I am sure we touched the bottom today. so i am going to real Estate Dealer for selling my house and buy bitcoin. I suggest you all do that

Make it short term  chances going $9k is slightly big.   The timing is good when its 9k to 13k.  I wish I could short sell.  Borrow 100btc to sell it at 12.7k.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elite [MANDATORY UPDATE] 20.89% APR | POS ONLY on: January 18, 2018, 11:42:55 AM
I uploaded the blockchain file for the wallet.   It's really slow syncing but I manage to download it all.    This is the first time doing this but I tested it on other PC to make sure it work.  Updated till today.

24  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't Use Coinmarketcap on: January 14, 2018, 03:38:45 AM
I already notice this before.  Everytime I check XRP it's like $2 higher so I had to go in list to check the exchange that have an account with.    People should be already not to follow the price display on the main list.

Main list
https://coinmarketcap.com/

Market list on specific coin
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets

It's extra steps but that's what I been doing this for weeks after I notice a huge price difference.
25  Other / Off-topic / Is Telegram really secure? on: January 14, 2018, 03:33:10 AM
I just read on google searches.   There is mixed information.   How can these pump and dump scam groups hide behind Telegram?    Some say it's not really a good way to do secret chats.

They don't even enable the secret chats by default.   Yet they claim it's secure.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining and taxes in US on: January 12, 2018, 04:52:10 PM
The crypto tax happen.  So this new law makes mining 100% profit.     Because crypto to crypto trade in US based exchanges are being tax.

With my case this wouldnt count mining equipment and the electric bills as losses since I'm not using my own money.  Is this correct?

Lately I been trading from the mining generated coins.   So gains and losses is useless information.   All Im doing increasing and decreasing the profit at this point
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From Memecoin to Billion Dollar Player - Dogecoin Breaks $1 Bln on: January 06, 2018, 01:54:52 PM
the only thing that this shows is that people regard altcoins purely as an speculation tool and nothing else, even if their market capitalization is an arbitrary large number. there is no usage for Dogecoin! what has it achieved after all these years? what merchant is accepting this crypto"currency"?

these are the factors that matter not market cap!

At least they are trying. lol  I'm a bit tired of bitcoin being the only coin because that $5 purchase in Steam cost me $12 extra.   And people complain about small payments flooding the network during that race to $19k.   Wasn't everyone thinking bitcoin could be used in the groceries?   These stuff keeps money in the market-cap.   Imagine people getting paid by and using that towards necessities without exchanging to fiat.   These things could keep money inside but the fees hurt the idea a lot.  I would love to pay electric, house, internet and gas bill in bitcoin.   Those employees get paid in bitcoin.   Everything would circulate instead being one way out when needed.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: REASON FOR ANONYMITY on: December 30, 2017, 01:05:03 PM
Hello everyone, I've been following posts on this forum for long and I've come up with this question, why are bitcoin transactions anonymous, this is causing a lot of problem for people with tons of it, cos your coins could be stolen and moved to another wallet without any way to trace

I don't think it's that anonymous.   Bitcoin mixer services wouldn't exist if it is.   By the time you make a transfer from Coinbase or an exchange connected to your bank account.   That information can be tracked.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: December 29, 2017, 06:10:04 AM
Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. It can be possible to improve the country by improving their lives by earning bitcoin. That is why Bitcoin among all Habetahale to spread the knowledge of the second day will increase the demand for Bitcoin.

There is trading which is open to anyone.   I mean no one can decline you.   It's up to you.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 28, 2017, 12:25:16 AM
Yes the difficulty on XZC is up allot over the past week, and amount of coins per day may be down 30%, but the exchange rate for XZC is up from $40 a week ago to ~$67 today.... that makes it even better to mine now even with the jump in difficulty. Who knows where it will be in another week or two, but it's pretty nice right now.

Yeah , sure, but if Zcoin price crashes before you sold your stack, it becomes bad.. With the insane difficulty

That's when you rebuy with profits you earn and get more.  Person I get trade calls from said to rebuy on dip.   This guy is prophet of profit.  lol

I manage to buy at 28k.   I could put stop limit at 35k.   If it dips just be patient.  I learn my lesson when cashing Vertcoin too early during the summer.   I could have got $1000 per day if I sold now.

lol Lets update that post.   It's 80k now.   Don't be that daily profit chaser.   You will never win.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price dropped 25%; Should we be worried? on: December 22, 2017, 12:08:38 PM
There is a healthy correction currently happening in the market. Cryptos are very volatile, so it is common to see them drop 25% or more one day, and the same for increases. Having said that, you need to diversify to manage risk.

When I got into crypto trading scene.   I wish sports betting was like this.   Once you lose the bet the money is with the bookmaker.

In trading.  It just happen it got cheaper than your original purchase but you still own 100% of it.   Like you buy .1 BTC at 15000.   You still have that .1 BTC no matter what price it goes to.   You have that control not like in sports betting.

I manage to get in 17200 before it go 18000 then it drop fast to 16200 and I waited like few days it went up to 17400 and sold it.

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving. on: December 18, 2017, 08:48:18 AM
This is not a problem for the believers of bitcoin. For sure the value of bitcoin will only rise as more and more people will become interested in it. Some might be even "hodling" from the start when bitcoin was introduced. The real question is, How long can you hold? Because at some point, you will have to use it right?  Wink

Same goes with fiat.   You have to use it.   No difference.    You save bitcoin like you save money.   It's nice that bitcoin encourage people saving instead being in debt all the time.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 18, 2017, 05:54:49 AM
Kind of frustrating that people can't be bothered to read this entire thread, yeah it takes some time but if you want to mine with your 1080ti it will be a benefit to you as 90% of the questions being asked are in the thread.  I did it...

Sharing our graphic card settings is useless, every card is different.  Almost every single one of my graphics cards are set do different +Core then the other.  Powerlimit is all up to you and how much you care that electric bill will be.  You have to just do your homework and increase things until it goes boom and then dial it back!

You don't know what miner to use for what algo?  What is the fastest one?  Install MultipoolMiner or Nemos, etc and let the benchmarks run - if you don't want to use the program then take the fastest miners out and remember what algo they are for.

/2cents rant over...

TC isn't updating the the front page.   Not many people would search or google like I would do.   If you hate people asking the same question over and over then update the front page.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does mining in America die with net neutrality? on: December 17, 2017, 06:47:59 AM
The death of net neutrality is a good thing.  Keep the government out of it.  We don't need them censoring what content we have access to.  Allow the free market to operate.  Some ISP tries to throttle you or block crypto sites then another ISP will pop up and offer better service.  Free market FTW!!

It doesnt work that way.   lol  Google tried to expand in my area but it got block by AT&T and the city.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins in 2018? on: December 16, 2017, 12:20:01 AM
What do u think bitcoin will countinue this insane grow in 2018, its worth to hold my altcoins?
I am very disappointed, i started crypto 4 month ago, and my portfolio now worth the 1/3 value in bitcoin as when i started this..
2018 will be the year of altcoins, or bitcoin get an absolute dominance?

TBH Bitcoin is insanely expensive when people start transferring too much.   It's so god damn annoying when I tried to transfer $5000 and it get stuck for a few days plus fee was $35.   Too expensive especially on small purchase.   Why do I have to pay $10 for $5 product on Steam?

I hope people start using the major altcoins to reduce the network load of Bitcoin.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MONA] Monacoin LAUNCHING 2014/01/01 0:00 GMT on: December 15, 2017, 08:15:04 PM
Monacoin needs to get listed on another exchange than Bittrex. 0.2 fee if you want to withdraw, they are just stealing their custumers.

OMG yeah.  I just realize how much I spend on the fees.   Imagine if Monacoin was at $50 and they still charge .2.   Only benefits people withdrawing large amounts.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 14, 2017, 11:42:25 PM
People overlook one thing each card model tier has different TDP setup.

MSI Lightning X on my gaming PC can do 70 MH/s at 65%.   It doesn't mean shit.   lol  It still use more power than my EVGA 1080 ti miners when you put them on ratio.  Kill a watt shows a huge difference.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: December 13, 2017, 03:09:35 AM
I use it from time to time but not a lot.   I used it for Steam mostly until the fees got way to expensive.  $12 for $5 game is too much.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - First Scrypt N | First Stealth Address - Privacy without mixer on: December 12, 2017, 10:19:02 PM
Hello Vertcoin community!

I am the author of MKXMiner lyra2rev2 miner for AMD videocards: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2360168

I would like to claim the 10,000 VTC bounty and open source my miner.

Mining speeds will be higher than these:
Radeon Pro Duo: 85MHs
Fury: 55MHs
RX 580: 39MHs
RX 480: 36MHs
R9 390: 32MHs
R9 380X: 26MHs
R9 280X: 26MHs

Please do contact me in PM via bitcointalk if you are willing to proceed.

Thank you
WinMKX

39 MHs on a Rx580? That makes the 1080ti pretty useless. AMD wins VTC mining.

Very nice that's good.  We need most of the AMD users at Vertcoin.   I'm making $20 a day with a single RX580 8G.
