21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are all altcoins dependent on Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2021, 12:50:46 PM
Bitcoin marketcap reaches more than 35% of cryptocurrencies, although it continues to decline but almost all bitcoin pairs are popular, support from many big companies to enter the stock exchange proves that bitcoin is the strongest so altcoins prices are affected by bitcoin.
Yes, it's true, this proves that Bitcoin has always been favored by many people who already know and understand cryptocurrency because without a good movement in Bitcoin, Altcoins will be very difficult to move normally.

It has nothing to do with favored. Bitcoin was the first mover coin and always had a significant share of the overall market capitalization in cryptocurrencies. In fact in relative terms that share decreased over time although it recovered quite a bit lately.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are all altcoins dependent on Bitcoin? on: June 20, 2021, 11:53:39 PM
With the market connection, yes, majority of the altcoins are dependent to bitcoin. As you can see, when bitcoin has pumped, most of the altcoins pumped.
And when bitcoin drops significantly, the alts did the same.
Yes most of cryptocurrencies depend on King Crypto Bitcoin. When bitcoin price starting to improve then simultaneously most of the altcoins also starting to improve.
Not always, during this bull run there was a time in which the price of bitcoin went up and altcoins did not move much and then we saw the opposite and bitcoin did not moved much and altcoins kept growing, however I think that once the market begins to recover it will do so all at the same time, however I really think that most of the growth this time around is going to be concentrated in bitcoin as people will be excited about the new fundamental news that came from bitcoin like the activation of taproot and that a country finally made bitcoin legal tender.

But in total I would say that all coins follow Bitcoin especially when the movements are strong either in the negative or in the positive direction. When the market is more calm and Bitcoin doesn't move as fast up or down there is less correlation between Bitcoin and the rest. During crashes it was the same every single time that all coins followed suit with Bitcoin. We have been hoping for a little bit of disentangling for quite a while, but if you think about it it also makes sense. If there is bad news on the horizon that affects Bitcoin it is most probably also going to affect all other coins.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc down trend are started ? on: June 20, 2021, 11:49:56 PM
It started before you even knew it. The bear market has started, but that won't make the price of bitcoin fall very deeply. so far bitcoin's resistance point is at 30k, and it's been a few weeks it's still holding up. this proves that bitcoin is still quite strong. maybe this situation will last a long time. bitcoin will go up and down between 30k to 40k.
So far resistance point is around $30k and in case of going below this point, $25k can play the support line role. Unless something bad happens, the market is not going down below $34k and the chances are higher for the upper side direction of the trend compared to the downtrend. I will go for altcoins instead of trading flat market BTC prices.

The resistance above $30k has been holding strong for quite a while now, but even if that breaks I cannot think of Bitcoin going below $25k. I think buying pressure would come up so hard with all the retail investors having the all time high in mind. Even institutions who got in this year are probably going to stock up at that price as they have a whole different perspective on return on investment. If they see the opportunity for 30 - 50% plus within one year, that is phenomenal for them. If it drops below $25k I'll stop with my predictions...
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a bad time for altcoins? on: June 20, 2021, 11:45:22 PM
why do you think like that? I think it's just a trend. After all they will return to the old proven coins. maybe by following the meme coin they can get profit faster.

this is a very dangerous time to invest in altcoins, take a good look at what is happening with the price of altcoins versus bitcoin. for example see the litecoin chart of the last days:

the price of altcoins compared to bitcoin is falling every day, it shows that people are taking money from altcoins to protect themselves from eventual disaster or are selling to buy bitcoin, anyway it's not a good idea to buy altcoins in this scenario

I hold alts and believe they will back regarding prices.

the question is: when?

it may take many years for prices to come back

But as Bitcoin also seems to be insecure it might be that investors are gradually leaving the space temporarily. Most investors may have to exchange their coins for Bitcoins first in order to then being able to cash out at their local exchange. Interesting graph though, thanks for sharing.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stable coins take control of Bitcoin as crypto adoption in the future? on: June 20, 2021, 11:43:33 PM
I think a lot of people still don't understand the reasons why so many people enter this cryptcurrency market. When someone enters the cryptocurrency market these people are aiming to make 10X profits, this objective of 10X return is only possible by investing in bitcoin and altcoins,  stablecoins  do not serve as investments, they only serve as a means to trade on exchanges, That's why I don't see any  stablecoins  controlling bitcoin, it's not possible that this will happen in the future. But we have to admit that  stablecoins are a problem because I think in the future governments will regulate  stablecoins

I wouldn't even bother explaining that if I were you. If somebody comes to me and asks me whether he should invest in a stable coin to make big profits, I'll just leave without saying a word, fingers crossed! I have read that a couple of times here on the forum, some guys asking whether they should invest in stable coins. Jesus what is wrong with them?
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy Dogecoin run 100x in 2 years on: June 20, 2021, 11:41:26 PM
Did anyone else miss out on the Dogecoin run?
This is up 100x over a year or two, and it is still going higher.
Wow.
$40 Billion marketcap now, how high can this go?

I missed out completely and I will confess I didn't expect that in the slightest. I ask myself if this was mostly Elon, but then DOGE was already quite big when he showed up. Not that big of course, but relatively big for a meme coin and I thought that that on its own was already quite the achievement. Now what can you say seeing DOGE peaking at over $0.60? This is crazy.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT hype is over, next hype please on: June 19, 2021, 10:50:46 PM
That was a pretty short hype, but you can state that the NFT hype is over. This can be measured most clearly by the prices for NFT projects and NFT tokens. If you take Chilliz, for example, the price has collapsed by 75% from the high. In comparison, Bitcoin is currently valued around 45% lower from its high.

NFT hype is over, what do you think will be the next hype to prepare for?

Didn't Bitcoin collapse a couple of times because nobody really knew how it is going forward? I am quite sure we haven't even scratched the surface for NFTs at this point in time as much as we haven't scratched the surface of Bitcoin in 2015.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stable coins take control of Bitcoin as crypto adoption in the future? on: June 19, 2021, 10:49:26 PM
A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency that is backed, added, or backed by an underlying asset. low volatility with stablecoins being the main benefit to continue to attract both individual and institutional interest. Exchange rate stability is useful for both holders and those trying to integrate Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies into the wider financial system.

What do you mean by adoption? That cryptocurrency finds its way into society as a standard method of payment? If yes, that can happen several ways. You can have real time conversion processes in the backend of a payment app (exists for very long already) or you could indeed use stable coins. The advantage with stable coins is that you have less legal issues involved opposed to using volatile cryptos that bring you profits and losses between purchasing the crypto and the moment you use that crypto to purchase something else.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a bad time for altcoins? on: June 19, 2021, 10:39:55 PM
Why do I see legit coins with real utility and transparent, excellent devs not doing well but shitty meme coins just flying?

That's a lot about the lobby behind it and thee deep pockets behind meme coins. If there is enough money involved to get a serious pump going, you will attract a lot of interests from purely speculative investors. To many people it seems to be more fun to ride waves rather than being part of a serious project.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc down trend are started ? on: June 19, 2021, 10:38:09 PM
Haven't we've seen bitcoin goes down trend for so many times and it hasn't recovered yet that we've been to the ATH. I think it's a good choice that you're looking to bitcoin if it's starting to go down because you'll have the opportunity to have it while it's going down and its price is cheap.
Whether you like it or not, if we see bitcoin goes down, it shall return and recover later on and that's why don't be scared if you happen to see bitcoin corrects again.

What do you define as a trend? A short time span of a week or a month? I think Bitcoin is still incredibly well on track to grow further. What we've seen this year so far was remarkable.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polygon (MATIC) vs Ethereum on: June 19, 2021, 10:37:01 PM
Is Polygon (MATIC) better than Ethereum?
Although many people move to Matic, it doesn't mean that Matic is better than Ethereum. I am sure that because of the lower fee, many people choose this and how they see the fundamentals of that coin itself. However, recently, Etherum platform also has decreasing fee, so that it may be mean that Eth will be back to its good condition  Smiley

Do you think Polygon has a chance of overcoming Ethereum in the future?
And of course, many people will also say so, like what happens to previously such as DOT, NEO, EOS, and others, said that they are better than ETH, will replace Ethereum, but in fact, they still can't. Not know if in the future.

For me that is a natural process for now. People move to Binance Smart Chain and Matic because it is cheaper to interact with the network. There is nothing weird about it. Those networks currently offer the most favorable conditions from a user perspective and the user is what counts. Think about the mobile phone sector back when Apple had its debut. People just saw that the phone's usability is better than the usability of any other phone. Ethereum needs to improve quickly.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is best time buying SHIB token or not on: June 05, 2021, 12:02:21 PM
I really don't recommend buying Shiba, somehow I hate coins that don't have good fundamentals,
because without fundamentals of course tokens can become scammers in the future, my advice is don't buy Shiba for the long term,
buy Shiba to trade daily only.
Even Binance listed this project, I still don’t see its real purpose so i’m not buying as well. Maybe Shiba is indeed like DOGE, that will rise eventually so if you’re a long term player the risk is yours to decide and looking on its price right now, its pretty cheap already and the hype is still there for SHIBA.
If that be going to happen and was listed to Binance, it means that this project is worth buying and really has market potential. But just like you, I don't have such an interest in buying this coin, I'd wait for a while to see if that really has a demand and market volume as a basis of my investment. If I haven't seen that thing, I surely ignore that coin.

But in fairness, SHIB is hot in the market and has been talked about by many investors...

If it is listed on Binance it might be worth buying because of the pump that is most likely going to happen. That's it. Binance doesn't do due diligence on the projects from the perspective of an investor. They just try to make sure it is no scam and no absolute crap which could damage their reputation.

So don't fall for that and think that if it is on Binance it must be a project that has a promising future. By no means is that the case. That's up to every single individual to decide for themselves.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 90% chances if a coin is listed in Binance it has a good potential on: June 05, 2021, 11:59:15 AM
Cryptocurrency users have a tendency of going by the ongoing trends and FOMO. Remember what happened in 2014. Everyone were ignoring exchanges other than MtGox, simply because Gox was the largest exchange. And then what happened? The exchange closed down and the users are yet to receive any reimbursement for their losses. And what happened in 2017-18? A lot of people rushed to invest in the ICOs. The ICO market collapsed, and once again the investors lost their money. Now everyone is going after DeFi and Doge. I am sure that the same will happen this time as well. In case of Binance, I don't want to say too much... just remember what happened to Mt Gox.

Binance has already been hack and see where they stand right now, Strong and formidable. Its all about management and the person who ran the platform. One thing is for sure, binance will survive and can survive if ever there's another hacking incident.

They indeed handled their hacking incident very smartly and thoroughly in regards to transparency and also in regards to reimbursements for affected customers. They were in the favorable position of sitting on a huge pile of cash. If an exchange doesn't have as much money as Binance and gets hacked it is game over for sure.

That is why they are the titans in the business. Everybody knows they can handle problems very well and safely in the best interest of their customers.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon tweet again that he is supporting Crypto against Fiat on: June 05, 2021, 11:56:18 AM
He continues to be an inconsistent person about this market. He tweets negatively about it first, then he changes his mind again. He does this all the time. Mostly short term investors are angry with him I think.

Inconsistent could be a fake interpretation of what he calls strategic. You can't look into his head, nobody knows what he is planning, but what he is known for is that he is a good strategist. He also has his own agenda with the SEC. He likes to be on confrontation with them a lot.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Erc20 tokens send fee on: June 05, 2021, 10:10:39 AM
If you are not in a hurry, then you can set gwei yourself and wait.  I did so, then went in and saw that the coins had gone where I needed. Miners process expensive transactions first.

You should still stay more or less in line with acceptable minimum fees. What you can do is check the fee throughout the day. There is quite a high viability depending on the daytime. I'd pay at least a little bit more than the minimum at the best time of the day. Otherwise it will just remain pending.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't we have too many smart contract platforms already? on: June 05, 2021, 10:08:38 AM
Each platform have different purposes and that is why you have mentioned that. Some of it are made for gambling purposes like to use as one of the payment in their gambling platform. Some are creating for scam purposes and made some people think that it may come close to ETH like the other tokens or coins.

other smart contracts will not be able to compete with Ethereum, even Binance Smart Chain (BSC) is still not able to approach the Ethereum Platform, we know now on the BSC platform there are a lot of scam tokens and a lot of tokens or coins that have no clear direction and innovation on the BSC platform.

Those new platforms usually aren't launched with the serious intention to beat the established ones. The goal is to make a very quick buck on the reputation that has been built by legitimate projects. You see the same currently happening for all those decentralized exchanges that are announced left right and center. I don't even know how many DEX there are right now, but certainly a very high two figure number. For what?
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: June 05, 2021, 10:06:17 AM
Nope, gold is well established as a currency and more importantly is the financial strength of a country depends on its gold reserves. I am never heard of a country whose  financial resources depend on cryptocurrency reserves.
I admit that some cryptocurrencies now have a higher market value than gold, but i don't think this proves anything. The price of cryptocurrencies has changed too much, and their recognition is far less than gold's in people's minds.

Cheesy It almost broke my brain to read your comment. Countries rely on their gold reserves, interesting. And gold is used as a currency, also interesting. If you have any book recommendations for me, I would be more than happy to receive them as quickly as possible. It is always good to broaden your own horizon and I must admit I have never heard about the stuff you are talking about.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency irl on: June 04, 2021, 08:16:29 PM
We won't get around fully decentralized stable coin solutions if we want a decentralized financial system that at the same time has value stability or no volatility. For the transition it is important. Right now it is cumbersome to exchange crypto among each other for a lot of reasons. Fees maybe one reason but also tax implications or just the prospects of increasing value that make us hold the coin rather than give it away in every day situations.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Want Tesla To Accept Doge? on: June 04, 2021, 08:05:49 PM
Yes, actually you have to think first every time there is positive or negative news because Elon is a rich person who can produce whatever he wants, maybe he influences everyone so that he can get more benefits and advantages.
That's clear because basically everyone only thinks about profit for themselves not for others, so whatever Elon Musk does is purely his own personal desire not from someone else's idea.

I would rather ask why should he not accept Dogecoin at some point in time in the future? What counts for a business is liquidity and that's it. They won't hold the Dogecoin, they will convert it right away and in order to be able to do that without price slippage you need tremendous liquidity. An even better move would be to buy a huge load of Dogecoin as Tesla the company and then announce they accept Dogecoin.
