"Not so long ago, some experts argued that personal computers would never be adopted, and that tablets would only be used as expensive coffee trays. So I think it may not be wise to dismiss virtual currencies." Christine Lagarde

"Virtual Currency"  being the TOTALLY decentralized cyber currency aka Cryptocurrency and not the corporation controlled cyber currencies
Hope that is what madam Lagarde is referring to.

YES - Agreed!

23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Morgan Stanley CEO get's it RIGHT re: Bitcoin on: September 30, 2017, 07:54:29 PM

Some intelligence for a change (or at least NOT an attempt to manipulate markets).
24  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining Operations - MGT Capital Investments on: September 27, 2017, 12:27:11 PM
Been a year this week since MGT's launch and rather surprisingly, no McAfee style update on their news section or even a Happy Birthday from Bitmain. Can't say if the edge that MGT purportedly has is really any better than what others have. Unfortunately, the burden of proof is on them. If I were curious enough, I'd wonder what kind of hashing power they have now, especially with the reported expansion last month. Doesn't seem like they've opened up McAfee pool yet?

I've seen some early work on tech that (on paper, at least) looks like it might rival or even surpass MGT's claimed advanced and secure UI. easyMINE is one (and no, I don't buy theirs either).

Excellent - thanks for the feedback - I kind of expected as much!
25  Economy / Service Discussion / Mining Operations - MGT Capital Investments on: September 26, 2017, 06:36:44 PM
Hi Gents,

Looking for some critical feedback.

Not interested in "gossip" - I'm familiar with (at least what's been in the news) the various stories about John McAfee.
I AM VERY interested simply in what anyone can share about the technology behind MGT Capital Investment's Mining operations (the good, bad, and ugly).

Thanks!

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNBC: Why JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon is wrong about Bitcoin on: September 22, 2017, 10:20:52 PM
JPMorgan want to dump Bitcoin a few days before because it planed to buy a lot.
There is a complaint against JPMorgan for attempt to market manipulation since the Jamie Dimon intervention.

A bit disappointing that such a "established" Financial Industry leader would resort to DIRTY tricks - that anyone would be able to verify and see right through.
I've gotten so many confirmations from insiders about just how much Bitcoin trading activity actually goes on there. He is a liar and a cheat - and the real FRAUD in all this.

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congress submits bill making it illegal to hold cash, Bitcoin on: September 20, 2017, 08:53:27 PM
It doesn't make it illegal to hold cash and bitcoin. what a pointless clickbait.

Clickbait? LOL - your missing the point - (plus I doubt www.congress.gov is sitting around creating clickbait Smiley

The point IMHO is that the Established Banking Lobbyist are trying hard to get the United States Congress to pass bills that continue to reflect a negative stereotype relating to the Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency industry......Bitcoin and Blockchain have nothing to do with "Bank Secrecy Act Regulations" - That's the point of my posting - NOT to have people click on the US Congress website link.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Congress submits bill making it illegal to hold cash, Bitcoin on: September 20, 2017, 07:28:53 PM
Gents:
Congress submits bill making it illegal to hold cash, Bitcoin, or other assets outside of a bank without informing them in writing' .... https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/1241/text#toc-idea0e9489fc8f46379f95bb56c8bbbda5

How much do you want to bet that this bill was written by "established banking" lobbyists....I think it's obvious!
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: September 20, 2017, 05:37:31 PM
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

This question reminds me of the Twilight Episode - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rip_Van_Winkle_Caper
Plot: To escape the law after stealing $1 million worth of gold bricks (equal to $8.0 million today) from a train on its way from Fort Knox to Los Angeles, a band of four gold thieves, led by scientist-mastermind Farwell, hide in a secret cave in Death Valley, California. Farwell has designed suspended animation chambers and set them for approximately 100 years, figuring that, by 2061, the gold will no longer be "hot" and they can sell it on the white market without arousing suspicion.

My Friends - This is a great episode -  I don't want to give away what happens (for anyone so young as to not know what happens! - if you want to know in 1 sentence just send me a message) - but in summary the reality is we can't predict what will happen in 100 years!!!
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan’s CEO claimed Bitcoin it is a fraud on: September 19, 2017, 11:58:14 AM
Hi, what is your opinion about this ?
https://fxpmarkets.blog/2017/09/15/bitcoin-is-a-fraud-said-jp-morgan-ceo-jaime-dimon/
I heard JP Morgan bought  a lot of bitcoins after the fall,
do you think is only manipulation ?

Is it really a surprise that a senior representative of "the established banking system" feels the need (whether out of desire to manipulate or simply to denegrate) to make such an inflammatory statement?

IMHO - 1. The bitcoin price fluctuation (which may have more to do with fears around the China ban) - and subsequent 75% recovery is a clear reflection that the Market seems to know better than Mr. Jamie Dimon.; 2. I'm more than a little annoyed that this comment has (yet again) made the focus so much on Bitcoin and not on the revolutionary value of Blockchain itself; 3. I'd love to know how Jamie Dimon's daughter feels about all the bitcoin currency fluctuation and what kind of dinner table lessons of life are shared/discussed.
