21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Electricity: Threat or Blessings on: October 24, 2018, 02:36:48 PM
There is an increase in green energy miners who will help to change the way miners consume energy. Most use solar energy but newer projects are looking at bigger alternatives like geothermal
We can also look at a different angle, not just a solution on the side where we optimize the source of energy. We can improve the efficiency of processors so it would take less energy to solve more complicated mathematical puzzles. It might be harder to achieve, but I think this solution for long term.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To invest or help with marketing? on: October 20, 2018, 05:38:25 AM
When you become an investor, you put your money at risk but the return is good. You also get treated nicely by the team because of course, they owe you in a way. If you decided to do bounties, you don't risk your money; only your time. The catch is, you'll get treated like a dog by the team since in their mind, you given free money.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Choosing a Bounty Campaign? on: October 20, 2018, 05:27:11 AM
I make sure that the project has enough funds (reached their softcap) before I join it. This is to ensure that there would be coins allocated for the bounty pool.

Bounty hunting is also similar to investing in a project the only difference is that we are investing time here rather than money.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When are we going to see an era like 2017 again? on: October 19, 2018, 08:18:15 AM
I doubt the previous performance of ICOs return again this year. Ethereum is having scaling problems (difficulty bomb) and of course they would be affected. That and add the bear market we're in right now and you have uncertainty as a result.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin/USDT, Coin/ETH, Coin/BTC which one is better ? or all is good ? on: October 19, 2018, 03:05:03 AM
Tether has many anomalies and too many bad rumours in general so I prefer coin/btc mainly because I can track my trades better in sats. Besides, this pairing is has more liquidity on my part because I can't withdraw usdt here.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine a good ICO project? on: October 18, 2018, 07:51:50 AM
Not only does the team need to be transparent, they also need to participate in blockchain events to show how determined they are to let their project be known. Of course this goes without saying that their project needs to be unique and is not banal.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Strategy on: October 18, 2018, 04:54:23 AM
I buy crypto every 15th day, regardless of the price and hold it only. Not entirely a strategy if you ask me but this works for me. The stress in day ttading is gone and I don't need to watch any graphs most of the time.

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should there be that many cryptocurrencies that exists? on: October 17, 2018, 01:03:33 AM
We don't need many coins; there aren't actual use case for some of them. Much better if they dissolve and get shaken out of the market for good so people's focuse on coins wouldn't be divided further.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop Bitcoin's negative publicity?-Rebranding. on: October 17, 2018, 12:59:15 AM
We can try to have a commercial and air it to television. This will surely work since ads like this are already proven to have significant effect on the masses. The problem though is who will fund it.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Bitcoin total ownership goal? on: October 17, 2018, 12:56:06 AM
Of course all would say that they want to have more bitcoins as possible. Same as me, all my problems will literally be solved by bitcoin(after I trade it to fiat of course). Although by being realistic, my goal is to have at least 20 btc before I hit 30.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should governments accept Crypto currencies? on: October 14, 2018, 10:15:18 PM
Cryptocurrencies offer a new mode of payment for the people. If you look at it objectively, it brings more pros than cons which is why the government should allow or support it since their aim is to make their citizen's life easier.

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think abot ico new projects? on: October 12, 2018, 07:43:17 AM
ICOs right now are the same as last year. They are infested with the banalities of the ideas. The only way to gather much attention is for the developers to really think outside the box and propose viable projects.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: how about bitcoin of this year ? on: October 12, 2018, 07:39:17 AM
I doubt bitcoin will recover back to the previous price level compared to this time around last year and reach another ATH. The market is bearish atm and it seems that the investors are still burnt out with the recent continuous bad news that affects the price negatively.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake ico and bounty on: October 10, 2018, 11:47:56 PM
The best step would be reading the project's whitepaper since any information you might need will be included there. You then decide if the idea is too good to be true, and if it is, it probably is a scam. Check the team's linkedIn profiles, it can also give hints of scam.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects are abusing blockchain technology. on: October 10, 2018, 11:39:43 PM
This has been going for a long time. Last year when the ICO craze was on, any project that they could think of would be incorporated/integrated to blockchain. I almost thought that there would be tokens for pregnancy because of this.. anyway this shitcoins would be shaken of the market sooner or later.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What's the sole aim of bounty hunter on: October 10, 2018, 11:30:04 PM
Bounty hunter's main motivation is to obtain crypto without a starting capital. Nothing wrong with this, however some of them are going overboard by cheating in a project they are promoting. Anyway, even if they are intolerable sometimes, they are important in the crypto space.
