21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying USDT during crypto dips.your thoughts. on: March 21, 2018, 03:57:30 PM
I detest the whole concept of USDT. I am sure if it did not exist, then the market would not experience the extreme drops it has over the past few months. People throw their belief in cryptocurrency out the window when they have an easy option. I honestly believe that if the option was not there, then the market would not have dropped to the extent it has. What to do, it does exist, but I hate it. Used it once a few months ago and have refused to use it since, win or lose. You're either in or out. I'm in.

I have the same feeling. USDT encourages more risky behavior from traders in  my opinion.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: best sources of information on: March 21, 2018, 03:53:58 PM
Where do you guys get your info from?  Like Twitter, PBC, coindesk articles, etc.  Always looking for new sources for research Smiley

you can use this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2949020.new#new

It lists most of the useful sites for research around cryptocurrencies and news.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales always be bathing on: March 20, 2018, 09:11:22 PM
I strongly believe the whales are trying to shake coins out of the weak hands before the big pump happens. They want to consolidate as many cpins out of the hands of tye little guys before scooping up as many as they can.

Could be true, but on the other hand, there have been a lot of FUD lately surrounding the fate of cryptos especially around South Korea and currently in the United States. In the long term it should help to be regulated more but there will be some pains in the fallout. Will probably observe if btc prices have bottomed out and then join the party then.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support the Use of Bitcoin as a National Currency? on: March 20, 2018, 09:09:10 PM
While it is good news for Bitcoin users/hodlers that countries allow the use of Bitcoin as a means of transactions within their border, what will be your position if a country decides to take a step further by using Bitcoin as its national currency?

Seems a bad idea in the short term as having prices pegged to bitcoin with its volatility is not good for economies but in the long term when bitcoin price is not that volatile I think there is a shot of it used as a national currency.
25  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Civil War in South Africa and Suidlanders on: March 20, 2018, 09:07:35 PM
Is Zimbabwe going to happen all over again in South Africa?

I've noticed Suidlanders.org accepts BTC, consider helping those in need.

It seems to me there is a unique donation address 1AFQi6eFM1uPxQgKHzEzU1JkTwaPzbkN2B  but to make sure check it on the website by clicking the bitcoin logotype.

Probably not, I think South Africa is a bit of a more stable country to fall into chaos also.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ten years later on: March 20, 2018, 09:06:24 PM
The value affects the price, and I'm going to analyze the value of the decade.

To understand the value of bitcoin, we start with the basic value of money, which is also money.

Money is the most common and effective mutual trust system ever. In any form of currency, its value is essentially: "does anyone believe" why the dollar is the most valuable? Because the world believes in it.

The popularity of bitcoin has grown rapidly in recent years with the development of the Internet. I predict that the price of bitcoins in 10 years should be more than half a million dollars.

Problem is that there is more better blockchains being developed all over the world that can supplant bitcoin as the top currency. Governments may opt to build their own bitcoins (national cryptos) so that it can be controlled.

Planning to add more cryptocurrencies to my portfolio, probably holding out until next next year. Just going to believe in them till the end.

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bought ETH at $800 - should I sell and re-buy or hold? on: March 20, 2018, 08:15:51 PM
Do some due diligence first if the prices have bottomed out. Would probably rebuy more at lower prices since ETH is a pretty good project and will surely be one of those always at the top.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finaly some good news from G20 on: March 20, 2018, 08:00:02 PM
Hoping for more good news to come, 10K mark next.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will XTRABYTES (XBY) Be A Top 10 Cryptocurrency By The End Of 2018? on: March 20, 2018, 07:58:10 PM
With all these FUD around the project and with no transparency on the status of the roadmap, surely a lot of red flag for this coin.
Bitconnect had the same issues with a lot of detractors, much better to be wary than FOMO.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡⚡ Is this the best way to access exclusive ICO presale deals and bonuses? on: March 20, 2018, 07:53:31 PM
Would still prefer to go lone wolf as it is a bit risky since money can be gone with these pools.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter and Google joining war against crypto on: March 20, 2018, 07:51:05 PM
Big companies that primarily rely on ads are afraid that cryptos can end up being a Frankenstein monster that they can never control. Also scam ICO's  are partly to be blamed for this mess.

Lots of scam ICOs being advertised hooking up newbies to cryptos that are not ready for the volatility of the markets.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: From $7.5 to $8.4 (March 19) on: March 20, 2018, 07:49:44 PM
What's your take on the recent bounce of bitcoin price, just hours ago I saw the price as low as $7500 per coinmarketcap and then a surge of doomsayers thread saying that bitcoin can go as low as $2500. Lol.

Now the price is completely reverse itself, care to share your thoughts specially those who are calling that the price will go down? I really love to hear your thoughts on the current reversal.

1. Another bulltrap?
2. Dead cat bounce?
3. $7500 is the bottom and its seems that investors can't deny the fact that is quite cheap already that why they need to get it at this price?

Good indicator to watch is if there is uptick in the volumes. If there is none, seems a bull trap for now. There is no end to the uncertainties being faced y cryptos as more governments are being wary of the implications of uncontrollable money supply which can wreck havoc to economies.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you predict coins will be stable again? on: March 20, 2018, 07:47:37 PM
The top 10 coins will always be somewhat stabler than every other else. With the upcoming battles between blockchains and central banks, let us see if innovation win or traditional institutions cannibalize cryptos.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Earnings without risks for beginners on: March 20, 2018, 07:45:20 PM
HI! If you feel that you have little experience or just want to get a lot of different crypto currency without an investment, then you are in AirDrop projects or Bounty.
You can read about AirDrop and how to receive them safely.

Looked at the other AirDrop channel (top) and there is such a slag. Unclear information, half of AirDrop unchecked and fake (no tokens will not be listed), a lot of advertising and scams. That's directly felt that they do not care about the reputation and the subscribers. Simply squeeze the loot. I think that you can not do this. When I created my project, I decided that this garbage will not suffer and my channel will be oriented to quality and to subscribers. In my channel, I myself first of all read, study, check, add to my purse, and only then I spread

Try to find different resources for this or as an option, join my new and developing AirDrop channel in telegrams - https://t.me/cryptoqraf

There by the way, the first post (at the top) tells in detail how to learn how to effectively get AirDrop. My channel selects only proven and safe airdrops, and also here you will not see a scam and bothersome advertising.
And see for yourself what kind of earnings you are more suitable for. Just do not forget before that it's good to study the topic.

Airdrops are like lotteries as you will not be sure which ones will generate income. If you want more solid returns for your time I guess you should join bounty programs being run by ICOs. Signature campaigns etc..
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we all please accept.. on: March 20, 2018, 07:43:51 PM
Accept the fact that most of governments will oppose crypto currency. Obviously there are some countries who have decided to embrace the future, but let's face it, most of governments will stand against. Who likes their currency to be weaken? Every time a stupid country opposes bitcoin, there is so much fud and a great price drop.

China bans mining

South Korea will not ban crypto but obviously does not welcome it

India banning crypto

I fully expected this resistance from governments.

Don't be surprised if more countries come out against bitcoin

This will all be in the short term. Once governments gets to learn more on how blockchains work and the efficiency that can be derived from it I believe issuing of national cryptocurrencies will be on the rise. This cryptos will supplant the current fiat system and will be more transparent than the cash system.
38  Other / Meta / Re: Clearly merit farming/trading is happening. on: March 20, 2018, 06:17:56 PM
Every system has a loophole. Really hard to get this merits as people sparsely send them to deserving posts. Most will just send it to someone they know as it is very limited.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: March 20, 2018, 06:03:46 PM
why is it ok for a group of people calling themselves the government to force everyone to buy their services?
if enough armed people refused to pay and told the government to go fuck itself there is nothing they could do.

people need to live in peace and with laws, that is why governments are formed or else anarchy will reign in the lands. For governments to function they need money so taxes are needed. Before there were no income taxes and people are taxed indirectly on goods and other stuff. Then, people in the governments learned how to butt-fuck everybody by raising income taxes to finance wars. That is when everybody got beholden to the government.
With the government controlling the army, they can have the monopoly on bullying people to pay or else suffer the consequences.

Honestly having people band together to boycott the government is hard, especially risking their lives with reprisals from the army, please see what happened to Syria. Normal civilians being killed by their own government.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new way to earn cryptocurrency without investing? on: March 20, 2018, 05:56:29 PM
Never heard of crowdfunding before or COSS for that matter. I earn cryptos for free when I join airdrops though. Just need to sign-up.
