i want to disable gpu2
use this command
-gpus 0,1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
but dose not work
use HIVE OS

I would say it is enough on 2 threads. I don't remember my exact settings on 4GB cards. You can always find yourself the best cofing. generally is it correct this sentences or not? 1. intensity should be a multiply by worksize. for example if your worksize is 8 intensity should be 8,16,32,....,896,902,910,... 2. if we find best intensity for the a GPU if we use double thread we have to divided it by two. for example if you have one thread with 910 if you change it to 2 thread the intensity should be 455 for each card? 3. the fourmula for intensity is (GPUram/2)-128MB? |

right now 470 is about 685H and 580 is 733H
i think 580 should give more

while ETH miner works fine
why?
i love claymore because os less power usage but watchdog error kill me
As far as I can guess, you're either trying to overclock too much or trying to undervolt too much. Adjust your overclocking/undervolting numbers till your GPUs are in the position of handling the work with stability. Are you using Claymore's integrated options or trying to use some driver for that? I kept having this error too on one gpu, was driving me crazy. Finally solved it by replacing the pcie riser which was faulty. Ethash mining is much more sensitive than Cryptonight to bad risers. is there a way to test riser? how we can sure the problem is from riser? why ETH miner has no probem with same OC/undervolting but claymore gives watchdog error? Claymore will break easier and reveal problems that don't come up on ETHminer, when I had a bad riser it did not crash on ETHminer but always gave the watchdog hanging error on Claymore and Phoenix. Try to find out which gpu is hanging and either give it a new riser or move the suspect riser to another gpu and see if it gives problems. so you as same as me believe that i got a weak riser right? claymore react against it but ethminer not? right? |

The easy way is to download fresh Hive version and set up from scratch. there is no command like nvidia for AMD? i want to try this For AMD

cd amdgpu-pro-XXXX
./amdgpu-pro-install -y
dpkg -l amdgpu-pro
To install new amd driver you need to unisntall previous one, please run “amdgpu-pro-uninstall”.
Please unpack currently installed driver tar.gz to /var/opt/amdgpu-pro-local then “amdgpu-pro-uninstall” will work.
It was removed to save space.
there is no “amdgpu-pro-uninstall” in the folder |
