@prophettx: thanks for elaborating. In fact we are NOT putting VAT on the bitcoins, only on the service charge. We will rewrite it to make that more clear.

As for the charge itself, we operate faster than those exchanges you mention in terms of time from money leaving your account to bitcoins in hand. Keep in mind normal international transfers cost money and take time, usually a couple of days. By using local bank transfers in Sweden we can minimize transfer cost and optimize delivery time. And that time advantage can count with bitcoins current market volatility. That is not to say we aren't sensitive to complaints and will monitor how receptive customers are to our fee structure.

@prophetx: the VAT is included in that 9%, so it's actually 7.2%. Legally we are required to add VAT, we'll rephrase that so its more clear. Having said that, what would be a percentage that would change your opinion on this?

Hi there,

Frank Schuil here, CEO & Co-founder of Safello.

We will open soon @Roland68, but your sarcasm is appreciated and understood Wink Our company has this week gotten approval from one of the largest banks in Sweden and so far there has not been any objection from Swedish FI (financial inspection).

Whether we can live up to our slogan we'll have to see, but we will do whatever we can to do so.

If any of you want to meet us, please come visit us at the meetup we're organizing in Stockholm together with Stockholm School of Economic sponsored by Stanford Alumni Club: http://www.meetup.com/safello/. We might be able to set up a livestream for the event as well, so we can take on questions through Twitter.

Kind regards,

Frank Schuil

@stenkross: as for the slogan, we will do everything in our power to deliver on that promise. If we don't, we'll change it  Wink

Hi there

Im from South Africa, been in BTC for a month or 2!
Im mining and buying/selling BTC.

I am actually a network engineer.
Work with Cisco type stuff!

Interesting, we're actually transitioning into a network based positioning provider using the DD-WRT firmware. Any experience with that by chance?

What kind of startup?

Two different kinds, one is an indoor positioning company (www.qubulus.com), the other is reviving the '90's slap bracelets (www.clickclacks.com) Shocked)

Hi,

Got here through this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145506 and this one http://www.btcpedia.com/how-to-buy-ripple-xrp/. I've already had a MT Gox account set up and transferred BTC to my Bitstamp attempting to exchange them into XRP. Yes, I failed miserably as you probably already figured out. The data on the above topic seems to have passed and the only other option is to get a free XRP from other users. Any advice for this newbie? Or perhaps there's a friendly user willing to send me 300 XRP to rHcKwR6Y2mge6neZhk9aH1kExrtdx4bcwZ, going for the long shot here.

Not to make this topic completely dull, I do have a question that I didn't find a clear answer to skimming the web or this forum. Is the Ripple currency limited to 100 billion or is there a way to expand it. To the average reader, which I unfortunately am, the lack of mining efforts required make it sound like a "out-of-thin-air" Bitcoin alternative. Who is controlling the code for this currency, is it Opencoin? Probably an ignorant question, but please do enlighten me.

Cheers,
Frank
