21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BİNANCE HACK? I GUESS on: March 07, 2018, 10:53:25 PM
So, after all, there are some trading bots that has been compromised and everything is OK right now? I`ve seen the tweets from Binance and also some tweets from people saying their tokens are gone and frankly I don`t know what to think anymore. I logged in and the Binance`s website seems fine, but currently I don`t have any tokens there so I can`t withdraw just to verify if this is possible...
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum TO $400 AGAIN on: March 07, 2018, 06:02:21 PM
$400 per Ethereum is just pure speculation right now, but it might happen if the crypto market loses half of its capitalization  (and all coins will be affected the same way) - otherwise I can`t imagine how Ethereum could lose half of its current value. Most probably it will gain value after PoS will replace PoW...
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: India banned crypto?! on: March 07, 2018, 05:28:07 PM
Rumors say that India has finally banned cryptocurrenties. I was kinda shocked to see the marketcap from $430B to $399B instantly.  Shocked
It`s even worse, right now the total marketcap is $388B... I was wondering what is the reason for this abrupt drop and I couldn`t find any news to justify this, but a ban of crypto in India might lead to this. If it`s just a rumor, the market will rebound shortly, if it`s official it will probably take couple of days - business as usual.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange KuCoin and KuCoin shares on: March 06, 2018, 05:16:56 PM
Can someone please tell me if GAS earned for holding NEO on the exchange is paid by KuCoin even if the entire amount of NEO is currently in orders? I tried to find a clear answer about this matter but so far I didn`t manage to find one.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA vs. IoT Chain on: March 06, 2018, 04:46:29 PM
I`ve been seeing lately many new threads with Internet of Things comparing IOTA vs. IoT Chain and to me looks like most of them are some kind of shill because in a way they are trying to make people think this IoT Chain is the same caliber of IOTA or maybe that they share the same tech. I advise people to read carefully the whitepapers and to check the teams behind the projects.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do u follow what politicians say about cryptocurrency? on: March 03, 2018, 10:42:36 PM
In most cases, politicians doesn`t have a clue about cryptocurrency but this doens`t stop them from say something - they tend to says whatever they expect people want to hear, just to be voted again. So, of course I don`t follow what politicians say about crypto or anything else (it might help when you day trade, because sometimes panic sell can be anticipated). We all know they will say something but in the end they will try to regulate the crypto.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Global Jobcoin - 3700% up? on: March 02, 2018, 04:43:17 PM
What's going on with Global Jobcoin which is up 3700%? Currently tarding at $350. Is it a pump case or  any big news out there?

Just notice that Global Jobcoin (GJC) has only $8,229 daily volume and $4,6 billion market capitalization (it`s currently ranked 13 on CoinMarketCap!). I never heard of it and frankly there is no news that can make me put money in this. After I document myself about this project, I might even invest some in the future, but definitely not right now... so far to me looks like a classic pump and dump.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In which coins to invest my $2500? Ethereum, NEO, Bitcoin Cash, Gas, or Waves? on: March 02, 2018, 04:33:16 PM
Dear Bitcoin Community,
I feel like I have to learn a lot of things from you, so I decided to ask you exactly what the title of this thread asks: In which coins to invest my $2500? Ethereum, NEO, Bitcoin Cash, Gas, or Waves?
I have already bought Dogecoin and Ripple, but in your opinion, in what coins should I invest my next $2500?
To make it easier, I even created a Poll with coins in which I would like to invest, but if you think the coins chosen from the poll are not a good investment, please help me to choose something better.
Thank you!
I wonder why you consider investing in GAS instead of NEO? Because holding NEO will bring some GAS but holding GAS won`t bring you anything... So, choose NEO! ETH is a good choice too, but I can`t say the same thing about Dogecoin - it was created as a joke, the development stopped long time ago and even its creator recently said it will finally collapse (indeed, it is good to make transfers, but personally I don`t see it as an investment coin).
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A versatile hardware wallet on: March 02, 2018, 04:18:30 PM
You should take a look at Nano Ledger S - I`m using it since last year and I warmly recommend it. It supports many coins and continuously makes efforts to support more in the near future (the only thing that doesn`t make me say it`s perfect right now is the fact that I can`t store IOTA, but there are plans to implement even IOTA in two months, check IOTA`s subreddit to see more details about the progress that was made).
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if airdrop is legit on: March 01, 2018, 04:16:33 PM
It`s quite difficult to find out if a crypto project is legit or not - it`s more important in case of ICO because you pay for the tokens and less important in case of airdrop since you`re supposed to receive some tokens for free. So, FREE is the keyword here, never pay for an airdrop and never donate for a project which promise an airdrop. You`ll be safe as long as you don`t download and install some unknown wallet and don`t visit phising websites clicking on spam emails you receive (because you`ll definitely receive plenty after you register for some airdrops). Also, if you have time, you can check the team behind the project (stay away if their Linkedin profiles are newly created), read about what people say about the project (be careful, it is probably a scam if it has 100% good feedback), see if the token has a real use cases and indeed need a blockchain.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the next best 2018 Alt coins in your opinion and why? on: March 01, 2018, 03:59:43 PM
In terms of investment, the best altcoins in 2018 are the ones who will bring us the highest gains, not the ones that has the best tech or the best adoption right now. So, I keep Ether, NEO and IOTA as a safe investment hoping to double (or even triple) their price but my bet for this year is Oyster Protocol (with its tokens PRL and SHL). The Oyster network network is aiming to become a massive organic super computer (it`s quite difficult to understand it because initially we need to understand how IOTA works). Simply put, PRL has a real use case (decentralized and anonymous storage + websites monetisation), it uses IOTA tangle, its value will be pegged with an amount of data storage and SHL will be used to pay for connecting to the meshnet bypassing ISPs or for using the future dapps that will be created.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is MEW Safe to use now? on: March 01, 2018, 03:24:56 PM
Recently there was a split between the team behind MEW and a new paper wallet site opened up.  Is MEW still safe to use with a Ledger?
Myetherwallet it was always safe to use in spite of all the FUD spread by the Blue team. Now, even if its original team has split and created Mycrypto, MEW is the same and it`s even safer to use with a Ledger or any other hardware wallet. Remember that MEW id not holding our funds, it is only an interface of the Ethereum blockchain.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin under 1$ ? on: March 01, 2018, 12:27:17 AM
The price solely can be deceiving. You better should pay attention to circulating supply and total supply, a coin under one dollar doesn`t necessary mean it will ever go to $100 or more. And always keep in mind the market capitalization, for example today Bitcoin`s is $179 billion and circulating supply is 16.9 million coins.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: February 27, 2018, 10:22:10 PM
If you don`t plan to trade them, then is better not to keep your coins on any exchange. Indeed, if you have many different coins, it`s more convenient to keep all of them in a single place, but you have complete control over your funds only if you keep them in your wallets. Obviously, a hardware wallet would be the safest choice.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some one used my username on bounty on: February 27, 2018, 09:59:31 PM
The first thing you have to do is to make sure you`ll get the tokens, so put your wallet address at location section in the Bitcointalk profile in order to prove that you are the real person. Then report the cheater to the bounty manager and to a forum admin so he can be banned from forum and bounty.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need some help on: February 25, 2018, 09:34:28 PM
So I’m on forkdelta for the first time. I accidentally sent my eth to the fork delta smart contract by mistake. Hit the wrong button. Any way to recover it? What happens to my eth? Is it lost forever?

Maybe there is a chance to execute function calls against EtherDelta smart contract (ForkDelta is just a fork and as far as I know it uses EtherDelta smart contract and wallet). Go to Myetherwallet, click on "Contracts" and select the EtherDelta contract from the dropdown. You have to choose "Withdraw" and enter the amount (but the value is in Wei, so you have to put something like 550000000000000000 - I used this value for 0.55 ETH). This method worked for me when I wanted to withdraw my funds from EtherDelta during the period their website was hacked, so I`m not sure it works in your situation. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or has the word 'airdrops' lost its meaning on: February 24, 2018, 03:25:02 PM
Indeed, the word "airdrop" lost its meaning months ago... I miss the days when registering for an airdrop meant to just input your wallet (and maybe your email address or Bitcointalk ID). Nowadays you must fo some work in order to receive the so called airdrop and usually you must have a Twitter account, a Facebook, Telegram, Medium, Reddit. Also, more and more want you to refer people. Even worse, the new trend is to require KYC... WTF?!?  Roll Eyes You send your passport, a photo of you holding it and utility bills to an unknown company and you do that for tokens that sometimes worth less than $1 (I receive plenty lately, it doesn`t even worth the time and gas to sell them)...
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of this SCAM about EOS airdrop on: February 23, 2018, 10:44:40 PM
If you receive an email saying:

BREAKING: EOS Devs Announce Massive Airdrop

beware!

is a scam very well performed that will link you to a fake coindesk site
original:
https://www.coindesk.com/
fake with the :
https://www.coindeṡk.com/EOS-halves-token-amount-for-blockone-leaves-tokens-to-be-claimed/

that link you to a mywtherwallet veryfied page with a contract ready to be deployed

beware because scammers know that all of us wants free coins!
Thank you for the heads up. Recently, I got a lot of scam emails like this. Don't know how did these scammers get my email and my name.
I`m also receiving countless phishing emails and I suspect the reason is an airdrop registration or even a bounty registration (unfortunately, I took part in a scam ICO managed here, on Bitcointalk). Luckily I haven`t used my primary email for this.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to 100% invest into 1 alt coin, which would it be? on: February 23, 2018, 02:08:48 PM
If you had to put all your funds into a single altcoin, you probably have a huge appetite for risk. I`m not quite a risk taker, so my choice would be an established coin like NEO, but I suggest you take a look at PRL - it has the potential to hit top 50 spot on CMC. I assume you listen our opinions and in the end you choose one coin ONLY AFTER you do your own research!
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Could Surpass Bitcoin By The Year 2019 on: February 22, 2018, 09:54:31 PM
I`m already tired to see another article about some new "Bitcoin killer". NEO is one of my favorite coins and do I hope it will surpass Bitcoin eventually, but I don`t think this can happen this year... by the way, NEO must surpass Ethereum first  Wink
