You are the first poster I saw that never intended to bring back the scammed amount. You could have done a 50/50 deal in the first place, what stopped you from doing that. The sense of urgency made you muddle your thoughts on how to deal with someone online. The chats were red flags dude/dudette, when someone says they are not going to ruin their reputation for a couple of bucks, chances are high that they will ruin it. All of chats were red flags actually, the audacity to tell you that he won't deal a 50/50. He even wants you to delete the topic to cover his ass.

I have done many trades online on forums, I just did not really know how to proper check someone's account on this forum as I'm not that much on it, its really confusing for the new user. If it was a higher amount, I would of had used escrow for sure.

I have added my support to the flag but it needs more DT members to support it so that it can have sufficient support and become active.

Thanks for the tips guys.. I was trying to safe on YT premium and now I lost 30$. Oh well.
Another user PMer me shortly after I made this thread, I am 100% sure its him. He asked me if I was interested in the same product and said he is willing to do 50/50 and told me exactly how much btc he needs, something that loki told me because my wallet is set in euro and not usd. He speaks just like loki, I’m so sure that this is he’s other account. He even said that he is online for a few more hours, loki said that as well the same way. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2820933
You are right about that user, he just opposed the flag.

The accounts the opposed the created flags are very much likely to be the scammer's alts. Keep an eye on them.

1. Floatingboat
2. iwutitan

Yup they both pmed me right after.

One other thing you can do (if he doesn't refund you or finish the deal within whatever time frame) is add a flag to his account. I would add the type 2 or 3 flag about implied or written contract. That will cause a red (reddish) box to show up at the top of every thread he started that says "Warning: One or more bitcointalk.org users have reported that they strongly believe that the creator of this topic is a scammer." It looks like this. Just use this thread as your reference thread when making the flag.

I see. Just created a flag 2.

Yeah, such people try to prey on desperate victims and scam them more funds. Tell him no escrow, no deal.
I could help tag this account too only if there is solid proof of a link between the 2 profiles. OP can you please open a type 1 flag on the scammer's profile? I will support it.

I think I did that. He is currently online and no reply from him so its a scam for sure.

Yeah sorry i bought a new macbook recently and im still trying to get used to everything lol. I think he scammed me because he said he would be online for hours and he went offline straight away.. plus in the beginning i asked if this was available for a instant trade and he said yes. He will prob come up with some bs about how impatient I am and because i reported him, that he now doesnt wanna trade anymore and refund me.. lol really sad tbh.

I also noticed that he changed the email on hes bitcointalk right after he received my funds basically.. so thats also a red flag.

Just read this

Security benefits and risks
Just as the PIN is used to protect your device, we can say that the passphrase serves as second-factor protection for your seed.

It only exists in your head
Because the passphrase is not stored anywhere on the device, it is impervious to any attacks involving physical access and tampering with the chip. Furthermore, if somebody compromised your physical copy of the recovery seed, they still would not be able to access your passphrase protected wallet unless they knew the passphrase.

This password? https://imgur.com/a/QiF6Yxl

I have trezor black it says, bought it two years ago or so
36  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: trezor wallet questions on: September 09, 2020, 10:31:25 PM
Thank you but I dont understand your answer on my first question

If I have a pin only added to my trezor and I lose this pin I can simply recover my wallet with my seed and use the funds right?
but if I have a pin and a password on the trezor, then I could recover it but I wouldnt be able to spend my funds because i dont know the password. Is that correct?
37  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / trezor wallet questions on: September 09, 2020, 10:17:09 PM
Just got a few questions regarding the trezor hardware wallet.

1) If you forget the pin, you can still recover the account with all the funds in them with the recovery seed right. But if you forget the password then you cannot, right. Is this correct?
2) I click on my account on the web wallet, I see a receiving segwit adres. Can I keep on re-using this adres as in sending 10+ in a month transactions to it and everything will be fine as in receiving the funds on my trezor wallet?
3) how can I view private keys of the wallets that are in the trezor and how can I add a bitcoins adres private key myself into trezor?

thanks
38  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain second password on: September 03, 2020, 07:30:00 AM
Yes for ledger; and basically more than that, most hardware wallets will prompt you to "confirm" in the hardware device itself (to sign) a transaction in order to send it.

Ok great thanks thats what im looking for. Is the ledger nano s enough to do that? I dont seem to understand why the x version is double in price, is it worth it?
39  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain second password on: September 03, 2020, 07:24:53 AM
Hi, no im sure they deleted in months ago you can check yourself. The whole second password section is gone, I even tried opening new accounts, gone and also customer support confirmed its gone. I have a trezor wallet somewhere bought it 2-3 years ago, i will look for it but I just honestly didnt like the layout back then so I stopped using it, is ledger easier to use? more user friendly?
Hmm, that's weird, how come I can see that quoted text right now?
My dummy account is in my second tab and I'm looking at that feature that's turned on.

Here's the screenshot:

Maybe they kept in for old accounts, that's a bummer then.

Yeah I had that as well but once I deleted it, so that I could setup a new one the option was gone forever.
40  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain second password on: September 03, 2020, 07:22:44 AM
What im basically looking for is a wallet, like ledger

Where I can login with a password or pin but then also to be another password/pin (second password) just for spending. Can the ledger do this?
