21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 11, 2019, 01:50:45 AM
So, anyone with RX 5700XT mining ETH, can you give info on your memory temperatures? Does it exceed 95 oC?

I've noticed my HBM temps are running really high: 90-96C
I have 2 Sapphire Pulse 5700, one XT, one non-XT

GPU temp is usually around 60-64C and hotspot temp never gets over 70-71C

Using this in cmd line:
Code:
-cclock 1300 -cvddc 800 -mclock 900

Thanks for the info.
Looks like Sapphire Pulse cooler is unable to cool down the memory chips under mining load, and the reference cooler does better job at it. Are you using custom fan speeds or left it on auto?
Also does The XT and non-XT performs the same regarding mining?

Not even close - the hottest VRM temp is 62 C for me. Memory is at stock settings currently, waiting for a miner update before I try tweaking that aspect again.

Fan speed set at 60%, GPU Temp is 59 C (undervolted, ~107 watts power draw).

Not the VRM. In the Afterburner it's the Memory Temp. in HWINFO is the HBM temperature.

If Volta is used as reference, cryptonight v7 hashrate is still lower than Vega 56

I just hope it reaches 0.01 BTC someday

i keep on geting job timeout when mining

So how do I check my mining wallet balance?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: October 09, 2017, 10:39:40 AM
Vega can do ~4000h/s cryptonight-lite.
I managed to compile xmr-stak-amd for it. Or you can find ready windows build on github with 1% fee.

Care to share link?

This is just surprisingly strange (in good way  Grin), but I have no idea what is going on.

So on my test rig, there is only 4gb memory and I can only reach 1300 h/s on my vega 56. Today I tested it on another box and it reached 1800 h/s and I was very happy. But I cannot let it running long on this box coz it is just so noisy so I put it back to the old rig. After setting up wattman and starting the runner, I pressed h to see the hashrate. It is 1900 h/s and it is stable! I did not change anything! Still this rig has only 4g memory.

Anyone can explain this? Thanks.

Monitor attached to the GPU  both times? Vega has this quirk that when monitor is attached it works faster

Maybe it's good for a mod to freeze this thread for a while and put every relevant info on first page

What? What about monero then?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: September 27, 2017, 01:20:23 AM
Howdy folks,

I was asked by Hellae to try mining Monero on my new Threadripper 1950X + 4x Vega FE build. Well, I'm new to mining in general and probably am missing some optimizations, but here's a screenshot of xmr-stack-amd mining on the 4 Vega cards only:

Getting about 4800 H/s at stock.

I read earlier in the thread about needing to enable HBCC? The crappy thing is, Wattman is only installed with the intial release 17.6 Vega FE drivers from June 26th. Neither the blockchain drivers or RX Vega drivers include Wattman, so I don't have any of those options to change frequency, voltage, power, etc with the FEs unless I install the 17.6 drivers.

Any tips?

EDIT:

I reverted to the 17.6 drivers so I could undervolt and enable HBCC, and getting 6460 H/s now at 1602 Mhz core and 945 Mhz HBM clock. I guess the remaining 1600 H/s I'm missing is due to me running the 17.6 drivers instead of Blockchain? And perhaps the stock clocks?

Finally someone with Threadripper and four gpu builds. What is the temp? Do you use risers?

ird.globalpool.cc
Could use some help in hashrate
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Iridium - Cryptonight PoW - NO Premine - Fair Launch - Low Supply - NEW! on: September 22, 2017, 11:20:00 AM
So I pointed my GPUs to mine77.net and my cpu to ird.globalpool.cc

I suppose that's decentralization enough

Yeah, ird.globalpool.cc doesn't get blocks

yeah, it's like more than an hour already by the time I write this that no blocks are found...
