Why do I see legit coins with real utility and transparent, excellent devs not doing well but shitty meme coins just flying?

Well the market is totally dumping and the market is trying hard to keep up the pace to get on top but it's still failing on doing that, Whenever there is a dump on bitcoin price all the alts suffer so It is up to you when to make out.

For the memes coin, they just do too much hype too much shilling that they attract people who want quick profits.

I do not agree that we are dropping constantly, remember we went to 30k and ever since that moment we haven't went down anymore and we try to crack over 40k and yes we do fail and go back down to 35k levels but at least we do try that and that is a very good thing, being able to even try for higher and higher prices is very important and a great aspect of crypto prices, because when it is trying that means it will eventually succeed, rarely we see it try to go up and fail to do so, when it goes down it just straight up goes down, it is not going down because it fails to go up, it goes down because people want to sell, so when it tries to go up that means people are trying to go up.

This is why I think we are in a great situation and not crashing or anything like that, we WERE in a bear market but we are no longer there anymore and doing fine.

We are not doing fine we are in a place where we cannot even now predict where are we gonna end now. For now I am just getting my assets out and leave some of them in BNB and ETH etc which i think will do great in long run and they will be fine.

You have to agree that alts are proportional to BTC.

this is not bad time for altcoins, but bad time for stable coins, I feel sad for people who are afraid to buy altcoins now,
because fear makes you delay profits a lot in the future, don't save your money in stable coins, save in altcoins now,
choose good altcoin in the top 100 or top 200 coinmarketcap and you will be safe.

Safe? I am afraid i don't think so. I have three different kinds of altcoins and UDST in my wallet, the value of altcoin decreasing day by day, in the meantime, the value of the USDT has remained constant. Anyway, this is a bad time for altcoin definitely.

Selling all altcoins at this point is not a smart idea unless you have liquidated at least half of your portfolio before the downtrend. Now it is time to wait and chase the bull season by adding the value altcoins to the portfolio, there is nothing safe in the crypto trading world. Stablecoins is not going to give an ROI, so try your chance before it is not late.

I remember 2018 how all alt coins died a very slow death. Every single day passing by just another few percentage points in the red. Every time I thought dang, I should have sold yesterday but I held them tight. Most of them never recovered. That was one of my bigger mistakes back then. Today I take profit much quicker at least when we are talking about alt coins.

This is not the project, it's just because the community is so big. They can really bring their coins to the attention of many people outside the community. So this meme coin has been hype for some time, it won't last long.

I agree with you, after some people in the community have gotten profit they expected, then of course they will sell it and make the price go down, so I'm sure when the price goes down it will be difficult to increase again, because the community will decrease over time, therefore never hold meme coin for long term.

its leaved by speculative investors , they only support for sort term to gain profits and when it reached than leave it. in meme project mostly has no truely supporter, except doge coins that could standing for long term. when price drop hardly and investors rekted, new buyer will be affraid if they fell the same with previous investors.

Apparently, there are still a lot of legit coins in the market, those old coins are an example. But if you are looking for new projects, that gonna be a problem, some of them look promising but we can assure you that it could last long as many projects good at first but later on, they just die. Only the safest way when we invest altcoins is through those who have been proven already. The top 20 are meant good for investment, it is risky for investing in new projects.

Depends on how strong the community and the team of the project.
If the token has a smart team and strong community, there will be always a chance for the token to be pumped again. For example Dogecoin, there are already many times of the pump happened on this coin. Although it is a meme coin, it can show us amazing moves during the current bullish season because it is supported by Elon Musk and strong community.

this is a very dangerous time to invest in altcoins, take a good look at what is happening with the price of altcoins versus bitcoin. for example see the litecoin chart of the last days:

I also agree, there has never been in history that meme coins were able to last in the long term, they were able to grow but only briefly. It's better to invest in other coins because the risk of holding meme coins is too big in the long run

Memecoins can give good returns in the future. But that will happen only if the developers and the promoters take the necessary steps to increase their adoption and acceptability. And from what I have seen, the developer teams in many of these coins are inexistent. All they do is to plagiarize existing projects. Once the coin is listed in some of the obscure exchanges, the development comes to a halt. There will be no support from them, even if some major bug or security flaw is discovered later.

You have to keep in mind that most of the meme coins currently circulating in the market right now have a high-risk rating and certainly won't last long.

Just stick to those well-established and stable coins. The likes of ETH, ADA, LTC, BNB are excellent choices.

Personally I have several altcoins and the prices are currently going down, that's sad but I'm sure that the prices will rise again when the market stabilizes later. if I see the market price has not stabilized so this is not the right time to sell coins. can't say that right now is a bad time for alts because there are some alts that are still stable in price and these price drops are also common. we must be patient and refrain from selling at a cheap price. avoid the panic selling because it will make us get the losses.

Those coins are just carried out by the hype of influential people, so lots of investors are deciding to buy it instead of coins with better potential, but their hype wouldn't last since they don't have real function. As for me, it's still better to stick with potential coins rather than putting our trust in coins that are just carried by the hype and being manipulated by huge names.
