing and interested in taking offers for. I bought these off philipma1957 a few months back, they've been mining gently since then; they were mining gently before then as well. They are very clean, never run above 70c, not overclocked or any nonsense.

I'll accept Monero, BTC, Ethereum and Litecoin. I can sell one or two, depending on what your interest/offer is. Just looking for a fair offer. If I don't get any bites I will throw it up on the auction section and see how it fares there.

philipma1957 would be the escrow for this deal, assuming they are willing to do that and I have no reason to believe they wouldn't be.

I will escrow this as a favor to bill.
The  escrow will cost only the tx fees.
I would have coin sent to my coinbase and when I transfer coins I will make note of tx fees.
Bill is USA located not sure where he wants to ship to but the closer you are to New Jersey/New York/Connecticut the closer you are to him.

As his escrow  BTC ETH LTC work not sure about Monero I have to see what bittrex would charge me as coinbase does not carry monero.

Note this escrow is a personal favor to bill   so I am not charging for it.
I no longer do escrow for fees.

Well  lets say a flat  0.06 watts
Longer warranty such as the 2 year from Avalon.

There would be a demand from any one that needs a space heater.

So this makes sense

19980  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The State of Cryptocurrency Mining by David Vorick (Sia) on: May 29, 2018, 12:58:20 AM
The only reason that ASICs are winning is that ASIC manufactures are bribing developers to do nothing about ASICs taking over an algorithm. It would be very easy for a coin like Zcash to tweak Equihash and prevent all of the Z9s from mining. (Monero showed how simple and effective it is.) Contrary to Vorick's claims, ASICs cannot easily get around such a change -- if they were able to, then they wouldn't be much more efficient than current GPUs.

The author of the blog sells ASICs, so it's in his best interest to make GPU miners think there is no hope. He's also a very sleazy person. He accepted crowd funding for five batches of Siacoin ASICs almost a year ago and has yet to deliver a single product. So given his behavior, I can't trust anything Vorick says. In fact, I'm inclined to believe he's a compulsive liar who will say anything to get money.
In the article, he stated substantiated facts. You posted a bunch of speculation, guess and conjecture glazed over with personal opinion and unwarranted optimism. In short....he's right and you're wrong.

he wrote that article as sour grapes he bet the farm to build an asic rather then securing his al-gore-rythm bitmain handed him his ass and he now spouts off that asics are god and other gear is shit.

I came up with a good analogy.  Asics vs gpus    is  kind of like cars vs bicycles.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
asics + cars  costly loud burn a lot of power.

gpus+bikes cheap quieter burn less  millions of people can afford them

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
asics + cars  go faster and carry more people and cargo, mine faster

gpus + bike go slow carry less people and cargo ,mine slower
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
asics + cars need decent roads and do not maneuver great only do 1 coin or algorithm

gpus + bikes do not really need roads and can be moved around obstacles easily do any coin

you could argue a fpga is like a vespa

my point is the writer of the blog is saying no more bikes they are worthless  go get a car.

And while he may have paved the road with his coin for asics since he wanted his own asic others will alter the roads to stop cars/asics

Should be fun to watch.

and to the Sia developer oh well as seth would say your'e burnt

BTW all of bitumen's moves are based on the simple fact that the .11 watt s-9 edge has been lost.

June 2016 s-9 .11 watts
next best s-7 .25 watts

avalon's gear was .29 in June of 2016

for a 256 miner to have the edge the s-9 once had it would need to do 30 th at 1200 watts and cost 700 usd to build you could sell it for 3k and once again be a true king of btc.

no one can do that with btc.

bitmain want to get far ahead in any algorithm to make tons of money and sia developer were burnt fucking with asics and not developing in the coin.
