Is server down? Cuz my wallet doesnt sync
Yes it seems that our server expired. Unfortunately they raised their price to $45 a month. We hired a service to host a blockchain explorer for us which was supposed to be up on Friday, but it still doesn't seem to be up. That was supposed to replace the current node we use :/

We've got a mining pool-

I'm talking to a few now, but not this one- I'll contact them now, thanks!

Time for a pool- Dorfcoin has gotten a bit difficult to mine, so we need a pool going. Anyone interested in setting one up? We will reimburse you $10 USD monthly via paypal for your services! Keep in mind it must stay up nearly 24/7 with minimal downage time.

ok, thanks, please notify for any news. We all waiting for them ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I've talked to my partner and it seems the difficulty is due to a few miners with powerful GPUs suddenly stopped mining, so their difficultly has remained high. The options are to either mine with a weaker GPU so the difficultly can come back down, or start a mining pool. We're looking into the second option now.

Block 287 is stuck for 6 days now, I can't mine with gpu through qt wallet because it's not synced. Mining with cpu at 4.7 diff is crazy, we need pool or something like that.
I've been having issues with the wallet myself. There might be a bug with the blockchain- we'll have a look.

Good news! Any plans on fork? That could be useful
How so? I guess the coins still stuck... as it stands broken coin linux version crashes after a while, attempting to restart wallet fails due to wallet being open yet wallet process has been terminated. still no github or source link so can't compile my own or check source We're having troubles with github- can't figure out the interface. Here's the source code from another source, however- http://www.mediafire.com/file/gf6bmpshpq3c9dt/dorfcoin-source.tar.gzWe'll look into that right now.

Any news devs?
We're talking to someone for block explorer hosting. If all goes well, we should have it up before the end of the week.

Did you hit block 278 or 279? You didn't fork as it's part of the node.
both, that there's blocks 278 & 279 12 hours apart! Yes, it might have something to do with the server. We're planning to create another node to speed things up. Sorry for my ignorance but what do nodes do? And how do you create more? Nothing wrong with asking questions ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It's like a public server wallet, that everyone connects to. Right now there's only one, and everyone is trying to sync and mine from that one node. It can be created by making your synced wallet a public server so that others can sync and mine from it as well.

We're looking to buy an annual node/block explorer server to continue developing our altcoin. Are there any recommended services? We would greatly prefer to pay USD/CAD for the first payment due to liability reasons.

... took almost 12 hours but finally hit a block, no confirms yet though ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) not looking good Which CPU are you mining with as of now? None- I'm currently out of sync. I usually mine with a core of i5-6600k when I do, however. Keep in mind we support GPU mining now, which is more effective than CPU mining. Hit another block while at work I've either forked or am the only person to find any in last 24 hours using a few old asic miners (2*gridseed orb & 4*zeus blizzards) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.supload.com%2FSJqIblu4-.png&t=664&c=3v9pQHVktOtuNA) Did you hit block 278 or 279? ... ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) using the binary, just waiting on sync 4 connections but currently stuck at block 277 15 hours ago, i'll leave it for a bit after a restart I'm seeing the same thing. We may have a bug here; has anyone been able to mine in the past 8 hours? I'll point a couple of mh at it and see what happens took almost 12 hours but finally hit a block, no confirms yet though ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) not looking good Which CPU are you mining with as of now? We're going to open another node in hopes that'll speed things up. Confirmation will come in the next 8 blocks.

Sync is bugged, I think. Stops at "Processed 277 blocks", 16H ago. Restarted and now it's "Processed 277 blocks", 17H ago. I did start mining, but how am I supposed to know if I receive any coins? I'm CPU mining.
The issue may be with block 277 itself- we're still looking into it. The wallet lets you know when you've successfully mined a block.

thinking about taking a punt at this because why not, coins for fun ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) is there a link to github that i missed? I see there's a linux bin but i usually (& prefer to) compile my own if not i'll use the bin Currently all our links are to mediafire hosting, but you're correct- we should have some to github. I'll correct that today. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) using the binary, just waiting on sync 4 connections but currently stuck at block 277 15 hours ago, i'll leave it for a bit after a restart I'm seeing the same thing. Yes it's been 3 hours now and I still haven't synced myself. People are mining so quickly as the difficulty is so low, that it's taking a long time to catch up. Surprisingly, the server is handling it well.

Do you also do block explorer hosting?
