Price predictions anyone?

Graslo had a quite nice prediction, but it is old now. Think it was about 90? But could be changed as it was based on ta if I remember correctly. And we hit a bad bear after.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | EDO |EIDOO Wallet - Hybrid Exchange - Marketplace| OVER 80k ETH RAISED | on: August 21, 2018, 07:32:19 AM
https://blog.eidoo.io/eidoo-destroy-edo-tokens/

This is big news which is helping the project to get recover now it is into very good streak and price is going up. This is undervalued project I hope with this kind of news it will get more better position and we will see price will be on good level.
They're doing similar thing like Binance did with BNB, burning tokens! BNB price has risen so much over time, EDO price will increase a lot if it gets used widely.

Binance top 1 exchange right now. They was launched in last year, when we almost dont have good exchanges. Thats why BNB tokens so expensive.

Binance can't really be compared with a brand new exchange. It is like all the small projects comparing themself with bitcoin :p
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Article "Stable coins: Pointless or the Path to Mainstream" on: August 21, 2018, 07:21:23 AM
With the current volatility, which is also likely to be present in the foreseeable future, stablecoins are what can make crypto mainstream. As a store owner, accepting btc or other payment coins involves alot of risk. However a good and audited stablecoin like globcoin (soon to be released) the store owners can be sure that they actually will be able to pay for their expenses after receiving payment.

Are there still no news if and when AMD cards will be ready to mine the Phi2 algo?
You can mine PHI2 with fancyIX's AMD miner https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases
I think thats the only available miner for mining PHI2 with AMD cards for now.
Which intensity should I use for my rigs (AMD 570 4 GB graphic cards)?
Thanks for your coming recommendations on mining LUX with AMD cards.

It is so new so probably not many miners yet with amd cards. Discord is the pace to ask as Lupanar said Smiley What hash rate are you getting btw?

New lesson of #Luxcoreacademy series about LuxGate is out!

More weekly lessons ahead, stay turned  Wink

Great shirt summary of luxgate. It is a hard one to understand, but very important for LUX!
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin—New PHI2 PoW/PoS Hybrid—SC—SegWit—PrivateSend—PoS Web Wallet—LuxGate on: August 16, 2018, 12:34:23 PM
Yep. Guess sooner or later ASICs/FPGAs will prevail in the end, but for now we are good and hope status quo will keep standing.

Yes I guess it is just a question of time before fpga becomes to gpu what gpu became for cpu. But thankfully the devs are still working on keeping gpu and spread the hash. With more miners going for fpga the need for gpu mining would disappear though.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🚀 Countinghouse - Forex Hedge Fund 🚀 on: August 14, 2018, 06:58:44 AM
The token type is security, as unit holdings in the fund. The tokens are the equivalent of fund units, the number of tokens you hold are equal to the number of units (or you might like to call them fractions) of the fund you own. These units/token are bearer unit holdings, what this means is, simply, that if you hold them (have them in your wallet) you own them.
Countinghouse would offer a buy back to try to shrink the fund without reducing the token value. An investor might want to take their growth each month or quarter. They could do this but the number of tokens they hold would drop as they liquidated their profits.

What is the minimum investment sum and is it any whitelist and KYC procedures?

As they said you can buy and sell on exchanges. Price is under liquid so you do get instant profit.
The new buyback policy (fund buying tokens from holders that request it for liquid value) will be announced on friday Smiley

To use buyback you need to do KYC. But exchange prices should be with a premium when people discover this token doing over 30% in profit the last 8 weeks while rest of crypto have been bleeding.

30  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: August 13, 2018, 08:52:59 AM
He made the post in January, so i skipped to last pages to see if he sold or went down with the crash since then.
But page after page with people replying like he wrote the post recently lol. Suggestions on what to do and holding. If he held he is down about 80% ish?..
31  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: August 13, 2018, 08:40:04 AM
Yes I agree with you. merit system surly helps to maintain the quality of this forum. Before every one could say anything but still he could up ranked, now you can't do it here. you have to make quality posts for it. so eventually forum becomes a quality place . So merit system is good. It shouldn't be removed.

I really dont see any difference from before or after merit.
But at least it gives more trust to the higher ranks actually knowing what they are talking about over time.
When i see a post from a high rank member i still check his merit though, alot of them have not received any (or little) merit and are just holding the rank because they got in early.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 GLOBCOIN - Bringing Stablecoins to the Next Level on: August 13, 2018, 08:36:29 AM
During our extensive market research, we have come across some devastating facts. The majority of people that are dealing with cryptocurrencies, still has no clue what the concept of stablecoins is all about. That is why we have decided to start a public group StableCoins, whose sole purpose will be to educate the community about the potential and significance of stablecoins in general.

If you are interested in stablecoins, join the public group StableCoins, and help us spread the word - https://www.facebook.com/groups/208634679804038/

We strongly believe that stablecoins might be the key to mass adoption of cryptocurrencies!

One of the arguments used by the people against crypto as a currency is the volatility in it.
Stablecoin however should not experience that, and be a safer way for store owners to accept crypto payments.

Some small volatility between different stablecoins giving a marked like FOREX is how i see the future. And the projects trying to solve other problems will be more like stocks and have the bigger volatility.

Great review! I like how you are keeping us updated with news on the thread. Quite important especially in this marked with so much competition to get funding for the good projects Smiley

Thank you all for banning me from slack for telling that development is stopped and no more peoples cares about. Seems like truth..hurts. Good job, really.

The development hasn't stopped! We pulled a new devs on board working on the 0.16 core update right now and 1.7.2 will be released this week.

would be nice to see official win builds v1.7.2

We will release them this week, we are currently testing the final Mac builds.

Thank you all for banning me from slack for telling that development is stopped and no more peoples cares about. Seems like truth..hurts. Good job, really.

Wow, thank you for sharing. One of the biggest miners being banned for asking important questions?
A big red flag there!

jacko is everything but not a big miner sorry. I haven't banned him but he wasn't asking questions. He was just ranting around and didn't even listen to what we/the other members said.

Regards

Oh sorry i must be mixing people. Thought ha had a big mining farm and mined pretty much from the beginning without selling.
A supporter like that being banned for asking questions would be a red flag. But as always there is more to the story than what first meets the eye Smiley
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin—New PHI2 PoW/PoS Hybrid—SC—SegWit—PrivateSend—PoS Web Wallet—LuxGate on: August 13, 2018, 08:13:30 AM
soon it will be just rich man's coin.
OR when you say Lux, you mean luxury coin? if that is the case I am fine with that.

My understanding is that LUX is short for Luxury and this coin is intended to be for the very wealthy. The idea is that the wealthy will have lots of these coins and be able to afford all those Luxuries they want.

With the price right now bobbing just above $2, that may seem hard to believe but in future it could be worth several thousand dollars and a 16121 coin masternode will buy a lot of luxuries.

Best advice is to stock upon coins like this while the price is so low. You could get 100 for just over $200 and that little bag could be worth 10s or even 100s of thousands of dollars in a few years time - you will need to be patient. It may seem impossible that the price will ever get really high, but that is the exact same feeling that I had with Bitcoin when it was $30.

The comparison to Bitcoin is not worth much. Alot of trash projects state bitcoin was worth xx and now is worth xxxxxxx.
What you should focus on is the promising technology they actually have to offer, which can lead to a massive boost in the price. But that depends on people starting to use the technology and the development going forward as planned.

I've added 5% BONUS PER BLOCK on https://lux.suprnova.cc additionally to the 0% Fee the pool is running on.

Payout type is PPLNS

Good incentive to start using supernova. Was going to change but still a little low on hash but we will move our riggs soon Smiley
