21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly was the idea behind bitcoin? on: January 05, 2021, 03:35:59 AM
You are using wrong assumptions to back your claim.
Since Bitcoin is divisible there is no limit. Think of a Satoshi as a unit. If this was a problem in the future due to a high btc price we can add some more 0's later.
Also transaction volume limit is no problem thanks to solutions like lightning.

So yes, Bitcoin is the money for the internet

Check the Bitcoin white paper https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf to find out about the idea behind Bitcoin. You're welcome!

Great comment. Even when 1 bitcoin would be equal to 1 million USD there would still be ways to distribute it and made it usable for smaller transactions. A possible problem would be slow transactions. But as newer technology comes this will be no problem. Another problem would be its user friendly-ness. I myself don't know how to use the lightning network. It's not because I will not understand it. It's the hassle of doing something like that for a 1-time transaction.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cold storage better than coinbase? on: January 02, 2021, 05:17:02 AM
Pretty simple. It's because you have the full authority to your coins. Hence the saying "Not your keys not your bitcoin". Using non-custodial has the possibility to lock or suspend your account for whatever reason. To some extent, aside from considering the security part of your holdings, people are using hardware wallet or even creating their own air-gapped device to improve not just the security but also the privacy of their holdings which is a missing factor in most of the exchange.

But still, putting much of your holdings on a centralized exchange is a big NO since it defeats the purpose bitcoin in the first place. You don't want your wealth to be controlled by banks isn't it? Then you should take a bit of effort to secure your money from intermediaries.

I agree. I would be saving most of my bitcoins on a cold hardware wallet and have some on exchanges for quick trades and maybe some quick cash too. This way if these exchanges would experience emergency things, I will not have my money locked down.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Biggest sad news for XMR, ZEC & DASH Holder on: January 02, 2021, 05:13:44 AM
Why would they delist just because of KYC? All the while some exchanges do keep those coins listed? Is it because the exchange is not competitive enough?
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2021 resolution on: January 02, 2021, 05:09:29 AM
For me,
1. Think first thoroughly before making purchases especially those I made only. I got broken-hearted, then I got this weird habit to spend my savings on expensive things. These things turn out either defective or parts need to be changed.
2. Invest excess money and signature earnings on bitcoin! I should have continued the signature campaigns. Sad now bitcoin is soaring and I don't have money to invest.
3. Learn everything I can this year. I will try my best to thoroughly read long paragraphs of the blog or post here in BTT. I tried this just a while ago and I was shocked at how many details you can get from the post by reading it thoroughly.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: December 27, 2020, 05:05:17 AM
Do you guys have any suggestions on the best, most secure way to purchase and store BitCoins without getting scammed or hacked Huh

If you are going to trade a lot and then exchanges would a better choice. I am not actively trading but I bet popular exchanges are safe. Binance maybe? Hence if you are hodling for the longterm then consider buying a hardware wallet. I have a hardware wallet myself and I transfer funds to exchanges only if "the price is right  Wink" to sell.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the same? on: December 27, 2020, 04:42:12 AM
Another thing is how can you tell if it has a potential  or doesn't  have any?
I was a bounty hunter so I can really tell if a project has huge potential or not, every project has their capacity of bringing funds to bounty hunters which can be categorized under low budget funds(token/usdt/eth/btc) and high budget funds,(token/usdt/eth/btc), I understood from these categories that
  •   Low budget projects approximately $3k paying hunters in token/usdt/eth/btc usually have good potential at the end the campaign. Examples are Injective Protocol, Cartesi, DeFi Yield Protocol
  •   High budget projects approximately $500k+ paying bounty hunters in token usually fail and have less volume if listed on exchange. Examples are Hivenet, TLSGROUP

In conclusion, potential project brings less budgets for bounties hunters. Take note.

I kind of doesn't understand the analogy here. Isn't it good if the project has a huge amount reserved for bounty hunters? That somehow means they will spend more on marketing. Care to elaborate on this more?

For OP, it is hard to check every project you bumped into to check if it is going to be successful or not. What I do is that I stick to a bounty manager with a good track record. These bounty managers, if they are good, check every bounty before they accept managing them. Some even notify people if the project became bad after a few weeks. Well, bounty managers are human too so they make mistakes. But still, the track record and them being able to care to their hunters is sort of the key.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: December 25, 2020, 04:15:22 AM
It is great seeing bigger companies now looking at bitcoin and considering it. It seems it became an exchange where people can easily exchange bitcoin and exchange it back. If I read it right, it looks like it will only transact to those merchants that it has checked. Nevertheless, this is great news for bitcoin.
28  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Small Business that accept bitcoin or cyptocurrency here in PH, worth it ba? on: December 25, 2020, 04:07:24 AM
Wala pa ako nakita na ganito at least near my location. I've been wanting to somehow use crypto for payments because it seems techy and nice. Pero it really depends. Last time I sent bitcoins to my Coins.ph account and it took about 20mins bago sya magka enough confirmation para i show ni coins.ph. Now, imagine nasa store ka tas nag sent ka ng payment and you will need to wait that long bago iconsider ni seller yung transaction mo.

Merry Christmas to everyone in here! It's been nice being here since 2017 when the payment on campaigns is decent. This post is from 2018 but I think it is allowed to still reply? Anyway, may we all have a great week!
30  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Help to make earning website on: December 25, 2020, 03:47:04 AM
Hi guy's
I need help i have 20 - 25$ i wanna make earning site or blog or shortlink site , i jist wanna make 1-5$ daily , i was plan to open faucet but it need more money, then i plan to open short link website but i don't find way to make google ads accept like this site's so any idea plz

Thanks
And sorry for my bad english

The easiest way with this budget is to make a faucet aggregator site and earn from referrals. It will cost you around $8 for domain and a few bucks for hosting.

You can use https://getbootstrap.com/ + https://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp. There are plenty of tutorials on both sites.

This is the first time I've heard of this and just by searching I can see that this actually is a pretty good source of passive income. I just wonder do google Adsense accepts these kinds of a website?

No, AdSense will reject you with just faucet aggregator. They demand sites to have real content with informational value.

But you could try to monetize it with other Ad networks, just look what other aggregators are using and use it too.

For example, check: https://earnacrypto.com/
At the bottom are two banners from two different Ad networks.

Thanks! you are right. There are still other ad networks I can use. I will try to build the business plan and see if this will be profitable and if it can support itself. Don't want it to be one of those websites that are now down.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you take loan(s) to invest in crypto? on: December 19, 2020, 12:25:10 PM
I wonder if there is a bank that would allow a loan for an investment like trading for crypto. Maybe if you are building a business or an ICO? Or if you take it off your credit card, which probably is a bad idea.

Plus, investing in crypto is too risky and you using a loan for it is surely not a good idea.

No , majority of them are just Cheat on Adsense. They are using trick of referrer domain. If you hit those redirector links directly there u will find no Shortner details.  Grin

Adsense never allow such sites.

I see. Because there is no actual post or content on these kinds of websites, google AdSense won't allow the website. I can't think of an actual (not a cheat) way for it to be legal. Maybe putting space for self-advertising? Or selling these spaces? HAHA, I literally like the idea but I don't want to cheat.

34  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Maganda pa ba ang Bounty Hunting Ngayong 2021? on: December 19, 2020, 10:57:25 AM
Basically speaking ganoon yung nangyayari.

Kapag naman sumali ka sa mga bounty campaign like signature campaign, social media camp, blog writing and what not, most of the time nagbabayad naman yung mga campaign manager.

Another point is, if ever na nagimg successful ang project, nalist sa exchange at may value; madalas namam biglang dump yung price kasi ang habol lang naman talaga mg tao is to take profit and then abandon the project.

Maraming salamat!

The team is awaiting the Apple App Store approval. There was a couple of bugs to iron out in the app and it was resubmitted.

Mainnet release imminent
no news yet about what you post. what is going on is there any future of this token or our token are just useless now. price of opus token is almost nothing
and you made false promises. tell us the truth that you working on the project with some good developer or not
what about apple app store approval.?
The truth is - project is dead. Correct me devs if I am wrong.
it looks like the project is dead and you are right. my investment are gone i bought this token long ago when its price was 200 satoshi. still holding opus tokens now i can not even sell them at fair price where i can get my half investment back.

Opus facebook page seems still updating. Look at this update from them last December 12, 2020 about them launching on main net. https://www.facebook.com/opusfoundation/posts/772328536694905
I think the problem for us who still holds OPUS is that there is actually no Exchange where we can trade it. But it seems usable on the platform.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't find my bitcoin account anymore on: December 18, 2020, 11:39:33 AM
good morning
about 5-6 years ago I opened a bitcoin account but now I can't find it anymore who can help me?
this was the address
https://blockchainbdgpzk.onion/wallet/0412b718-4898-4ad9-8ccc-ccfd7a09fd0a#
tank you

Do you have a balance their? if not then its nonsense to re-open that since its 5-6 years gone already and better to create new one rather than mesmerizing about the wallet. And also if there's a balance inside then provably you will get a hard time to retrieve that since you need a very skilled guy who can penetrate that which is rare to find here.

Goodluck.
sorry but I opened the account because I was asked for a ransom to free my PC and the only data I have are these I can't get any more

So you just opened it and not transferred funds on it yet? Then may we ask what is the reason you wanted to access this wallet again? Agreed like the others that if there are no funds on it, better leave it and create a new wallet.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO or buy BTC? on: December 18, 2020, 11:34:11 AM
ICO reputation is so bad it is too risky to take the option to invest in ICO better choose to buy bitcoin even though the price is too high
at least the bull run season is still happening today of course it will be easier to get profit
I would not expect an easy profit if you'll buy today, it requires deeper knowledge on how to be profitable in a short period of time because that's what you are suggesting, buying bitcoin to hold is good but I believe the right time is when bitcoin will dip and it will happen soon when bitcoin corrects after the bull run.

I agree. Bitcoin just bulled and it is now close to the resistance line where before it has dropped real hard. There is a chance that if you buy now the same thing will happen. So it is much safer to buy at a dip.

I would suggest if OP really wanted to invest. Start by buying other coins that have proven themselves already.
