I'm probably the only person here who uses Ethman, but does anyone else have an issue where it constantly closes itself? Very frustrating.

Not me. I have Ethman running on 4 rigs (RX470, Win10 Pro, blockchain drivers) for days with no issue.

So I could use Bitmain APW3++ power supply with Bitmain Antminers now?
I have about 100 psu and Antminers on the way to Gigawatt and im on Batch 4.
How could I get these hardware up and running before batch 4 token release?

No, GW has to find other power supplies that are approved for use in the US. I guess the challenge right now is to procure thousands of such power supplies in a short period of time. If your miners arrive and can be deployed at GW before your tokens are released, you probably have to rent tokens for them if you want to start mining right away.
GW support is saying until I get my batch of tokens (Batch 4) I can't rent any tokens.
BM just delivered 2 L3+ and GW is going to send that back to me because I don't have wtt tokens.
So If I buy wtt tokens from EtherDelta exchange about 1000 WTT Tokens could I run 1 L3+ and rent tokens for other miner?
And
I got 100 BM PSU is on the way and I can't cancel the PSU order with BM what am I going to do?
This really sucks...

If you ordered those 100 L3+ and power supplies through GW, I guess you can try to get some WTT tokens from EtherDelta to be eligible for renting tokens and have GW deploy those L3+ instead of sending them to you. If they deploy your miners, hopefully, they will take care of the supply power issue for you. If you order your equipment directly from Bitmain, you may have to figure out what to do with them yourselves. Your best bet is to contact GW support to find out what options you have.

I dunno how psu issue with the ul would be fixed and it's nerve racking because we bought early batches... you know the story.
My be they can change some setting, I dunno, so the hardware is UL compliant and non "hazardous".

There are basically 2 options: 1) GW procures UL listed power supplies from another source and returns OEM ones to BM, or 2) BM somehow gets its power supplies certified by UL. I believe GW is pursuing option 1 at the moment.

Hitbtc seems much lower why not get it from Hitbtc?
You CAN'T withdrow from Hitbtc, because it's futures they are selling.   They will allow to withdraw only after WTT will start trading on exchanges, and there will be blockchain for it.  This won't happen till 2018 I assume.   Another thing is that you can't 100% trust hitbtc, because it has no transperent owners.  If they disappear some day, you will loose all tokens.  It's much safer to rent.

September 15: HitBTC still doesn't allow withdrawal of WTT tokens... No communication. No ETA. Nothing. At this point I recommend to not trust them. (Thankfully I'm not a HitBTC user.)

IIRC, only IOUs of WTT are traded on HitBTC, not real WTT tokens. If you really want to buy WTT tokens right now, you can try EtherDelta.com. I wouldn't buy any WTT on HitBTC until it is officially listed there.

is there any update on releasing the third batch? I can't wait to rent out my WTT token and if I will buy more token to increase my daily profit.

Current value of WTT: $2.20

I expecting that the value would rise up once they released the third batch token.

No update on slack. They are pretty silent on this issue.

I am first batch and still waiting for my miners to show up. We will soon enough see whether wtt is under- or overvalued  Smiley

There isn't much activity on their Slack channel. Try their Telegram channel instead. It's much more active. GW CEO, Dave Carlson, said this morning that GW people were putting together info for equipment purchasers and that emails would be sent out to them with some indication as to which POD (or which set of power capacity that comes online) their miners would go into. According to their timeline, POD 1 at Pangborn already passed "Final City inspection prior Launch of the POD" and "UL listing inspection". "Hardware Deployment" is next on 09/16/17, "UL labeling" on 09/17 and "L&I Final Inspection - Occupancy" on 09/18. It seems the issue with BM power supply was resolved. WTT tokens for batch 3 and 4 are delayed for 5-6 weeks still. Hope it helps.

Dave promised to send weekly updates. 1 week passed, but did anybody see that update?  Cheesy

Yep.
I really don't like delays. And no news on top of it. Nothing on twitter, Insta, ... Nada.  Roll Eyes

I just joined Giga Watt slack channel to try to learn more about the delay. I am going to copy and paste what was posted yesterday by davidellison for those who do not have access to Giga Watt slack channel. BTW, you must email Giga Watt support and ask for an invitation to be able to join their slack channel.

1.  The delays as you can see from the timeline have mainly come from the codes inspectors.  GW is pulling in enough power for a small town and so they are scrutinizing everything.

2.  The GW team has been working very hard to address their concerns even though they may be small or petty.

3.  The latest controversy is over the PSUs from Bitmain.  Their PSUs don't have any formal agency stamp of approval and as a result will not allow GW to use them.  The ironic part is that Megabigpower (Dave Carlson's preceding company) has been successfully using them for many months.

4.  So to address "PSU gate" (as it's being referred to), GW is going to use another power supply available to them to get the first mining rigs up and going.

5.  It appears that the first Pod (or two - not sure) have received approval to commence mining once the PSU issue is resolved.

6.  So, GW is looking to get the first mining rigs up and running by the middle of this week (Wednesday).  Thankfully the GW team is willing to substitute their PSUs (as many as they have available) to get things rolling.

7.  GW is working with Bitmain to return the uncertified PSUs for credit (over $1M credit) and then pursue finding an alternate PSU.  GW has experience with other PSUs and is well aware of which units are preferred from a reliability and efficiency standpoint.  The challenge now, I believe is to find these alternate PSU’s quickly and at a reasonable cost.

I’m probably leaving out some info but I believe I’ve covered the main points of what’s been communicated.

Also, don’t be surprised if my understanding isn’t 100% completely accurate.

Hope this helps….if you have any questions, I’ll attempt to answer as best I can.

8.  Oh yeah….the other challenge with using another PSU is the connectors.  Fortunately, GW has experience with making connectors to interface with the Bitmain miners.

Still no news from anybody mining or renting their tokens to a miner ?
Anybody reported on it ?

The pandaminer offer was suppose to start around july 30th ? I have seen on twitter the 1st batch of miners arrived at their facility july 28th.

We are august 11th so I suppose that we should be very close from having the 1st pod up and running ? if it is not already happening...?

It would be great to have some up to date on what's already working and what's going to happen for the next days and weeks.

I am renting my batch 1 tokens as we speak. Easy system and works perfectly so far! My miners will only come next month, so i cannot give you any info on that yet.

Can you elaborate? At what rate are you renting out your tokens? Is there a marketplace where you can choose offers to rent tokens? Is there any contractual time-limit on tokens rented out to miners? TYI.

Hi guys, I have a noob question here. How do I set the following environment variables in Ubuntu?

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

I know "setx" is used in windows, but how do I do it in linux?. I've tried Google search but could not find answers. TIA.

USE THE COMMAND "EXPORT"--

At the top of your BASH script, place the following:

export GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=0
export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

Please note that the syntax is slightly different.  An "equal" sign is required.         --scryptr

Thank you very much, scryptr!!!

Has anybody seen the PandaMiner B3 Plus offered at Giga Watt?

Yes, but right now Pandaminer is having trouble getting GPUs. This message may help:

Thanks, Zed. Just read that thread a few minutes ago. People seem to be not too happy with the company. Their website advertises the 5th batch Of PandaMiner B3 Plus Pre-sales (1000 Units). Shipping starts on 07/17/17. Are people in this still going to buy the PandaMiner from them? I want to order a couple but really am hesitant after reading that thread.
I wanted them but yeah opted to avoid them because of their thread, they sold out extremely fast when giga-watt offered them though

Maybe I'll wait until it's offered through Giga-Watt.
