21  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Zentoshi- Shilling their own Ann thread on: November 03, 2019, 05:12:44 PM
I'm not going to argue with that as it's a fair assessment of the situation on my part in that it was to bump the thread to give it some visibility.

I could have easily asked the question on Discord so it didn't need to be posted on the ANN thread.

Getting the devs to answer you about the supply questions as I wouldn't want to give an incorrect answer so someone should be along shortly to answer your query.
I am not a dev just a team member helping them out with some things and answering questions where I can.

So you are a team member and you do not know what is the total supply? That information is the most important thing for any project. 2.500 000 is a huge premine, but let us discuss that after the information about the amount of TS will be published. Anyway, we are waiting for requested corrections regarding your website, ANN and the information about TS and premine. I hope that next week we will have some updates.
Regards
Alex

My time with Zentoshi has mostly been spent organising their Medium page and team members on socials as well as connecting them to other outlets like CMC, Blockfolio, Messari, etc. I do have figures but as I am not 100% on them I wouldn’t like to say incase they are inaccurate hence why I would like a dev to answer you that knows the correct answer so there is no confusion.

I see. OP saved some money and time. He did not changed anything in ANN. He just added all links at the end of the topic as a post. Ok. We have 2 500 000 coins as a premine.... Could I ask what is the total supply? because it is not mentioned in "Economic Specification" And one more question. Are you a developer or a team member? Because you are answering all questions instead of OP.

They stuck them at the bottom as a quick fix, a proper sheet is being created as is the team page on the website so will be updated once they are ready.

@jollygood

I'm sorry but you come in here all high and mighty making a huge post about all these huge "RED FLAGS" and claims. Most of them have now been resolved and those that haven't are being worked on.

They have said the T&C issue will be sorted and it will but it is the weekend (Sunday) and not everyone is readily available on call 24/7 for a matter that while you may find as hugely important, in the grand scheme of things it is not exactly priority number one and can wait until Monday.

As for my "condescending manner" and "misdirection" maybe it's because you came in here making a huge post with big "RED FLAGS" based on your professional assessment of the project, just stopping short of calling the entire project a scam. I personally have taken offence to that knowing the work that people have put into Zentoshi by actually talking to the team and working with them despite me only joining them 2 weeks ago.

So yeah I fully admit I am a bit pissed off with this thread turning into a shitshow as it undermines all the work that has been done to get Zentoshi ready for launch.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ZenX] Zentoshi - Cutting Edge Technology meets Business - Launches Nov. 7 on: November 03, 2019, 03:48:58 PM
I advised OP to update the thread with links to team members social media profiles provided by him.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5196479.msg52959117#msg52959117

But nothing was done. And one more question. What is the total supply of coins and how big is the premine?

The links for team members are all in the OP (at the bottom) as requested. I believe they are also being added to the website too once some other tasks are completed.

Coin Specs are in the OP and also in the post directly above yours.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ZenX] Zentoshi - Cutting Edge Technology meets Business - Launches Nov. 7 on: November 03, 2019, 03:01:25 PM
To be honest I think it’s very simple:

1 - Team page having mandatory social links is not something I have ever been aware of. I have worked for Stakenet for 2 years and I’m not even on the team page there as I have no desire to be in the spotlight and would prefer to be anon, which to be fair is one the the hallmarks of crypto. Certain team members don’t mind however and that’s there choice.

2 - As already stated that the BTT Ann thread was announced on all Zentoshi social channels as going live so of course community members will come and post to show support. I made 2 posts myself, 1 of which was a genuine question at the time however but still I could have easily asked on Discord I suppose.

3 - We are talking about T&C’s in the footer of the website, like seriously scraping the barrel with that one. They have said they will resolve it, it’s the weekend not everyone is at work as people will be spending time with their families and loved ones.

Frankly I find this entire “witch-hunt” for lack of a better term disgusting. I have only been with the team for 2 weeks but there are people that have been working on Zentoshi for well over a year to get it ready for launch. All funded by their own personal finances, there is no ICO or anything like that with which they have raised funds and you come in here with these accusations making huge posts to discredit everything they have worked on.

Sure I guess some mistakes where made with the ANN thread in regards to thread “bumping” rules but that’s like literally it and you are making this molehill into a mountain. They have stated the issues raised will be resolved so no problem.

It’s funny but all of this could have easily been resolved in 5 mins just by joining the Discord or something and talking with the team directly but guess it was “quicker” to make a huge post to try and discredit everything as a giant scam I guess.....
27  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Zentoshi- Shilling their own Ann thread on: November 03, 2019, 02:42:17 PM
They do not first read and adhere to the rules of this forum when creating a thread
Nope, they don't.  I suspect most of these garbage ICOs don't read or even care that there are rules here.  And frankly it amazes me that these scams (assuming this is one) are still being perpetrated.  That means they have to still be profitable, which means people are still buying these coins, investing money in the projects, and helping them to advertise.  Unbelievable.

I would never trust a project. It displays all character of fraud and scam.
Yep.  ANN bumping is a fairly old practice, and it could be that the project is just being dishonestly aggressive in marketing it--but I doubt it.  My guess is that it is indeed a scam, though I could be completely wrong and I'm not accusing this project of scamming.  That isn't a hard guess, because over 9/10ths of them seem to be, or are proven to be in the end.  Bumping ANN threads incessantly isn't OK though.

You clearly know nothing about Zentoshi as it’s not even an ICO so.......

29  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Zentoshi- Shilling their own Ann thread on: November 03, 2019, 01:36:18 PM
Hello,

I'm not a "shilling" service. I work for Stakenet and have done for nearly 2 years now.

I was contacted by Zentoshi to help them with their marketing. After talking with the team and checking everything out I agreed to help them as long as it didn't distract from my work with Stakenet as I was interested in their work on game services.

I helped them setup their Medium page, get their social channels organised, setup a social media promo for Twitter, Facebook and Medium.

When they launched their ANN thread I did indeed make 2 posts on it to give it a bump up to help give it some visibility. Sorry if this is such a huge no no on here. To be fair in regards to the testnet question I actually didn't know at the time so while I could have just asked in the Discord I posted here as I was looking through BTT at the time anyway when I thought about it.

So there you go I made 2 posts, one of which was actually a genuine question at the time, I am the devil lol

What's the actual accusation here? OP just feels... salty.

Calling me a shilling service I guess. First they got the hump on because Zentoshi didn't disclose links to team members social media profiles like LinkedIn, so they did disclose them and now they got hump on about this instead.

Oh yeah for sure, out of all the Masternode projects out there how many actually do something? Not many for sure, so it’s understandable that “Masternodes” has got a bad name within the community.

We have a huge network of MN’s which are essentially computers all over the world in a huge decentralised network. It blows our minds that nobody has capitalised on this yet as there is so much you can do with them. Our plans are to use them to host services and dApps on our platform. Of course there needs to be incentive to run these services so we have a two stage approach to that.

First our block rewards are split 45% to Masternodes, 45% to Staking and 10% to treasury for development.

In addition to block rewards Masternodes also can gain additional revenue by collecting fees from services their MN runs on the network. A great example of this will be our upcoming Lightning DEX where all trading fees generated go back to the Masternodes hosting it.

By the way if you want to join the beta and see our new Multi-Currency Wallet in action and test the DEX head on over to the Discord and ask a team member to be added to the beta.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: T-POS Trustless Proof of Stake on: November 02, 2019, 11:53:09 AM
If for example you are running a Masternode on a VPS or something then you can also use that same VPS to run a Merchant Node for the TPoS too.

So merchant node does not necessarily means masternode ?

No a merchant node is a TPoS node essentially that’s run by a 3rd party that will provide a machine to validate the network in your place. It is essentially a Staking node that’s not holding any actual coins. Instead the network knows it is staking x weight of coins on behalf of someone else because of the TPoS contract.

Masternodes for Stakenet run services and collect fees from those services. For example they store and maintain all the various Blockchains for the Multicurrency wallet, run Lightning nodes and route lightning swaps and transactions, provide watchtower services, route privacy features through TOR and host our Lightning DEX.

As I said earlier we are working on making TPoS contracts available as a service to Masternode owners for further additional income and ease of setup with a simple 1 click and forget approach which will auto assign your contract to a MN for hosting. We are currently looking at using a flat commission for this at say 10% of the block reward won. This leaves the door open for TPoS merchants to still run dedicated Merchant Nodes that can come in under 10% for bigger contracts.

There is a guide here for how to setup a Merchant Node:

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: T-POS Trustless Proof of Stake on: November 02, 2019, 11:37:24 AM
Ok so how TPoS works in basic terms is you get your coin and put them in your wallet. You can then either leave the wallet running 24/7 and stake normally or you can use TPoS. If you run TPoS then a different machine will take your place in securing/validating the network and you can close your wallet and keep your coins offline.

Now this merchant node you can setup yourself if you wish OR you can hire someone to run one for you.

If for example you are running a Masternode on a VPS or something then you can also use that same VPS to run a Merchant Node for the TPoS too. So in your wallet with your coins in you essentially tell the network this machine over here is staking on behalf of my coins. The machine doing the actual staking has zero access to your coins so there is no risk at all as the coins never leave your offline wallet.

When you set it up you also set a % commission for the merchant node so for example you can set it at 10%. When a block reward is won it is automatically split so in this case 90% goes to your offline wallet and the 10% goes to the merchant node.

For more info just ask or check out this article on Staking with Stakenet:

https://link.medium.com/jvgTVIzPh1

Also one here for their Masternodes and what they do in regards to running services:

Finally there is a great video that was put out yesterday which explains what Stakenet is doing and the overall vision so highly recommend you check it out:

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: T-POS Trustless Proof of Stake on: November 01, 2019, 09:44:21 PM
Thanks a lot. So I need to set up a contract before going offline ?

Correct, but you also need to find Merchant node to run the contract or running the Merchant node by yourself in order to get the reward for your offline wallet.
You can read this article for detailed information about T-POS: https://medium.com/stakenet/trustless-proof-of-stake-tpos-wallet-staking-and-pooled-staking-c57245eb9640

That’s true for now but we are working on offloading the TPoS contracts to our Masternode layer as an additional service for them to run. When this happens it means that TPoS will be a 1 click solution, just hit the button to start TPoS and your contract will auto assign to an available MN.

It’s also worth noting that you can be your own TPoS merchant if you want. So you have your coins in 1 wallet, set a different wallet up as the merchant node to run your contract and provide the network security in your place while you keep your actual coins offline or in a hardware wallet.

When can you start mining this and what do I need? Will it be Nov 7th or is there a different date?

We will start publicly mining our chain on Nov 7th. However, we will have a testnet available in the coming days where you can mine coins and use them when the mainnet comes on.

How can I get on the testnet, is there a link somewhere with more details?

oh hmm seems like they gonna need more money and therefore time. and the transparency and communication seems to have been that good, that jim (jstarhead) left. cool. very. and lovely how 2% become 7 mill (you know about 7%, but whatevers) in that proposal. you really sure i am the one responsible for - at least - uncertainty?

It is a Budget Proposal - An idea which has been circulated to the community to get feedback and voted on. So far most people like the idea, you apparently do not and that absolutely fine you are entitled to your opinion and can place your vote accordingly. The purpose of it is to bolster the treasury to ensure we can weather anything that comes our way. We are coming to the end of placing the building blocks for everything that will be built on our platform. During that phase it was necessary to have a solid core team to put those foundations in place. We have our team building the DEX but the DEX is just one dApp and it will need constant maintenance and upgrades as technology advances. This proposal will ensure that we can expand the development team to start building other dApps that will run within our ecosystem without spreading the core team too thin.

The circulating supply would increase roughly 2% (2M XSN) which would be distributed (IF NEEDED) over the course of many, many months. A lump sum of 5M would be added to the treasury just as the current 4.5M is and is there purely for emergencies. It is not added to the circulating supply just as the current 4.5M isn't and is voted in if needed.

If things start picking up then we always have the option to burn these funds which would be great for publicity.

Why now? Well because we are about to start our next phase with DEX and Wallet release and heavy marketing activities so we wanted to get this out of the way before starting those as we knew there would be some negativity surrounding the proposal so best to get it out of the way now than do it later when we are in the midst of other activities.

Again and I can't stress this enough it is a PROPOSAL which will help us massively IF we need it in order to compete with the big boys. We aren't messing about when it comes to the DEX, we have tech that nobody else in the world currently has and have a chance to leapfrog our competitors by hitting the ground running and we want to ensure that we have emergency funds available IF we need them because we don't want anything to slow the pace once we start rolling.

As for Jstar I don't know the details specifically about what is going on so won't comment to much apart from to say his leaving (if he has) has zero impact on development. He has never written any code for XSN, as far as I know he was a technical writer/advisor. Not to diminish anything he did as he was a great guy and was instrumental in putting together the WP and other technical documents we have shared.
