21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 14, 2017, 09:02:00 AM
You're saying Jihan and the many big blockers aren't actual bitcoiners? Sounds like an emotional thing to say. And to answer your question, maybe it won't be centralized, but it definitely won't be bitcoin with minority hash power. Don't fall for the lies. We will soon have a superior bitcoin with large blocks and we may also have a Core/Segwit altcoin. Ignore false narratives that try and flip this.

Jihan might be a bitoiner but he is also the CEO of a mining cartel. I rather have cypher punks as users than Jihan and pals.
I'm not a UASF supporter but saying that only because it has minority hash power it's not Bitcoin is so wrong on so many levels.
You think hash power is the only thing that makes "Bitcoin" Bitcoin?

22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 14, 2017, 08:35:35 AM
Only centralized shitcoin will be Cores UASF who has a very minority support.

And how would a UASF chain mined by ACTUAL bitcoin users be centralized?
A Jihancoin will be mined by Bitmain only. How is that decentralized?
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 14, 2017, 08:28:17 AM
It will not be an alt, it will be bitcoin. Only alt might be uasf chain. Don't believe the people that will tell you to sell off your non uasf chain tokens either. You will regret it for life.

Finally the removal of toxic Core/Blockstreamer influence and on to making bitcoin great again! Very bullish news!

Why would you support a centralized shitcoin? That makes no sense to me.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain announces plan to create altcoin if BIP148 succeeds on: June 14, 2017, 07:53:52 AM
If BIP148 doesn't succeed will they continue to mine legacy chain? (status quo chain)

I'm OK with both BIP148 & status quo TBH. But I would never support a contentious hard fork.

Let me do the math for you, is it okay?

Hey just asking to see if anyone even bothered with this...

Incase you are talking about making profit then you must have a big space not just 1 or 2 TBs , i tried burst before it's a good coin with good speculation the only difficult part of burst mining is the plotting part it's too slow you will need a good gpu or cpu to do it fast , but the good news is you do the plotting one time only then you mine using only the HDD ...
Sia isn't mined with hdd , but you can rent your free space through it.

Yeah, mining is probably not the right term when talking about the "rent out your storage coins". But just wondering what gives the best payout.

Unless you have free juice and hundreds or thousands of TB, last time I checked HDD mining really isn't profitable at all. There are some calculators online, for instance for burst:

http://burstcoin.biz/calculator

10TB will get you ~ 10'000 burst per month, which at current rates is something like 20$

Hey that doesn't seem too bad. I will have 12TB free for a month or two.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Highest paying HDD mining coin right now? on: April 22, 2017, 12:38:14 PM
I will have a few TB's unused in the coming months. What storage coin is worth looking into?

SIA or SJCX? Or maybe Burst?

27  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin PoW Upgrade Initiative on: March 19, 2017, 11:28:36 PM
What do you guys think of Bram Cohens Proof of Space/Proof of Time?
I agree with him that PoW is a waste of energy, however all the experts say everything else is a joke and won't work. (Proof of Stake etc...)
So I guess our only option is to use PoW to secure the blockchain. But then again I'm no expert so I don't know if Proof of Space/Proof of Time is feasible or not.

Here he is talking about it on Whale Pool: https://youtu.be/HZOD3ytZLWo?t=2395

Can someone please explain how the Iguana wallet works?
I am trying to send KMD but there is no send button what gives?

I am in basilisk mode and I can see my balance, but where the hell is the send button?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: February 10, 2017, 10:13:21 PM
which OS and Mode? It happened to me when I forgot to attach the internet cable  Cheesy   If you connection is ok and in Basilisk mode try to click on "basilisk action" -> "register address" and "validate address"

Ubuntu & basilisk.
Tried "basilisk action" -> "register address" and "validate address" still the same thing. Very weird.

I have the correct address on EasyDex after importing my private key.
But it says Total Balance: -

What gives?

Please ignore Sulfurtank, he's just troll rambling. The wallet will be released soon. You can even download and test it from github

Ah, I see. So when the wallet is released there will be a withdraw button on the swap page?
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: January 12, 2017, 03:07:10 PM
The swap has begun for KMD, so once you buy the BTCD, move them to the Komodo IC:   https://ico.komodoplatform.com/ or keep them in your own personal wallet:  http://bitcoindark.com/

But is there a wallet for KMD yet? There are only links to the BTCD wallet on bitcoindark.com. Or am I blind?  Embarrassed

Swap is the first priority here. Wallet being the second priority set for Komodo Commando this year. Thus means that only two changes to the environmental structure of Commando have ever been planned: 1 Burning the entire supply of BTCD for komodo. 2. Release of the wallet which is scheduled for december 2017.

That's not very good. December is almost a year away.
I rather store my KMD in my own wallet on my PC than a web wallet.

I posted a short video on YouTube of me clicking around the beta 1 GUI release. It's not any sort of comprehensive review, just an example to show people if they wanted to see the GUI in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S45yZMcvQvo

Maybe it's just me but the audio is kinda low.
37  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: November 03, 2016, 07:22:26 PM
Not even gonna bother placing bets if there's a risk my account gets frozen until I send in ID.
I'm going to keep using Nitrogen for now. Until you can confirm you won't ask for ID.

Is there a CUDA miner available for Linux?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] ZCASH - All coins are created equal. Discussion Thread (Unofficial) on: October 22, 2016, 08:57:09 AM
So how will the launch work?
Can I keep running the miners and they switch from testnet automatically?
Or do I need to recompile them?

So how in the hell do these people get so high hash rates?

Slut is working overtime on the streets?

Botnets?
