Had some issues as well. Strangely only a few computers got affacted.

(Always backup your wallet first)
Q - Some of my miners having an issue and do not appear on the pool. CPU on htop/top shows %100.

A - Stop biblepay first. Reindex for about 5-10mins. If not work please remove

./biblepay-cli stop
 ./biblepayd -rescan -reindex

Still not working?
Remove blocks, chainstate, database under .biblepaycore and restart Biblepay.

Also make sure to have the latest mandatory version. You should be using 1.0.6.9.

Hi Alex,

15/3 of my vps servers got affected. 2 of them cured by reindexing. The other one I had to remove chainstate db etc. Then it just worked as usual.

Guys please calm down. I see the pool is experiencing issues but we need to be a community and be constructive and encouraging each other.

You should understand that we are dealing with a baby coin. Please act in a way that will benefit Biblepay not hurt it.

God Bless

so we lost about 600 unaware miners. Hopefully they ll understand whats going on.

Edit: It would be cool to add notification feature to the biblepay website and use push notifications.

Devs -

"PLEASE UPGRADE PLEASE UPGRADE" message is showing when withdrawing by email.

Bug? I have updated all miners to 1.0.6.5

I guess before the fork no trading and/or transfers are allowed.

In these days I feel a bit sad that we do not really show people how to mine properly. On windows it seems easy but not everyone is good with their computers.

Anyone out there to record a video? Then we the community people will create subs in different languages.

1) Full HD screen recording.
2) A slow speaker with easy to understand accent.
3) Tells each part of setup patiently. (Getting around the config and pool setup etc)
4)One video is for Windows and the other one is for Linux.

Anyone created a bash script for biblepay installation? This can also help people to setup their servers super fast.

"Bash script to install Biblepay CLI on Linux and start mining in the official pool"
https://gist.github.com/anonymous/d1c1d35e3c8f67f5fb2e204479fa5c6b

Its also at the bottom of the reddit post for Linux Mining:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/6ummuj/how_to_mine_biblepay_on_linux/

I wrote the Windows and Mining guides months ago and only updated based on comments I got.
This is my first and only time mining, I just got into cryptocurrencies 4 months ago LOL,
I think the guides could definitely be more user friendly and if someone made youtube video tutorials that would be awesome!

Ive been meaning to add all the guides I have to the BiblePay wiki so everyone can edit them: http://wiki.biblepay.org/Main_Page

===

From the top of my head we need guides/videos for:

- How to Mine BiblePay on Windows and Linux, How to use Pool
Windows: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/6umlqq/how_to_mine_biblepay_on_windows/
Linux: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/6ummuj/how_to_mine_biblepay_on_linux/
MacOS: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7id9r9/advice_for_bible_pay_wallet_on_mac/

- How to Send and Receive BiblePay coins

- Wallet Security, How to Backup, How to Password Protect
Backup: http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=27.0

- How to Buy Bitcoin on Exchange, How to Buy BiblePay on Exchange
Coinbase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NgXWhfVVJU#t=20

- How to Create Sanctuary (Masternode)
http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary

- How to Submit Budget Proposal

- How to Write Orphan Letters
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7647fc/please_remember_to_write_orphan_letters/

- VIDEO: What is BiblePay? BiblePay Trailer?
Showcase BiblePay, What makes it different than other coins?

===

TODO:
- write missing guides
- add guides to wiki so everyone can edit and improve http://wiki.biblepay.org/Main_Page
- add screenshots to guides?
- make youtube videos of guides

If anyone is interested to jump onto any of this, please do!

Thank you very much!. I will start making a video based on these in Turkish. Bash scripts are super easy for new comers and also for power users who want to setup multiple servers.

Please continue to vote here:

http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=39.0

Both exchanges asked to remain anonymous until go-live, but agreed to negotiate for 1.6BTC each because of our cause.

I think this is absolute fantastic, so I updated the poll.  They want to wrap this up in 7 days, so please vote.

We will not go live until 2018 so as to finish our mandatory upgrade first.

"Should we mint 3.3BTC for an exchange listing on Two of the Top 6 Bitcoin Exchanges?"
Remember to vote! This is fantastic news!

Voted thanks for the reminder.

It should only be pool mining if you added something for that in the biblepay.conf file. What do you have in your file?

"addnode=node.biblepay.org
addnode=biblepay.inspect.network
gen=1
genproclimit=1
poolport=80
pool=http://pool.biblepay.org
workerid=littlekingjohn"

genproclimit=1
Is this the one you use? This is what you change to 20 or more

it decreased.. lol.

this is weird why would my CPU usuage be at 96% for a 24 core CPU but produces 1,000 +/- hashes as my 4 core computer at 96% usage? Where is the rest of my computation power going?

My 4 core was putting out 14K hashes and my 24 core was only pushing at 15K.. (now 12K with the new settings).

Hi There,

I hear your pain. I increased my hash power 3x at least. Still could not get where I want. My first project on BBP to help others is on the way. Here is my own personal experience:

-hps2 takes time to increase and it tends to drop about %25 and increase again.
-huge hps not always provide the best hps2.High-end Xeon processor users probably upset about that.
-you see dudes 10k hps but producing 70k hps2 and I also managed to replicate that. Here is the basic formula. First you get lowend 20x - 30x vps servers. All these vpses run on the same worker-id you see only one of their hps and hps2 shows combined effort. I strongly suggest you to do otherwise. Why? Managing such numbers on single worker-id masks which performing well and hide problematic boxes.

This makes no sense. Why would a 4core intel processor (3 years old) outperform a 24core Skylake Xeon processor in terms of hashes per second?

What is the difference between the hps vs hps2? can you expand on the differences please.

Oh wish I could have the answers. That topic re-visited a lot before. I am not the expert in the field so my explanation might be wrong. For me it is your current power. For example you have a ferrari but in certain conditions you cannot drive fast it gets such as, traffic. When the road is empty and no issues ahead it goes faster and faster. The people before blamed the road(codes), blamed the traffic lights(the pool) etc.

The more miners adding to the pool, they will take a fair share for themselves. So, we old ones will not get as much as many coins.

God Bless

Although the price rise is very very nice, what is more exciting to me is the volume!
7.2 BTC in the last 24 hours!

I hope this can become the norm. Then we are in with a shot of getting on certain exchanges, and getting the debit card going.

Today, I am happy for Biblepay. I think Biblepay will able to help more and more orphans. Great job!

we need to translate to more languages

I think Rob is looking for someone to step up and start the project if anyone is interested!

If no one steps up Id be willing to take a stab at it Smiley (I dont have any wordpress experience, yet  Wink)

I have experience with wordpress and did lots of projects with wordpress. I am going to pm you.

Heres a side project for you guys:

Here is the list of exchanges by volume descending:

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/

I already sent an email to bittrex and poloniex, and created tickets for them.  Havent heard anything back.
Checked in with bitfinex, but they no longer service US customers or coins, so I think we should skip them unless they approach us.

If anyone wants to create a spreadsheet, and work on contacting the remaining exchanges, go for it.
I will fully verify my identity as a developer on their platform if they give us the pre-approval first that they will list us on agreeable terms for X amount of BTC.

Do we have anyone on here who can translate the website to Korean?
If we had a Korean version then we could target some of the Korean exchanges.

I can translate the page to Turkish as well.

Any chance to switch to wordpress so people can contribute on the website?

My suggestion is
a) having a modern wordpress theme.
b) polylang plugin to translate the whole pages to different languages.
c) admin configurates to have regular backups with xcloner Smiley

I was googling "is the bible in the blockchain" cause I was wonder if somebody has already encoded the entire bible in the blockchain.

Then I found this.

Lol, if the fulfillment of revelation 13:7 ever has anything to do with a  crypto currency it better not use BiblePay to enslave the world, that would be highly ironical.

project may have been already corrupted. please review this

----
the truth minded folks are discussing it here

Dear Troll,

Source codes are on github. You can keep deleting the truth talked on your "unmoderated" Biblepay topic. I believe the coin is developing super fast. First you wanted us to become a charity on Dash now threatening to fork the coin.

There are lots of projects out there. Click fork on github and call people to join.

I check the topic daily to see what can be done for this coin.

1) Great logo, very hard to forget. Good choice of colors. Using Latin make things interesting and will make people curious to search.
2) Thanks for SSL to connect to pool's website. I feel a bit more safe now.

I believe after the masternodes become online only thing need to be done is, polishing. Making ready for millennials so they will see dashboards on the pool to make sense and understand what is going on.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: November 10, 2017, 07:30:27 AM
And what is the problem this coin wil solve placing it on blockchain.

None. If donating to orphans is the 'killer feature' of biblepay, you can recreate it with a branded Dash wallet. Because under the hood that is what powers biblepay.

 No need to even create your own coin, code base, master nodes, miner network or anything. Just use the same Dash blockchain, the same dash token, and add a send to orphan fund button in the software.

No need for a special 'biblepay' currency. not limited to 1 exchange. and a user base of 900+ miners who dont really use the token but just mine it to sell it. And you keep using Dash currency that is worth $300 not 0.00009. No specialized stores to buy amazon affiliate goods. Traded dash for btc at any major exchange and do what you want. and Dash continues its development with a huge developer base so the code base is more advanced and maintained and open to scrutiny

When you pay someone the software asks you if you want to donate a percentage to the charity of the month. Then it takes your balance, splits a payment to the intended address and the orphan address. Its exactly the same way it works today when you are in a grocery store and it asks you if you want to donate to the 'children's' fund before giving you your final tally.

Thats literally all it takes to implement a feature that donates to an orphan fund.

I was being rude to the Satoshi guy and that situation made a bit sad. Here it goes again. I was not aware that Dash was about Christianity. Did I miss a meeting or you missed a major point about Biblepay?
If I wanted to use Dash, I would be using it. I just need a credit card with enough limit. I support Biblepay developer with everything I can because he is a brother to me in Christ.

There were a few handful of Christians in the beginning. Most of them tortured and killed where I live now and still I face daily threats and insults which noone should face. Do I just leave my belief to stop others to threaten me? I do not think it is even possible.
0.0009  - 0.00014 might help this community to gather people who really want to involve and support the project from bottom of their heart.

We need more developers like Rob, we do not need huge developer base. we are simple and want to help orphans. Did this coin have the target of reaching 100$ value and couldnt manage that?

300$ dash or 7000$ bitcoin and all the talk around it really does not touch me. We are not trying to get rich here. I hope you understand.

Bible_Pay why https doesnt work?  Huh

I guess cloudflare bothered way too much. Took all connections from all ports and made everything more complicated. Pool is not just a web content.

However, a new subdomain can be created

cname     value                          proxy
secure     pool.biblepaypay.org     proxy activated
pool         x.y.z                         dns only

so people connect to pool will not hit cloudflare's firewall. but subdomain will have ssl on. It is just an idea I did not try myself.
