21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Moving on to Other Things on: October 31, 2019, 07:56:20 AM
What do you think these other things could be?

I generally assume he was moving on to battle an illness, and that he lost the battle and died.

This is so dramatic Cheesy I think that he moved to other projects, people who innovates can not sit in one place, they have so start doing something, maybe he is searching a way how to create something bigger than Bitcoin

23  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: October 30, 2019, 03:14:56 PM
Yes, it is absolutely real. There is no discussion here, there are too many proofs to support the global warming.

25  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: October 30, 2019, 07:35:07 AM
Is KYC is benefit to crypto people or not. what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing KYC.

Universal money and Anonymous is the biggest strength of btc BTC, now every country follows KYC and then it can be controlled by someone.

Now KYC is trend in crypto market..... Cheesy

I would be extra careful where you add your documents because there are a lot of projects that are only about money, and cybersecurity is non-existant. So I think you do not want your documents, number, and other personal details to end up on the Black Market. All the time, when you want to complete KYC understand the risks and do it only on trusted exchanges or projects.

In general I like KYC ideas because we all know that BTC and other crypto currencies can be used not to only for buying KFC chicken, Lambo or other stuff. So having KYC platforms are trying to lower the risks of money laundering and illegal activities.
26  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best / Worst experience in crypto on: October 30, 2019, 07:30:13 AM
Worst Experience: being hacked and lost around 0.4 BTC which I bought them for $200.
Best Experience: used altcoin bubble to make some money
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to execute the 51% attack on BTC? How feasible is it in comparison to POW AL on: October 30, 2019, 07:24:20 AM
The 51% attack are not actually a threat in Bitcoin, because you need an enormous amount of hashing power to pull it off and it would have been more profitable to just use that hashing power to mine some bitcoins instead. This is not true for some of the smaller Alt coins, because they have a lot less hashing power and gaining more than 51% would be much easier and cheaper to achieve.  Wink

Also remember, if you manage to pull this off... then you would effectively destroy the value of the token on that Blockchain, because nobody would want to hold tokens that would be vulnerable to 51% attacks. <People will dump coins and the price will drop to zero>  Angry

It should be crazy expensive to execute such an attack as well.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Zuckerberg deserve this from Lawmakers and Financial Services Committee ? on: October 30, 2019, 07:22:04 AM
So I was wandering around on youtube and I came across this video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw7M7QamQgI ). I realized that the ideas behind the creation of Libra Coin by Zuckerberg are very similar to that of Bitcoin, which I felt that he is just being smart to launch a crypto coin like Bitcoin.  But do you guys think He needs the approval from these people before launching the Libra Coin? Personally, I don't think these people understood what he is trying to develop. This video really explains why Satoshi decided to remain anonymous. Satoshi knew that these people will never understand his ideas and contradict the development of Bitcoin.

Well while we can disagree with Libra, but those people that are questioning Zuckeberg are totally morons, half of the hearing was pure nonsense. They were asking irrelevant questions, being emotional and , etc. It just show how the people in the committee just don't know what they are talking about.
29  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for a CEO/manager for a legal anti-scam project on: October 24, 2019, 02:18:40 PM
Well, depends if you want a freelancer or a full time worker. If freelancer, I think you can find many freelancers pages online or groups like that on Facebook, where freelancers are looking for jobs like this, I saw a few, but the person should meet your interest so you need to talk to him yourself, but there are options. Also I think there are pages where you can post the open position at your company, place or etc., and then people can upload their life descriptions there and then you get in touch with them  Smiley
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: October 24, 2019, 01:30:42 PM
The first thing I thought about when saw this topic, is that no taxes means more money, yes, maybe, but from the other side, there will be no social wellness anywhere. In job, at the supermarket, at any place you will have no social wellness. If now you get hurt and/or need to go to a doctor you can do that very easily without paying most of the times because we have many free offers from the government. When paying taxes you kind of pay for your social and all the other kinds of wellness. Of course, when taxes are too high it's not good too.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: October 22, 2019, 10:21:19 PM
It's way too early to predict anything. Lakers and Clippers are almost on new rosters and all they had was so practices and show off games without showing real strength. It will be very interesting to watch them way anyway
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: October 22, 2019, 01:04:21 PM
If you're accepting bitcoin, you know the dangers. And it is not for everyone, as only larger and financially strong companies can risk this.
That's why bitcoin is what it is, the highs and lows make it more interesting and effective when trading.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Airdrop or Bounty on: October 22, 2019, 06:52:21 AM
I always wanted to dive into the world of prize hunters but my knowledge of gifts is not enough to enter the bitcointalk contest or do I have to play Airdrop? Because airdrop tasks are easier than gifts? please tell me friend

There is no point in spending your valuable time on bounties and airdrops of project that won't succeed and the coins that you will receive eventually will be worthless.

Try to find free courses about copywriting, design, programming, Udemy sometimes offer free courses on certain topics and Pluralsight has at least had 30 days of free courses. Learning a new skill will be way more valuable than doing Airdrops.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would ICO scene succeed if it was organized like crowdfunding not investing? on: October 22, 2019, 06:43:29 AM
What would happen if people didn't follow greed and projects didn't promise crazy gains? If this was not main theme of ICO craze, but instead - true and honest support?

If you support someone for example through Patreon - you give him money and you don't really think much what will happen with this money - it's lost for you anyway and you feel good for supporting someone you like.

If all ICOs went that route, sure, we wouldn't see such crazy gains but we wouldn't also see such falls. People supporting projects that would fail would probably don't scream "scam scam!" all the time.

If you give a dollar on a street to someone begging, you usually don't follow him later and check what he bought in a store - liquor or food. Yeah, you are dissapointed probably if you see him drunk next day but you simply don't give him more money.

If ICOs was organized more like that, I think it would be much more healthy environment.

Well, firstly, IMO crowdfunding is not well organized if we speak about Kickstarter or other similar platforms, there are a lot of bad products/brands there which fund millions and then do not deliver the quality that they promise. Patreon is a bit different platform. It is created for supporting artists and creators that you like; it's not about getting something from them.

ICO's are like crowdfunding, you promise and later deliver, and a lot of projects deliver less than expected or do not deliver at all.

I think that a well organized ICO's with real teams and good ideas will always get funded. Sometimes good crypto projects even don't go to public sale and get private investors. So I think that at the moment what needs to be done is to educate people on how to spot the right investment and how to spot a SCAM, because there are a lot of them out there.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My speculation for 2020 on: October 21, 2019, 11:27:23 AM
Do you believe that people will fall to the Alt bubble again? I think that the next bubble wont be so obvious... It will be sad to see people falling to all the sh*t coins again.
