Hi, i have a rx 580 Nitro+ 4Gb gpu, with a power supply of 650w
if I only use ethereum mode, all its fine (24mh/s) but, when I try dual mining, after a short time, my pc reboots, could it be caused by lack of current or voltage?
I run the miner only with required parameters, epool dpool wallets, and passwords, my rx 580 is NOT modded and running at 60-64ºC
Could anyone help me with that?
Also.. which pool is the best for 1 GPU?
Thanks
NOT ENOUGH POWER-- You need a 1000W PSU for 5 to 6 GPUS. A PSU needs to have more capacity than the maximum power draw for ALL of your GPUs combined. The highest efficiency is at about 60-70 percent of the rated capacity of the PSU. You can not get by without overloading and burning out a low-power, low efficiency PSU. 5 x 150W equals 750W, and that is greater than 650W (your PSU). A low-wattage algorithm may work for a while, but the PSU will still burn out. It could also explode or catch fire. I no longer buy cheap, unrated PSUs. Stick with Gold, or Platinum, from a reliable manufacturer with a soiid warranty. A PSU will really explode if over-worked. --scryptr yeah, 1000w for 5 o 6 gpu, but I only have one, that should be enough...or not? YOU SHOULD BE GOOD-- In your case, I would begin checking for another hardware problem. Overheating, or a poor connection somewhere. It still could be the PSU, if your PC has a bargain PSU. --scryptr http://www.coolmod.com/nox-urano-600w-fuente-psu-precio?virtuemart_category_id=1495This is my psu (bougth 6 or 7 years ago with the cpu and motherboard (the newest component is the gpu) could you evaluate it please? IT SEEMS GENERIC-- The specifications are not in English. Most USA PSU manufacturers use an efficiency rating scale involving colors: White, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium, with Titanium being tops. Not all manufacturers use all of the colors for their models. An "80+ Gold" PSU is considered good. The PSU you linked for me did not have a rating. I have some older PSUs that really just have a wattage number tacked on, but can barely produce 1/2 the load that is claimed on the label. The other thing is the warranty. The best warranty service in the USA, for my money,is EVGA . I just bought 2 EVGA 80+ Platinum PSUs that have 10-year warranties. EVGA backs up their warranty with service. Your PSU is likely fine for 1 GPU, especially an RX 580. For some reason (it was very late when I answered your post), I thought you had a multi-card rig. If you do build a multi-card rig, don't try to save money with a cheap PSU. the better-rated PSU will use less electricity and last longer. That means the GPUs will pay for the PSU more quickly, even if it is an expensive model. --scryptr I have search on internet... I got that my psu has an Efficiency of >=72% the lowest rating you are talking (bronce) has 81% so my psu has only 72% of 600, 432w... Also, since i changed from gtx 960 to rx 580 Some videogames are forcing pc reboot, (only the new ones) for example FIFA 17 when selecting "no fps limit" instead of fixing it on 60fps) I have used GPU-Z to check temp and speeds, when the card is at the maximum speed, and consuming 180w, it reboots the pc. Analizing all of this.. I think that I need to change my PSU...

Whenever I run the batch file I get the following message using Claymore Dual Miner:
ETH: Stratum - Cannot connect to us1.ethpool.org:3333 ETH: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec...
I have tried numerous pools. I would really appreciate any help into understanding why this happens.

What is wrong with AMD GPU at Dual Mining ?
My Dual Mining Settings: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal MyAdress -epsw x -dcoin sia -dpool stratum+tcp://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:7777 -dwal MyAdress -dpsw x -ftime 10
Try to play with -dcri key. Set it about -dcri 10 and press + / - in miner window to find the best value Thank you, i think it is ok now. What are your clocks for your 1080ti? I'm only getting ~32.5mh/s Eth and ~2450mh/s Dcr while dual mining.

Can you access websites from the miner? Is port 3333 outgoing blocked on your router?

I have stability issues when dual mining too, sometimes the rig works for more than 24 hour and then without any problem hangs, nothing in the log. Sometimes it can't mine for more than 10 minutes and I was forced to return to ETH only.

You've used -ethi 0 and it's still not working? The most low GPU load is "-ethi 0".Is it normal to have only 16% gpu usage on HwInfo ? i'm getting about 230 Mh/s @ 1000watt ( 4 rx480 + 4 rx 580 ) That's awesome. How is this possible? My 2x R290 needs 550W for 50Mh/s

Any chance to revert the new gpu indexing method? Or have a switch to change it between new and old. Claymore stopped working with NiceHashMiner after the changes, it is always the wrong gpu that starts mining, when nicehash starts claymore.

If you really need it, use "-dontsortgpu 1" option (undocumented).

i think i found a bug:
- on my AMD rig the command -r 60 restart claymore every 60minutes like it should, - on my NVIDIA rig the exact same command restart the whole computer... why ?

Does anyone know what the most common/probable causes are for a gpu hanging? One of my RX580s hangs after about 15 or 20 minutes every time. Very frustrating.

Has anyone heard a timeline for undervolting on linux? Seems like we are waiting on AMD to provide proper driver support, is that still the case?
THanks

Check your network connection, if you use wireless, change it to cable. It's on wireless, you might be right. While my main PC is on cable.

Hi guys, I have a noob question here. How do I set the following environment variables in Ubuntu?
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
I know "setx" is used in windows, but how do I do it in linux?. I've tried Google search but could not find answers. TIA.

USE THE COMMAND "EXPORT"-- At the top of your BASH script, place the following: export GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=0 export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100 export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 Please note that the syntax is slightly different. An "equal" sign is required. --scryptr
