I know I said it before, but let me repeat this again, now without any guilt:
If I lose your money – tough luck! Go ask Come-from-Beyond why there are no checksums in the system.
I wash my hands.
How old are you? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) This is not the way to operate the exchange.

@ CfB
Can the network expand beyond the 360,000 msg per Day limit?
This question "Come-from-Beyond" expected since first day of his signup on bitcointalk... Finally you asked it!

I am quite satisfied with the DGEX, it has some cons and prons like any other internet project, but anybody can switch to any other exchange, if there 'll be better one for his personal opinion.
The high volume which i generate by trading on DGEX is always free from worry for me.
The whole NXT currency is not yet stable, so what should we expect from services who is operating with millions of NXT? Of course they 'll be careful and take precautions which may seems to other people as something very annoying.
money seized for days becausse of possible fraud , you call that just anoying. Well dgex has his haters and his supporters app. Pin We dont know another side of the issue.

The self-organization process is not yet completed, it's like 1yr baby.

Core devs, please, stop adding new features and focus on making what's already there work right first! As someone who works with it a lot during the day, I can tell you - it's in a very sorry state, nowhere near ready for mass adoption.
And what are the features now? Registering aliases and trading? That's all? What problems do you have? blockchain crash

I dont think it's worth to release the one of the hottest and wanted functions of NXT (P2P messages) with so many restrictions which 'll seriously limit its usage.
- Message volume is limited by its price (1 NXT per message) - Message volume is limited by NXT protocol itself, so even with message price correction:
10 messages per hour per each user = 240 messages * 1500 users = 360,000 messages.
So, are we going to release some marketing trick or real P2P messaging revolution? What a joke!
Could anyone tell me , who is your niche for P2P message delivery with the price of 1 NXT? Edward Snowden ? Julian Assange ? Who else?
So ?
Agree. We shouldn't confuse messages as a way to send data to a person with arbitrary messages as a way to store data on the blockchain. They r completely different. When creating a message, what about an option to prune/expire that message from the blockchain after a specified X confirmations? They'll be removed during the annual shrinking. After that such the messages will be available only via Service Providers. Service Providers? Decentralization? Please describe!

Just wondering if you guys are using unit tests now?
I don't use them, looks like a waste of time to me. I've seen a lot of projects that had a lot of specifications, testing and other voodoo magic things and still failed. +1!

Where the guy who was going to create a decentralized poker game? With AM it becomes possible.
No, if NXT price is 1 USD ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Agree. We shouldn't confuse messages as a way to send data to a person with arbitrary messages as a way to store data on the blockchain. They r completely different. People are confused already. Then lets rename 'message' to 'data store' and define this function as P2P information storage available for selected number of recepients ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Why is it necessary to announce IP address of forging nodes? Every node is forging, or not?
Senders must know where to send transactions to. If they broadcasted them to all the nodes we would need petabyte links. we dont; really need MASS MESSAGING @ 10,000 per Sec. rate at the moment. We need 100 TX per. Sec. Max.....AT THIS POINT! That would allow 8 million transaction in 24 hours.....would this be doable? No, current limit is 360'000 messages in 24 hours. I dont think it's worth to release the one of the hottest and wanted functions of NXT (P2P messages) with so many restrictions which 'll seriously limit its usage. - Message volume is limited by its price (1 NXT per message) - Message volume is limited by NXT protocol itself, so even with message price correction: 10 messages per hour per each user = 240 messages * 1500 users = 360,000 messages. 1500 users MAX ? Another representation of the current nxt distribution: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs28.postimg.org%2F5yvd1rw6h%2FNxt_Dist.jpg&t=663&c=5b-rCU0lHMP92A) Notes: - Size of rectangle is proportional to amount of nxt - Colours: i) accounts shown in green have a public key ii) accounts shown in red don't have a public key iii) accounts shown in blue represent my personal stash - 1 Account != 1 Person. For instance, dgex has at least two large accounts; there are community accounts, donation accounts, etc; plus some people have multiple accounts - There may of course be mistakes in my script, so the diagram may be completely wrong Awesome! Thank you!

What does "broadcasting" means? Is there a way to implement a message in a transaction?
It's used to force peers to recall a transaction if they forgot about it. Edit: Very soon we'll get Arbitrary Messages. 1 message = 1 NXT ?

BTC deposits are temporary closed, seems like there is a bit of a problem with blockchain.info.
I told you it's not reliable to use 3rd party processings, especially if you are crypto exchange. Now the moneyflow is corrupted and it affects the market instantly.

James, i have no information, he promised to compose an article for NXT news about the conference, but we didnt receive it yet.
I also hope it is false alarm.

does anybody know about mcjavar? We were in the middle of a transaction, he sent me NXT, I sent BTC, he disappeared ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I hope he is just offline, but timing is a bit distressing. I received 13K, so I sent the full 2BTC, expecting 20334 more NXT to arrive. His acct he sent it from is empty: 11433600460445633305 **** My BTC: 12UBzX8csUVpaPYya8aw7WWU8L3sQ6X6xo Please send the 2 BTC to this address and I will deliver the other 20334 from my main account, but I want to make sure that you receive the first 13k.. **** bitcoin transaction 5a173ed430eb61274a518d87b2ef8d128c8685aea39ed90e3d2feca6341f32db James P.S. I know I shouldn't have sent all 2BTC, but I had dealt with him before, never expected any funny business over 1.2 BTC We really need a safe place to trade NXT! As i know, he is collecting funds (accepting donations) for a conference. Don't panic yet.

I don't think that is a huge issues. The 250m are most likely from people that don't even know that you have to make a transaction to create a public key. Hell i didn't know until 7 days ago and i have 6 digits of them...
It is not clear to me (and possible to others). What is the difference between accounts with pubkey and without? My digits are also worried.

P.S. My guess is that a lot of the 250 million(!) darkNXT is founder or large early adopter NXT put into "savings" accts, without realizing (or caring) about the "weak" 64 bit security
You forget about probability of huge transfer made accidentally by stakeholder to wrong account number because of NXT Client freeze, like many other users who had such issue before but with less amounts. We would have heard about it by now if someone did lose millions of $ due to the client freeze. Besides, what mechanism can a freeze make a right account number become a wrong one ? Unfortunately, this has not been reliably replicated, so all we have are some anecdotal evidences. This is not anecdote, but a bug hardly to reproduce (happened to me), just imagine you have a corrupted memory in your laptop ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I can't get any access to DGEX for the last 5 hours (18 hours since my last login) Not even getting a start page, just server not responding. Tried clearing browser caches, tried Firefox and IE, XP and 7, but nothing Can get to the login page via my mobile, so I know they are up, but the site isn't exactly optimised for phone use.
Anyone else with the same problem and/or possible solutions? Does the new security algo block certain IPs or browser/OS versions?
ping dgex.com , which IP do you see?
