Yes this is. They just got me for $25,000. You need to file a criminal complaint with action fraud debisionnof the U.K. Police. If you live in the USA you are also advised to inform the FTC as well as FinCEN the international financial crimes network. Thy are currently locking all their users out of their accounts. Once you money hits the exchange, you will never be able to widthdraw it.

They are a law firm in NYC that is interested in protecting bitcoin traders. You are also implored to contact FinCEN which is the international financial crimes network. |

I use my personal email. Same email I gave the police. It's a long standing verified yahoo account. Iv only receive trade and login confirmations ever. Iv never received a phishing email or anything like that ever.

They are scamming everyone and stealing personal info from people so they can hack any other accounts you might have on other trading platforms. If they have suspended your account for arbitrary reasons they are doing it in order to hold value to their firm. They are stealing your coins as they have done mine. You must file a report with Action Fraud in the U.K. as well as the FTC if you are in the USA. Also FinCEN is the international financial crimes network and they are currently investigating BTC-e as well as other coin sites. There are also a few Bitcoin attorneys in NYC that can help you. Wish everyone luck as well as myself. They locked me out of 711 LTC.

Eventually after enough people file criminal complaints, their UK headquarters and the registered owner will be subpoenaed to court. Most likely the criminals won't show because they are cowards. But that's actually a good throng because then a judge will levy the default judgment. Then the civil suit can begin. And of course since the cowards won't show, a judge will levy default judgment. Iv been running calculations on the profits I potentially lost due to them blocking my account and I plan on filing a claim for the total sum. As if I sold and bought at every daily high and low. I suggest everyone keep track of every daily high and low for your records. Eventually a judge will rule weather a class action suit is applicable, which it obviously is. Once the case reaches class action, that will be the end of BTC-e forever. They don't have enough capital to settle a multimillion dollar fraud suit let alone the balls to show up and face a judge for criminal charges.
Now everything I stated is hypothetical, but those are the steps the police and civil suit lawyers will take. And I plan on being at the forefront of those cases.

No one reads this section.. except a few who might* pop up after they get scammed. Further more.. There is going to be obvious doubt about the validity of all the BTCe scam claims. All of you making claims like this should validate your claim then post them all in one topic. Otherwise a lot of people may suspect that it's 2 or 3 sketchy guys creating 40 accounts here complaining. Do this or you will not be taken seriously. And most importantly i better not hear you went right back in there trading more. If they fucked you around for 40 days ..it means GTFO now ! @yukiko I thought you mean the complainers.. But yeah the support staff may be like that. Worse BOTH could be  Hell i see that regularly all over crypto.. broken English mush mouth foreigners with very weak reading skills.. trying to run their mouth LOL I don't know what you said but.. IT's WRONG ! hahahhah The fact is, filing criminal complaints is the only real action that will accomplish anything. Like you said we can all be fake accounts. What people have to do is not give these criminals any personal information that they can use against you. I personally am refusing to comply with them in giving them any personal information. Any personal info Iv already given is to the police. If BTC-e wants my personal info, then their lawyers can get it in the discovery once the criminal complaint reaches the courts. The fact is, they don't have the right to steal my account and demand that I validate who I am and how Iv acquired my coins. They want that information so they can steal your identity and hack any accounts on other trading platforms. No one give these people any personal info!!! Report everything to Action Fraud and the FTC. You can also contact FinCEN. That's the financial crimes network. They go after international criminals who defraud People. |

Inactivity measures are there to protect older btce account holders that bought their bitcoins for long period from being cleaned out by
thiefs and such. If you are indeed actual owner of the account, you should have the ability to prove it in some way, but you will probably have
to give the info they are looking for in some form.
There is no chance that they are doing something like this out of greed for your few coins, just look at the profit they are turning each day just from fee's..
They are one of the oldest exchanges i know thats still running, they didnt get this far by stealing from their customers.
I once deposited a large sum into an old btc-e account address when it at one point changed,by mistake, and they were nothing but helpful and cooperative to credit it anyway.
It's has nothing to do with inactivity. I was a current member who changed my password every few months. One day I got in a heated argument in the troll box with a modorator and he told me their gonna steal my coins and bam my account... and they did. I'm now out $25,000 with little to no hope of having it returned. They are demanding all sorts of personal information... information they could use to steal other BTC from other trading platforms. Information they could use to steal my identity. Iv filed 3 criminal reports so far with the FTC and Action Fraud in the U.K. The only people getting my personal information are gonna be the police and attorneys. |

Why did you shout out loud here before waiting, then??? We were here to help, but then you are now saying that you are interested in waiting... Nobody is asking you to go "mad" or whatever on them, it's just that you should file up Scam Accusation Report in order to let the users be with you to investigate your case, or else you will wait before the robbers get out with your money and leave you nothing in order to be able to punish them??? How can they be punished. They just did the same thing to me with $25,000 worth of LTC and there isn't any resolution. I filed a report with the FTC and the U.K. Police cyber crime devision. |

I bought the coins as an investment during the first boom and transferred them to BTC-E to see if I could make a little extra cash. Then the bubble burst and I decided to hold onto them. I traded on the site here and there. Changed my passwords every so often to ensure safety. Then when the market recently went back up I decided to get back online and make some trades. I jumped in the troll box and soon enough the moderator told me they are stealing my coins and banning me. Then they did.

BTC-e has locked me out of my account containing 711 LTC. Now they are erasing all my support tickets and it responding. Iv had no choice but to file a complaint with the FTC and the U.K. Fraud devision. Shit sucks I'm out $25000. These people are complete untrustworthy scum. I can't believe they actually stole my account. Iv been a loyal user of the site for 2 years!!! Does anyone have any advice that can help!!!

They are now deleting my tickets without resolving them. Iv filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Comission and I'm gonna be forwarding all information to FinCEN. FinCEN is the financial crimes network.

By the way I bough this as as an inventment like gold. I come from Philadelphia which is a popular gold buying state in America. We don't pay any sales tax of gold or commodities in the like. I saw it like Internet gold. And for some it is. Iv seen success. But unfortunately I trusted the wrong site to trade on. I filed a report with the FTC. So we'll see. I'm also gonna write my congressman about the dangers of investing in foreign trade platforms.

So far nothing. No response and the attorney recommended I hire an attorney in Russia. He also recommended going to the FTC which Iv done. At this point im at a lose. At some point I'll be interviewed and I'll turn my records over to the FTC.

They just blocked my account for fucking in their chat box. I had 711 LTC worth $25000. Far from a noob. They are not responding so Iv just filed a complaint with the FTC and FinCEN. I'm going after them criminally. Everyone needs to start reporting them to the FTC. Once an investigation starts they won't be able to opporate a website in the USA. Their site will get banned.

Iv contacted an attorney in Manhattan and was advised to try and contact simone working with FinCEN (financial crimes). It appears as though we're being screwed out of our investments. At this point I'm filing a report with the us financial crimes network. This is a criminal act. This is our money and these people are widthhding it. They are running websites selling a service to Americans without internet restrictions. They must follow US law. At this point I'm willing to turn over all documents to the federal government and claim it as a $25,000 loss. The more we report this website the sooner the owners end up on the FBIs most wanted list
