It might be a good idea to stop trading for a while and spend some time learning fundamentals.

People in trading channels won't likely be able to help you make your money back, unfortunately. Following the crowd without knowing why is almost surely a way to lose more money.
22  Other / Meta / Re: How to combat the surge in scam ICOs on: August 26, 2017, 01:27:28 PM
It's a good idea, and reducing scams is obviously a good thing, I'm just not sure how well it would work in practice. The admins would have to have the infrastructure set up to offer specific vetting services that would have to be the same for all projects in the interest of fairness. And what happens when a legitimate project falls through the cracks and is somehow labelled a scam when it's not? Or, even worse, a scam project is vetted as legit by the admins and people end up losing their funds?

I just don't think the admins here would be willing to take on that kind of risk/hassle.

In the vast majority of cases it won't change as described above.

In the case of ERC20 token sales you often get back your tokens immediately upon sending your ETH (they are usually locked until the end of the ICO but you have them in your own wallet).

Individual cryptocurrencies will come and go. Some will succeed and reach heights than are difficult to imagine. Many will fail and be forgotten.

But blockchain, the technology behind them all, has an extremely bright fututre. I see it running the backend of much of the world's financial and supply chain ecosystems within a decade.

If you don't use a wallet that supports Opt-in RBF, I believe you're limited to accelerators like ViaBTC or using child-pays-for-parent.

Looks like BTC.com has an accelerator as well https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1816647.0
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help needed - establishment of nominal price of a token on: August 25, 2017, 07:45:45 AM

Tokens will be representing the value of a loyalty network. That is why, because of talks with the merchants I didn't want them to be at small nominal value, but maybe people will feel safer with lower nominal values.

Why can't the tokens be worth a smaller amount and have the end user spend multiples (i.e. spending forty $1 tokens vs one $40 token)?

I just want to know How does one bitcoin?

I've never heard of "bitcoin" as a verb before, but I guess it was bound to happen...

One "bitcoins" when they send or receive bitcoin.  Smiley

Last time I bitcoined was on 7/7.

Technically, one could also be said to be 'bitcoining' when they are mining.

So how long does it typically take to get to Jr. Member? I understand the difference now thanks for all the help on that. Smiley

It should take a minimum of 5 weeks to reach Jr. Member status if I'm understanding correctly.

Each two week period allows a maximum of 14 activity, so a month gets you to 28 and then I'm assuming the other 2 points can be gained during the following week.

Why is it important to get Sr rank?

it's green light for bounties, posting ANN and another potential profitable activity.

You can't post an ANN thread without being Sr?

You should know that he can't make images appear yet because of his rank.

What rank is required for embedding images?

You have to be at least Jr.Member

Ahh okay, thanks! Guess I have some posting to do  Grin
