This is an important issue. I wish the Mt.GOX incident had not happened. The market constantly felt the threat of it. Prices are starting to go up. There's a rumor about MT.GOX. Then everything starts to go bad. I still miss mining.

Hey guys.
I recently did something stupid with my fat chubby fingers. I have a small BTC wallet with not that much in it but still, I wanted to encrypt it as I feel safer that way.
And so I did. With my usual password.
But it seems that I made a mistake (twice !) by typing it and now I'm looking to a way to configure the btcrecover token file for making it work when:
1: you know the password
2: but you made a typo, misswrote a part of it, inverted two letter / numbers. This kind of mistake.
If not possible, do you know a GPU accelerated tool that could work that way? I found Bitcoin password recovery tool by Thegrideon Software but I don't know if that's good or not.
This also is an interesting event to be used to learn a bit more. The amount isn't that big, but the challenge is interesting.

Download John the ripper lib from Github and use python and correct wallet converter like blockchain2john.py or tools to generate hash Download link: https://github.com/magnumripper/JohnTheRipper3. My first choice would be hashcat, as it supports many formats an has great support, download from hashcat.net or Github: https://github.com/hashcat/hashcat4. Create a password list, add rules and run overnight, it should find it. Thanks you for your replies guys. I just got a chance to tweak with BTCrecover and the tokens + typos maps and this could well be the wat to go, since I know what the password should have been.
I will give it a good shot and if that works I'm planning to write a tutorial for the ones who endup in my situation. That could be helpful as the UX isn't that easy to deal with with those powerful tools.
My only concern now is the poor way btcrecover performs with OpenCL on nVidia solutions.

This looks like the most shady project in history  No Market Cap or Circulating supply for a project that has been around for a year. No information on who is behind the project. Also on CMC it say's All Time High £2.09 GBP (Jun 24, 2019) .............. but for the 52 Week High it say's £9.49 GBP. It is only listed on Crex & Stex exchange. For sure ! And that's what make it fun to investigate on and quiete unique. |

how to convince people that your service is safe, I know your intention to help, but sending an account to a salty person in my opinion is very dangerous, especially if you don't have a good enough reputation in the forum, I think people will doubt your help unless you have a reputation or ways that make other people sure.

How about users who did not verify KYCs through FractalID or failed to verified? Can they get your support to withdraw their funds?
For people who successfully verified KYCs, they can easily withdraw their funds.
