I'm confused why the OP can't see that this isn't ignorant, condescending and accusational:

Quote
seriously? so how are you different from all the other scammers out there selling stuff that doesn’t exist?

how about posting when you have them in hand

OP, you REALLY need to work on your communication skills, because they SUCK.

My inquiry was ALL of these things, this is part of how the business world works, asshole customers are every where.

Any real business professional would have jumped at the opportunity to gain another customer by outlining who they were and how they did business.

Had they done this, or, gasp, used some humor (which generally always turns around acerbic customers), Im pretty sure I would have bought from them as their site looks quite good and they responded to me on a sunday morning.

Instead I got a knee-jerk emotional response that instantly warned me to proceed with extreme caution.

My intent of this post was not looking for sympathy for my oh so fragile and now bruised/shattered ego. Rather, it was to detail my brief experience with yet another bitcoin asic seller.

Maybe this info helps others, maybe it doesn't. It did help me make up my mind pretty fast.

Actually, i post the exact text of my email, nothing omitted, in the OP.

So, let me see.  You accuse them of being scammers, and get humpy when they tell you to get f**ked.   Huh

Simply asked them to clarify the delivery time frame, pretty simple question. Business people usually don't instantly tell you to f'off because they didn't like your question.

Point being, do you really want to deal with an organization that's so instantly hostile.

Should add that this was a craigslist listing in TORONTO, their company is located in Virginia. I was under the impression craigslist is a local, face to face thing.

Doesn't really encourage me to want to buy from them. Anyone else ever deal with these people?

We are shipping our first batch of machines this Friday.  We build to order; the machines are too valuable to sit on shelves.

We do not appreciate your comments and would ask that you source equipment from another company.

Please do not reach out to us again.

My sd card got corrupted so I imaged it again not realizing I used an old version of the image file from megabigpower. Nothing but low hash rates and 0 hash rates for 2 days.

When I realized this I put a new image on the sd card from megabig, the one linked in their help file pdf.

Its been running rocksolid for 2 days at full hash rate, about 30-34 ghash per card on an 8 card setup.

so, make sure you are running the most current image file as it makes a huge difference

Make sure you are using the correct image.  On the M-Board it will say what version the board is.  You can fit the V1 and V2 image on a 4GB SD card, however you will need an 8GB SD card for the V3 image.

V1 (3.64GB)

Hey, Matt. Does BA give BA re-sellers a discount and an extra 25% frequent flyer miles?  Grin

We get a discount on the equipment yes (lol duh), but all the airfare is 100% out of my pocket. I paid to see them in person because I wanted answers. Harder to dodge when you show up to their office Tongue

But in all fairness, it was a fairly pleasant set of meetings, lots of things that need to be fixed are hopefully going to start, especially communication. The biggest thing I got off the meeting was they are in this for the long run, not just the minion.

EDIT: I WISH I GOT EXTRA MILES.

thanks for the update, good to hear they are in it for the long haul

Hello all,
I will be ordering a unit Friday when my BTC get deposited.
2 questions.
-What else will I need besides Power supply? What is the most efficient/best one to get? I've read this thread and a few keep getting suggested. Feel free to share a link.
-What else will I need to have ready when this arrives to get up and running? Is there a support thread that I may have missed. I know Ninja is busy so I don't want to bother them things I can read about.  Thanks for the help.

Looks like Ninjatech sells a  "turnkey" system, Full bitcoin kit, on their webpage.

am I missing something? double the price for a psu, paperclip, and 2 power wires?

I would think the extra cost is for the service and time setting it up; not just the psu, paperclip, and 2 power wires.
For somone new and not sure what to do, it maight make sense to go that route.

Thanks, fair enough and agreed, I was pulling my hair out trying to get some stuff working, I would have gladly paid to have it done for me

Lol ........ You again ......

Him aside are these 220 only? Any tech specs?

there is an 83 page thread that discusses this over and over. In North America you can use any power supply cord and plug it right into your normal household 110 volt plug

The obvious question is did you get a smashed one in the mail or one that works 100% out of the box like the ones I received.

On another note, I kinda wished I had initially bought more X-1's and when I went to buy more I saw that 'available on 30 Apr 2014' message and changed my mind.

Now, however, I can by more and they will all come on the same day.

Is this flawed reasoning? Is this what happens after you chase down 2 strong coffee's with a Monster drink?

I blame bitcoin addiction, I just want new hardward dammit!  Tongue

the '25%' offered was 4 months of cloud mining. 4 months?? Whaaaa???

Should it not be 25% of the hashing power we bought times the difficulty increase between promised (paid for) delivery date and actual delivery date

This way if they deliver 2 months late the increase in hashing power will keep up with difficulty.

We are, however, still out 2 months of mining time but at least the machines hashing power will be as useful as if they delivered on time.

Hello all,

We ordered some of these miners and they came to our place in Canada severely beat up. We've tried to email BTMine and tried to Skype them, but so far nothing. There are 2 of our 8 units that require a few capacitors soldered back on, and 3 machines where the blades completely snapped off the bottom of the case and can't be re-attached.

So I have a few questions:

1. Where can I purchase some new capacitors that require re-soldering?
2. The units came with 220V power supplies, and EU plugs. Can I use the power supplies here in Canada? Or do I need to swap them out? Can anyone recommend one? We don't plan on over clocking these at all.
ANSWER: Just use a regular pc power cord and plug both psu's in to regular wall socket, this works 100%. It what I did with the 3 miners in my pic above
3. How does anyone contact these people now? I've read that returns aren't be accepted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Units 2 and 3 arrived in perfect condition. Up and mining in about 3 mins.

Each one hashing away at 210-220. All 3 of mine are working 100% and zero hassles. Guess I got lucky  Cheesy

Soooo I went to fry's got a single rail 750w 56v and it spins the fan then quits on me. Does this mean that the 56 is not strong enough to power one blade and that super jet fan that comes with the miner? Does anyone know what I can get from frys that will get this thing to run.

2. I tried to connect it to my raspberry Pi and the Pi is giving me 100% error. Does anyone know the command for the Pi to see the CGminer running. I know that I can add it via that page but have no clue how to get there.

So far this machine has been a headache. I wish they would have tested it.

On top of that I can't connect to the TP Link card. I have no clue what's going on and I'm real close to getting real mad at the people that made this. I had good words for them but I'm really loosing faith. The only thing i can depend on is that the people in this forum has been great. Thanks for the helpful tips. I'm just getting close to the end of my rope.

I found this video very helpful, its the same interface

just got my miner today i ordered on the 8th

working very well Smiley, but loud...

do the temperature control parameters override the fan  settings? can i kill my miner by turning the fans to a too low speed? is it possible to run the chips safely at 1425 or 1450 with the stock psu's?

Same here, ordered on the 8th, arrived today. Opened up to check connections, all fine, I did nothing. 20 mins later Im hashing away at 214 ghash. Running off wifi, it worked instantly, I didnt have to mess with it at all other than screw in the ant.

It is MUCH quieter than I expected, my open air litecoin rigs running 7970's make way more noise.

The cases are really slick, they look and feel very industrial.

Overall I am very happy with everything, wish I bought more of them.

Time to start tweaking to squeeze a bit more out of it.
