Do they mean Bitcoin's market cap will be greater than Facebook.
Hopefully they mean popularity instead, I mean number of people using it. Is Bitcoin ready for Billion of users actively using it ?

It is always nice to have bigger competetion in cloud mining, it means lower prices for us

We buy bitcoin to sell it. This is what you do. There are other uses with Bitcoin, and not only buying dark stuff.

I believe Coins generally benifit long term from a better infrastructure only, pumps are helpfull only to those who sell before the price is corrected

I could bite my own butt... I already heared something about bitcoins in 2009, too. First, I thought its like a joke, a proof of concept thing that would never be worth anything. Then, in 2013 this currency became so popular.. I know someone irl who is now a millionaire because he was such a nerd and started investing in bitcoins early enough. If there would be a possibility to travel time backwards, I would use it to invest in bitcoins early enough ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) So you still think Bitcoin is useless and you just see the investing potential ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

So im new user from US, i study psychology. Just saying Hi. Im wondering, is there any major stores where i can buy something with bitcoin? Like amazon.
You may check Bitcoin merchants here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade

I dont think Bitcoin success can be repeated with any altcoin. Not many people know about Bitcoin and even less use it, so I believe Bitcoin is still in early stage

Maybe be a bit late to the original post but I would go for Anoncoin all the way.
It's particularly cheap at the moment and won't be for so long!
The question is, will it become valueble and how? The only way how it could become valuable is many others buying the Anoncoin ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Any time high would be around 500. The US senate hearing helped Bitcoin adoption as well

Now is a great time to invest as BTC has been at its lowest for a while. Can't see it going any lower unless there's a catastrophic event.
Catastrophic event ? All you need is some bad news, China as example 2 times this month

Hey everyone, total newb here. So I've got some PHS in my wallet and I'm wondering what I need to do to get this 50% interest. I clicked the link for the guide on the page describing PHS, but it takes you to a guide for PPC. Do I need to do anything to the wallet or with .conf files and .bat files or anything like that for PHS? Or do I just need to have the coins sitting in the wallet and open the wallet every few days? The reason I ask is that I don't see an icon in the bottom right of the PHS wallet that says anything about the wallet being encrypted or locked for block minting or whatever, which is supposed to be the confirmation for PPC that you are, in fact, generating PoS coins. Thanks!
I believe you must have the qt client running and synchronized

I asked the pretty petite girl donning the usual metal, once only saved for earlobes, if they took Bitcoin. Nice job, but telling who you are on bitcointalk is bit cocky.

1) I found out that the website www.bitaddress.org is the most simple way to generate a bitcoin address and a private key. However, it's a website accessed by the internet and by using a web browser, using an operating system. From my mind, the most secure way of generating bitcoin addresses with the private keys, is on a standalone computer, with no internet access and without any wifi/bluetooth adapters in it. Is there a way to generate my own bitcoin addresses with private keys on a standalone computer ? After that I will print out all the output to paper and destroy the standalone computer.Ha, reminds me of movie "Mission impossible" ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Remove HDD and boot OS from live CD. No need to destroy the computer this way unless your very paranoid ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Like running a miner is hard ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) It is not, but difficulty means how difficult it is to mine Bitcoin now

Obviously I don't understand what "change" means. Can someone please explain it to me in a simple fashion! Thanks.
Consider your shopping cost $80 but you have only $100 bill. Obviously the change will be $20 bill ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Sell some Bitcoins and keep the rest for future. Register at localbitcoins and become seller
|
|
|
Test it first on some new coin with small difficulty, so you know you doing it right

For those who had Bitcoins right before the Chinese Government's announcement this week and didn't sell them right after the announcement, why didn't you? I'm just curious. If you think you will always see profit trading, your wrong. This time you was lucky, so cheer it
