21  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk Question - Posting Pictures? on: November 14, 2017, 12:12:04 PM
I'm wondering if I posted a link to an image as a Newbie, and then become a Jr. Member, will it magically turn into a visible image once I reach the rank, or will I need to go in and edit the image? (Sorry to get so esoteric!)

No, your post stays the same and the forum engine just renders it differently depending on your status. If you're a newbie, it will render your post just as a text array, if you're junior (or copper), the engine will scrape your images and render them.
This happens when a page loads, not when you post your reply.

Hope thatll make this clearer.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 06:18:35 PM
I would reinvest it. Investing profits (if you already have some) are usually quite easy coming (if you are not doing intraday). So you wan't be in a problem if you lose them.
So reinvest and try to gain more. If you lose — you won't be dissapointed much.
If you win — you would win even more
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forks: Is it better for bitcoin to loose value and split into unlimited supply? on: November 08, 2017, 03:06:34 PM
Forking is actually is a way for BTC to become a speedy real currency.

Forking happens because of upgrades need to be done via consensus, not centralised.

Also, BTC forks can, for example, be used for different options.
Some currency will be very secure, but slow.
Some will be very fast but for low amounts (like lightning network, etc)
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you guys read this story about a guy who lost $30K Bitcoin... on: November 07, 2017, 01:50:27 PM
On different estimates, more than 3 million BTC are buried on lost wallets.

The crypto economy is still raw, and requires a specific mindset. Nowadays, nearly everything can be restored. You can restore you passport, you credit cards, your passwords using your identity (your body) or existing records (ex. email password or birth certificate).
When you generate a private key, it's just you and the key. No one knows it, and no one can restore it.
This is quite challenging to understand for many people, not because they are dumb, but because this is something completely new.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to invest in several altcoins simply? on: November 07, 2017, 01:21:34 PM
My way of doing this is:
Bulid a sheets file with the portfolio structure. You can even integrate live altcoin prices in Google Sheets (the plug in is called cryptofinance and very easy to use).

Then get an account on bittrex, buy all the altcoins and write the transactions in a file.
Transfer the coins out.
I use Trezor as a wallet, it can hold many wallets, others usually require a stand-alone wallet.

If you keep your records and state where are your coins (exchange or wallets), it will be easy to track.

Check this explanation on PoS and PoW, it's good.

Proof of concept usually means some fact of research or testing a prototype for new startup (crypto or not, does not matter).
For ex. you propose that shoes should be sold separately, so if someone rips one of them, he ll be able to buy only one new.
To convince investors to give you money for the project, you need to show them that your whole 'single shoe concept' is viable. For example you can register on eBay and start selling them. Or in any other way. That's proof of concept.

the second one is an unobvious UX move, but you just need to login now.
28  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin is ...nothing,acording to my country`s laws. on: October 26, 2017, 06:22:17 PM
I live in a country in the EU and i tried to get some information about how can i pay my taxes for my btc revenue.
Acording to my country`s legislation:
1.Bitcoin isn`t  digital money.
2.Bitcoin isn`t a digital asset.
Acording to the laws, bitcoin is nothing...BUT acording to the same legislation,i`m obligated to pay taxes for all my revenues, including the income from online trading. What if all my income comes from bitcoin trading?
Do i have to pay any taxes or no?Sorry,if this questions is asked here before.
Is this ridiculous?

I think taxes should be paid when you transferring crypto into fiat.
29  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are Bitcoin private property on: October 26, 2017, 06:19:39 PM
While bitcoin is off the legal field in your country and you don't have any documents that could prove your property rights it hardly can be called private property
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin GOLD - A well thought Scam? on: October 25, 2017, 05:15:53 PM
the report is very useful, thank you.

you also can't actually say it's free money, because hype around forks influences the prices of other currencies.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: October 25, 2017, 02:55:29 PM
Guys all hello. I have one question. Who knows when Bittrex plans to pay BitcoinGold???

I think only after replay protection. BTG source code is still very raw.

You can check this report for more info
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please tell me , this omg coin calculation correct on: October 25, 2017, 02:18:33 PM
Ok if we say 30000$ dedution fees  at least 25000$ we can get

fees on crypto<->fiat conversion can exceed 20%, so you can get around 25000, you are right. Please double check the exchange fees though.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger releases NEO wallet on: October 25, 2017, 02:14:45 PM
Yeah, I hope the will finally provide a solution.
Messing around with the private key on every login is far from secure.

Any new on Trezor, maybe?
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did not any altcoin take up in price just like bitcoin? on: October 25, 2017, 02:01:29 PM
it depends on the amount of people involved.
Number of people who have heard of bitcoin is significantly larger than the number of people who have heard of any altcoins.

BTC took nearly 10 years to get where he is now. Most alts are less than a year old.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs scam? on: October 25, 2017, 01:54:55 PM
Even if we suppose that all ICOs are legit, not more than 10% will be really successful. Buterin has recently confirmed it. But its really same as with startup industry
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟🚀🚀🚀 [ANN] [Alaricoin] [ALCO] [preAIRDROP] on: October 25, 2017, 01:37:11 PM
How are you going to create the value? Why use your coin as a mean of exchange if you can just use ETH?
Thanks.

Am I correct — Any US citizen can take part if he pays a $60 fee? Are there any additional requirements?

Thanks
38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All exchanges are not created equal - Kraken & Bittrex & ? on: October 17, 2017, 05:44:01 PM
Bittrex is not accepting Fiat, that is why sometimes rates can differ, because people do not have this much BTC to buy, for example.

Also, of course, prices may be slightly differ depending on people who are trading there. The persons who usually equalise the prices are called arbitragers. They see the price difference, and quickly buy on one market and sell on another. When there are many people doing this, the two prices equalise. This happens on non-crypto markets too.
39  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to automate Bounty campaign? on: October 17, 2017, 05:34:31 PM
Also, check this tool out https://www.integromat.com/
It is similar to IFTTT, but mush easier to use with greater possibilities. Can integrate telegram chat with google sheets, for example.
40  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to automate Bounty campaign? on: October 16, 2017, 06:42:11 PM
In general, we are talking on a complex automation SaaS, which is generally not effective to build for a one-time use.
So we can only use some tools to do part of a job.
For example, I can suggest using google analytics and generating UTM links (for example with btt user id in them).
Than you can track every user's link clicks.
But this can be spoofed as well.
