Where I am confused is that why won't he stopped already? Those that are addicted to gambling that i knew get to this same level of losing everything and they make a U-turn in the end, what is keeping him imprisoned ? His mind? or he is already crazy? Or even a spiritual attack? Until you understand that addiction is an impulse disorder then you will not be able to the difficulty he is facing. Most addicts really desire to quit but they cannot. If this is the case then wishing that international break be scrapped is completely out of place. Personal experience shows that most people who do not cherish the international break are people whose countries are always not featured in the break. You have to feed the children, cloth them, shelter them, pay their fees since they are depending on you for their survival. For instance, as a single person, if what I use in gambling is $100, there is a tendency that this staking power will reduce when I start having children especially when my income have not increased. This is owing to the fact that I need to cover more bills as the head of a family. So, if $100 is what I can afford to lose, it will no longer be since the bills have expanded.
However, this is different for an addicted gambler and a person who hopes to fend for his family through gambling. Every addicted gambler doesn't prioritize the welfare of his family rather his focus and mindset is always to gamble thereby neglecting the basic needs of his children.
