Can anyone get a wallet to sync? Where is the dev?

I'm solo mining because I want to test out the wallet but I haven't found a block yet.

Careful mining at Mining Pool Co after the X11 fork. I don't know if we have confirmation that they received psionin's bitmessage. They may continue on with the old wallet mining scrypt and all those coins mined after the fork would be lost. I don't think Mining Pool Co does X11 coins, all the coins they have are scrypt or SHA256.
I have confirmed that Cryptsy has updated to the latest wallet so we are good to go!
I bid the miners good fortune. Happy mining! I won't be joining you all unless I purchase another psu.  Thanks for all the help, and I hope the transition goes smooth! With a little work, this coin could come back. I think this is certainly a step in the right direction, take care! |

first of all, let me apologize for the long time of no posting in here.
I was hospitalized (heat + exhaustion + old age can do that to me from what it seems) and this turned my schedule upside down.
Regarding the new wallet. I don't know how many of you will take it, but we don't have the required hashrate to protect the blockchain from attacks.
Even with exchange's wallet frozen, someone attacked again (the huge spike in network hashrate shows that).
The problem is that although there is interest to mine for good cause, it looks like there's more interest to abuse those who are interested and try to double spend coins to literaly "steal" from exchanges or whoever is trading with CleanWater.
So, we decided that the best solution is to turn it into pure PoS and very close after that, setup a multi-pool where you will be able to mine with whatever algorithm you choose to (sha256, scrypt, x11, x13, scrypt-n, scrypt-jane) for coins and exchange them to buy cleanwatercoins which will be used as payment for your mining work.
By tomorrow we'll have a new wallet and the plan is to stop PoW at block height 112000 and accept only PoS blocks after that.

It would be really nice if we could input our own ratios or actual hashrates at each algo because this will vary wildly from person to person and will depend on their hardware and tweaking abilities. Without that we have no idea if we are mining what is actually most profitable for us.

As of this morning was showing another "checkpoint" error, restarted the daemon. Just happened to notice that the "moneysupply" parameter has significantly dropped.

 More than 30 minutes i see this picture. Actually all of my worker is online. Accepted shares going every second. P.S. What means Enable\Disable word in Monitoring column? Same thing here. Sgminer is accepting shares and hashing away on the X11/X13/X15 switching ports but my reported hashrate on the website is zero at the moment, worker allegedly "offline". Fishy. P.S. it's supposed to send you an email if one of your worker goes offline (if you enable monitoring). The functionality doesn't currently work, however. The reported hashrate is usually indicative of what was actually happening a few minutes back. There is a reporting delay. |

Ok it happened again: "Stratum connection interrupted" and it doesn't reconnect. In the middle of the night grrrrr.
I suspect a dodgy SGminer. I read from previous posts that old versions of cgminer had that bug as well and ckolivas subsequently fixed it. I'll have to take that up with the PiMP guys. Is anyone else experiencing this?
update:
...and again. Noticing that one card has gone dead in the process. Very very weird considering I've been mining on X15 regular port yesterday (and regular X11 and X13 before that on SGMiner v4) without any sort of trouble. Note that I have a regular TMB X11 port pool as failover (but it doesn't matter at all as it simply doesn't reconnect if it fails).
I also can't restart the sgminer when this happens. My only option is to reboot the machine. Very annoying.
This happened to me several times before I just stopped using v5. I'd rather be mining a less profitable algo than nothing at all. |

What are the current problems, and what is being done to fix them?
I have read everything and while there is a lot of fires currently being put out one by one, I am no longer sure where the source of the fire is. Do we have underlying code issues still? If so, do we have an ETA for a "complete" fix?
I am patient, but holding these coins has been pretty stressful with the ups and downs happening so close together. It would be good to see something solid to boost the confidence of us few investors still hoping for this coin to take off.
In my opinion, there will need to be some seriously good promo's or media pieces to get this coin going again after the long stall. Any info for us on that end?
There really aren't any wallet problems anymore, other than we are still waiting on the Mac wallet to be compiled. Anyone with syncing problems still, just need to follow instructions (provided by Mindfox multiple times now  ). If there are no problems with the wallet why does it continue to go offline at Bittrex? Someone tried to 51% us (again). So after talking to Richie (bittrex), we all determined it was best to disable it and roll out this "fix" which will be explained in more detail in the coming day or so. The wallets are just fine -- I promise. heh, nope. And WATER is re-enabled on Bittrex. Water is still disabled on Bittrex! It was enabled for like a day and now disabled again. Obviously they are having problems with the wallet. |

About the 24 hour ban period. I'm clueless as to how this works. Is it an IP ban? I mean, could I get around it by connecting from a different IP address or changing my IP address? Could I just delete peers.dat? Thanks I should mention that my wallet is synced fine, this is just a theoretical question. BTW, before anyone suggests it I am fully aware that I can go through and cherry pick the nodes that seem to be on the correct chain then use connect= to force the wallet to connect only to them.
Since you know how it works, you should also know (or read the posts I made earlier) that if that's the case, you have to wait for at least a day before trying to reconnect, so that the ban period expires. And you'll do that *after* you delete everything from your folder, with the exception of wallet.dat I was under the impression that this new wallet was supposed to have built-in checkpoints to avoid having to go through all this crap again. If you go back about 50 pages in the thread we spent weeks trying to find a .conf file that would sync the wallets properly.
Hard Checkpoints (built in the code) can't be in steps of 3 or 4. And it has nothing to do with the conf file, you must be confusing things. New wallet has disabled irc connections (which allowed any node to connect, no matter if they were banned or not). Now the first nodes are the official ones and from them, the wallet learns connectable nodes that are allowed to connect to the network (have no penalty). If you have your old peers.dat, or if in your conf you have "irc=1" somewhere, then you will connect to any node, banned or not. Mindfox - why isn't the wallet syncing now??
YouIsPeng - the wallet is not syncing because as I said numerous times, most probably you are banned from many nodes and you have in your peers.dat nodes that are in the wrong fork. |
