When is Android alpha wallet testing over? Can I imput  my QT wallet key into it ? I hope I can use APP wallet earlier. Merry Christmas!

There will be no direct compatibility as it is difficult to maintain an HD wallet concurrently with a QT based wallet. It is easy, however, to transfer the contents from a QT wallet to the HD wallet for the small 0.001 LTK fee

    All transactions are completely anonymous.

I must qualify this interpretation - right now the transactions are as anonymous as Bitcoin - ie no-one knows it is your address unless you link it to your id. Most people do not normally class this as anonymous in a conventional sense

I am, however, personally interested in anonymising technology coming to Bitcoin with a view to converting the mechanism to use with Litkoin. At the moment, it is not clear what is required to implements this. I will be looking at this sometime in 2018:
https://medium.com/@nopara73/zerolink-massive-scale-coinjoin-is-about-to-be-deployed-participate-in-the-final-test-and-earn-6225939d15fb

.. basic a tumbler allowing you to transfer coin from one set of addresses to another making it very difficult to track

Android alpha wallet this far is good, but need more speed to sync with the network, but for send and receive is fast less than 10 confirmation. I hope i can trade LTK in android just like coinbase did... in the future it will be come true....

The latest version will use checkpoints which will be generated and downloaded from the server - the sync on a new or refreshed wallet need only be from the latest checkpoint

The latest wallet will sync 100+ blocks per second - at 2 per minute that is about 1 second per hour disconnected

The alpha version scanned from the genesis block and was much slower - it took hours on the first install. That is a thing of the past in the latest version which will sync in around 20-25 secs per day since last server checkpoint - this sync is only needed on the first wallet setup. When i grab my phone it is generally in sync in about 10 seconds

One reason for this is the 30 second block time. Litecoin has 2.5 mins, Bitcoin 10 mins, Litkoin 30 seconds - the android wallet is a modern SPV wallet which does not need central servers to operate normal - it just uses regular nodes. The higher block frequency makes block syncing more difficult than other coins

The benefit of the short block time  is, however, that the transfers are very fast. This can make interactive payments viable even without Layer 2 solutions (lighting)

Hi ian, glad you still be here for sometimes, looking forward to your android wallet progress. I hope the best for your christmas this year and happy new year as well!

Yeah sorry about that - snowed under for last week or so- hope to get to it soon

I thought it would be good to let people know the lights are on and people are home

how many people are in the dev team, as the progress seems to be  rather slow

I personally am on a bounty - so the remuneration is directly related to the exchange price, and I have many other priorities - at 5 i start to take notice - at 15 you get it tomorrow, at 50 you get the world ... after that the moon ...

lol

Will this coin be applicable only to Indonesia, or it will have something for foreign investors as well?

I don't understand - the branding is Indonesian and some of the smaller projects have better support in the native environment but it is still, at heart, a Litecoin fork and has a lot of the characteristics (but faster transactions) - except price of course

I do notice it is being steadily mined so i think some accumulation going on here - the first halving is at 12 months so the supply drops - stealthy accumulation ?

The coin reward inflation rate is 100x Litecoin so in that respect it could place LTK at $2-$3 per coin - yeah it is no Litecoin but has a cost that is far far below that right now with many of its advantages (potential for lightning when it is finalised)
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litkoin - First Authentic Indonesian Cryptocoin - NO ICO on: December 22, 2017, 08:42:39 PM
is this project go to dead???

Certainly not - i am working on the android wallet but am contested on time and a wallet is NOT something you wanna release without being 100% sure it is working correctly and i am addressing wallet restore before releasing just as soon as i can. There are alpha versions out there being used right now but not on general release

On the same theme i am working on a desktop wallet that you can boot and run off a bootable USB flash drive. It has QR scanning capabilities using a webcam in windows (when launched off a plugged in drive) but have, as yet started to look for Linux webcam drivers for the USB bootable version (run on a mini Linux version)

I also have future interest in introducing some anonymisation features and was looking at ZeroLink (a coin tumbler) to see if it can be used with LTK for some privacy

Can US/Singapore citizens participate in the ICO?

There is no ICO - you can buy LitKoin at exchanges listed on ANN first page or mine your own.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litkoin - First Authentic Indonesian Cryptocoin - NO ICO on: December 11, 2017, 03:37:17 PM
any news on the coin?

Well i personally have been temporarily delayed on production of the android wallet. It is functional - you can send/receive/view transactions and it is a full SPV/HD wallet as advertised, but the restore wallet functionality requires some additional testing, it needs validating for release on google play, need version messages so i can announce release of updated versions

The wallet restore functionality is essential - i don't want there to be ANY chance of losing coin through wallet problems. Specifically i am ALSO developing a DESKTOP wallet which is compatible (SPV/HD) with the same keyword recovery mechanism and might even be able to process the same wallet files from the android version. This will give more safety and portability options

The desktop wallet might be multi coin - supporting more coins over time at whatever level is feasible (SPV/API ?) as well as being runable from a booting USB key

Can someone who were participated in ICO calculate the real ICO price please?

We got ~680% bonus.
2000 sat / 6.8 ~ 290 Sat per VOT

How long until you get that back at current prices?

There is a small amount on the Bid at 60 but most of it is down at 4sat -  0.00227371 BTC (about $34) on the Bid in total

I am guessing most people who bought at the ICO (about 10M VOT) will hold out until break-even so i expected a MASSIVE wall starting a little under 290

Saying that i just looked and currently on the book there is about 0.49 BTC up to 290, a hike to 0.79 BTC . In total there is not a lot of liquidity at all on the exchange so a buyer spending 1 BTC would pop the price up to a little over 400. I don't think this is aggressively traded so there are a lot of VOT held off exchange

Except when LTK hit new exchanger there was no PUMP, its only DUMP LOL couse miner have no interest to holding it BUT WE DO

I'm a holder
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VOT]: VoteCoin - a new era of anonymous crypto democracy on: December 06, 2017, 05:03:05 PM
1-3$ is very wet dreams  Cheesy but 3000-5000 satoshi is quite real price in the first quarter of 2018. Of course if we will see enough active development. Still mining VOTs because of low difficulty and profit practically equal to other equihash coins at current price of 100 sats

So on what basis do you offer this figure ?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litkoin - First Authentic Indonesian Cryptocoin - NO ICO on: December 01, 2017, 01:20:32 PM
Algorithm : Scrypt

Can I mine this with AMD RX cards ? Can someone point me to miner list that can mine this algorithm ? Big thx.

+ it worth mining with gpu or just asics ?

You can but it is not good economically on GPU - it is mainly an ASIC algorithm

Seems like VoteCoin is added to coinmarketcap. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/votecoin/

Great news! It means that Votecoin finally overcome 10k USD daily volume. It's important step for VOT project that shows increasing interest to Votecoin

If you looked at the actual trading activity rather than looking at CMC volume you would see that it is mainly wash trading

Interesting. How can you tell it is wash trading? It looks like there is significant downward pressure as of lately, so yea those were not real buyers likely.

I don't have screen grabs at the moment but around 22nd November at 9am if i recollect (a little b4 cmc listing VOT) we started to get transactions showing a buy, about every 15 mins +/- 3 mins, value about 13k +/- 3k VOT - the prices it showed filling at were always within the spread by about 2 sat. This would imply posting an offer 2 -3 sat below the best offer and hitting it immediately from another account before it shows on the order book. The cost  is commission and no net change in position - ie it is inventory neutral

Around the same time a much smaller model was set up, again on a regular schedule +/- a few mins, buying 10-15 vot at the ask price

Occasionally this "accumulation" pressure reversed but i never track it as it only amounted to about 50-100 vot per hour

Intersperse with this are occasional "real" trades

The period and size of these patterned trades have changed and you can only see them as far as the history shows so no way to demonstrate unequivocally without access to the history (API anyone)

I just took a cursory glance and the pattern is still there but the baseline numbers have change on the wash trading - it looks like a slightly wider range (6k-15k) but it still looks to be 15m +/- 3 mins

Any new about this coin???

I personally am working on some stuff for the coin . Nothing big - an android wallet. It works now but am addressing a few things regarding backup/restore before release. It's an SPV/HD wallet  so an advance on the regular QT wallet LTK comes with. It's really easy and convenient to use. This might encourage wider adoption

I also quite fancy a USB flash drive hosted wallet you carry about with you, say on your keychain - can pop into a donor Windows/Linux or boot from to avoid any chance of an infection grabbing the interaction. The cost would be a few $ to put together (essentially a donor USB from 1GB+ and small bootable Live Linux installation)

I would love this to be some form of Ledger light or perhaps a U2F device for authentication but it is not so easy as a USB key is by design writable and non unique - a Ledger has hardware facilities to identify the unique key and prevent access as a regular drive. I am, however, still looking into possibilities.

Also a web wallet in the roadmap - not sure when yet but it is under way Wink Also possibly a general desktop SPV/HD wallet that could run on Windows, Linux and possible MacOS. Also an IOS wallet is in the queue

The coin is derived from Litecoin but is not completely up to date as far as Segwit is concerned. Litkoin developers are aware of this and an update to the recent Segwit capabilities would enable Lightning in particular and Atomic Swaps which would prepare it for 2018 - the age of decentralized exchanges, as well as the hoard of other features coming down the line from Bitcoin for Segwit enabled coins

There are several sub projects in progress. Some of them very practical, some technical. The project road map does list these and i can confirm they are in development (i am working on a few)

I was just thinking of a USB flash drive with a self contained (no install required, no wallet files on PC) GUI wallet that runs on Windows or Linux (maybe even Mac ?).

It might be:

and also could contain a live linux installation so you could also boot it clean off a machine with no chance of infection by a virus
and you can carry around on your keyring

2. During the first week of December 2017 we would like to release small Linux operating system based on Slax, entirely bootable from USB drive, with VoteCoin preinstalled and ready to use (imagine it like "portable VOT wallet")

Is it gonna be a full node - does it need lots of space, or are you planning a lightweight/SPV node ? Is it QT based? , HD, Electrum ?

Guys, I'm pretty sure we've already informed you about our plan to release GUI wallet with voting features at the end of Q1 2018.

Here is some new information:
1. We would like to have prototype of GUI wallet by the end of December 2017
2. During the first week of December 2017 we would like to release small Linux operating system based on Slax, entirely bootable from USB drive, with VoteCoin preinstalled and ready to use (imagine it like "portable VOT wallet")

Everyone hope the price going up as high as possible but without demand, how to achieve that?
Demand need something to drive it and since the coin base on community (like doge), and dev only doing their jobs with their free times, we cannot expect this project will run in fast face, but slow and steady

Buy or mine and HODL.. that the community do if they care about this project
