Bitcoin is a highly informative coin with all the math explained in detail. The formulas are all available online, there are even resources that calculate the s, r and z from any transaction, so anyone can verify that the math works. Unfortunately, altcoins do not always provide such information. I was looking at zerocoin protocol and I was not able to find the link between the data in the transactions and the formula for the protocol, which is supposed to be c = gs hr (mod p) where c, g, h, p are supposed to be a part of the transaction. The github resources were also uninformative about how the signature contains these values, neither is google. How would one go about finding this connection? There are lots of coins using the protocol, but nobody explains how transaction decoding works.

Ok, as I understand it, zerocoin protocol is also based on math just as much as bitcoin. The formula is supposed to be c = gs hr (mod p) where c, g, h, p are known. When a zerocoin mint transaction occurs, it produces a signature 4 x 64 bytes. However, I am not able to find which part of the signature correlates to which number. The github coding annotation is also not helpful, as the noting of the signature says = params, coin, coin commintment, mhash. Could anyone please clarify me on this issues? I would like to understand how the math works behind the zerocoin protocol on my own transactions.

What is the new Eligius node address, anyone know? 68.168.105.168 does not seem to work anymore ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

staking icon still gray for me even with staking=1 at wallet conf fresh blockchain and unlocked wallet. Anything else im missing?
You need to unlock it only with the checkbox that says it's for anonymisation and storage. Your staking coins need 101 confirmations with the blockchain (since the time you moved them).

Thank you to the dev team for the timely update. Will zXLR also be available at block 263996? There is no info anywhere about that ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)
So was anybody able to spend any zXLR? The devs said in the update that zerocoins are implemented, however I am not able to spend them. The mints started to count, but I get error code 11 when trying to spend anything. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Would someone please check this information?
So zXLR also is not working, or is it just me? I try to send, but I get an error "Try to spend with a higher security level to include more coins" Poor devs, I feel sorry for them. The blockchain is up but... 1) PoS not working 2) MN not working 3) zXLR not working ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Anyone else can confirm that zXLR are still not spendable?

The WHOLE blockchain is stuck at block 259679. Proof here ( https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xlr/). Guys, seriously, get your stuff together. Uhm. Quoting Dev Twitter "#Solaris #Zerocoin starting at block 259300 " So....zXLR is supposed to be ON. About mining - check out Akroma, it's not listed on anything like whattomine, but the profit seems reasonable, even though it's ethash algo ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Great, guys, um...PoS phase started, I'm having troubles syncing my wallet? zXLR is in place as supposed to be? Uncomfirmed zXLR for more than 40 blocks??? WTH? I have immatured 10, although I know there were 2x 10 minted after my mint??? So zXLR just disappear after you mint them? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Wow, such a disappointer. Seriously, this is NOT what we all expected, devs! Fix your stuff, please! Would you please for Gods sake fix this, release 2x of every denom minted please, this would make this seem more secure for everyone! I suppose we all will see a new version of the wallet in the next week ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)

Thank you for the replies, I will check all of these thoroughly tomorrow. I was giving the trading pair as an example, I'm not planning to play on ETH right now. No trader will tell you the really profitable pairs ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) If I remember correctly, Arbitrage expert costs $ and it's not for free, doesn't even have a trial period. Coinigy gives 30 days trial, but doesn't let you swap your funds between different exchanges, which is what I was looking for.
I have googled, searched and searched and I have yet to find a good arbitrage app or website, where I could exchange crypto not only on one exchange, but also between them as well in an easy manner. Would someone point me in the right direction? For example, I would like to change my BTC from Bitfinex to Poloniex to trade it to ETH there, and then move ETH to Bitfinex and all that within five minutes in one App. Anyone help?

Seriously, if the guy was legit, he would just post his encrypted wallet.dat file instead of his qr code. He claims the wallet file is password protected, so I see no reason not to give it to anyone who wants to crack this type of encryption. There is a password protected file with 1 BTC in it, which nobody has cracked, so this is safe.

Thank you, all the four rounds of signature campaign were received. Were the first 300 of us not promised a bonus, by the way? What is the bonus?

No, it would not. 3 missing seed words are recoverable, however the attacker would need to at least know some of your wallet addresses in order for it to work 100 %. The more information an attacker has, the more chances he has to be able to break it. If you are not sure on the best way to back up this information, just input an extra word into your seed (just remember which one it is). Scrambling to find which word is fake and which ones are real, now that's a challenge I hardly think anyone could solve.

Try using pywallet tools to recover the private keys. In this case you don't need to download the whole blockchain, just pywallet tools.

So basically if the guy at some point moved - duplicated - deleted to trashcan one copy of wallet.dat - emptied the trashcan, Recuva would work to recover it even if the HD is encrypted, since the ransomware would not encrypt that deleted file. Wow, that's a good reason to create a copy of your wallet.dat, delete it to trashcan and empty it, just in case you ever get ransomware. Interesting way to back up a wallet.dat ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I haven't tried breaking ransomeware before, sounds challenging. A question though ,would it not be easier to run something like Recuva on the HD to try to recover the old unencrypted wallet.dat instead of trying to decrypt the new one? This would be your decoded QR file, right? https://imgur.com/a/uR1lN

I would also recommend you to view and dissect the files in hex editor and see what is actually inside them. Here are threads which have information on how to do that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2012533.0https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2857580.0Maybe try to insert data from the non-recovering wallets into a working wallet and try to recover the keys from that. This is just a thought. It would give the wallet file the missing structure, which the recovery software is looking for. Code the working wallet with the same passphrase you have on your old ones, it should work (in theory).

Check out XLR , they sound very promising and plan to have their own exchange in the future - txbit.io. The price is good right now too, it's around $10, the PoW will switch to PoS in a month, enabling staking as well after April 13th. In any case, whatever you decide, do some research and reading.
