21  Other / Off-topic / Re: The function of religion ? on: December 28, 2017, 05:19:04 AM
I'm an atheist and have the following standpoint:

 - All religions are hoaxes, making people belive in non-existing gods.

Religions serve the following purposes:

1. Making people have some comfort in their lives, having something else than themselves to pray to and look up to. This is mostly culturrally dependent,
most people adhere to the religion were they grew up, and what was ingrained in them from early childhood.

2. To keep uneducated people in control.

3. To keep power and control in a central position.

If religion was all about love to your God, and it was all a mental thing, there would be no need for churches, and all accessories that goes with a religion.

It's sad that a God-fearing man goes regularily to church to get closer to his maker. He could've been just as close to his God in his couch at home.

Many religious entities collect money, and are rather greedy, there are internal battles about power and control, just think of the Vatican.

I think it's rather sad that in 2012, so many people put their belief in something that doesn't exist. You may pray, and you may feel that your prayers were heard,
and things turn for the better in your life, but most of the time, the prayers are futile, and the only one that can change anything in your life is yourself.

States need to separate themselves from religion, and any religious society needs to take care of itself. Many religious societies does serve a good purpose in their
municipality, and there's nothing wrong with that,  and I do respect anyone that has their faith, but I don't think there's any God of any sorts, and people need to take
responsibility for their own lives.

Will the earth ever come to a point where people are so educated that they understand that science is the only true answer, and that everything else is fairytales ?

As much as I respect any Christian or any devoted religious person from any other religion (I may think his belief is a joke, but I would never say it to his face to force a confrontation in disrespect), I don't think any religions should have any special protection under the law.

Part of the problem is that Religion is so ingrained into the culture of most countries, that many people don't even question it.

Education will put the power in the hands of the people to learn about the world around them, and will remove the power of the leaders of their religion over them.

As an atheist, I don't think your religion defines whether you're a good person or not, that's more down to the person itself, and the values you've been taught in your upbringing, and what you've learned through your education.

Now, with the recent uproar about the 'Innocence of Muslims'-movie, people shouldn't get upset about it. If they don't like it, they should simply ignore it, and don't speak of it. Killing people, making riots etc. and claim that it's because of this movie, this is not right. People are always responsible for what they do.

If I were a Christian, and someone mocked my religion and called me a religious fool, and I got angry and burned down their house, that would be completely unacceptable by me, and I would need to take the full penalty for it.

Some people say we should not provoke 'islam' through cartoons, movies etc. And this may seem like the easy way out. But what if we continously bombarded Islam with this material, would they keep rioting every day of the week, every week, every month and every year, or would they finally sit down and say to themselves: "I'm tired of fighting, I can be a good muslim, no matter what any people say about my religion".

Islam doesn't receive more goodwill by having it's followers react like this, I would think most sivilized people just seeing this for what it is; outright crimes. Also I think a lot of the people that we see rioting in the streets, are only using this movie as an excuse for acting like they do.

Is there a single other Religion in the world were the members would've reacted like this over a movie ?

What do you all think ?

That's is your personal believe and that can't change the fact that there is God in existence. I am a Christian I worship and serve God because I believe he exist.

Every religion believe there is a supreme being some call him God while some him deity or otherwise. You may not believe in supreme being but note your critics can change our believe system.

We are educated and in control of our business/career, family , thought and social life. Salvation is a personal thing and  Way to eternity is not a group journey. No Clergy man keep anybody under control except governments. We have access to the scriptures the clergy  preaches we read and understand what is written and we ask question if we discover something contrary

Who keep power in central control, which power where is the central control or who are you controlling. Mr. Man don't stay afar to condemn. If you dibt believe in God that is your personal problem.

23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: December 28, 2017, 04:33:58 AM
Bitcoin in college could be unrealistic for now in my country because its not yet a generally acceptable means of exchange, just few people are aware and reading bitcoin and other currencies. The big bitcoiners need to first invest money creating awareness and training young people on it before you know Govt will beging to develop interest in it. Colleges needs to first begin to accept bitcoin as an option to paying fees in the college.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: December 27, 2017, 10:14:04 PM
Bitcoin right now keeps on increasing its value, and many more cryptocurrencies are occurring.
Do you think someday bitcoin will end or will be replace by other cryptocurrencies?

Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance that bitcoin will be down?

I think the first question is has bitcoin reach  Its peak or is bitcoin a crime which am sure the answer to both questions is no. In as much bitcoin is not a crime I don't see it ending though some countries can ban it or may not adopt it as a means of exchange that dies not mean it will end. Bitcoin is still thriving so it will be out of place to begin to consider it ending so soon.

The first five(5) years we will distribute 1,500,000KMC to community members for their exceptional participation and promotion of the platform while the remaining will be distributed over the remaining five years.

Our Story
Kemfe evolved from bitzamp as an online telegram channel class that teaches cryptocurrency trading and investing. Our class grew in number by the day as a lot of people want to learn how to make money from trading and investing in cryptocurrency. In the cause of our teaching, we discovered two set of people:
Those that want to understand what cryptocurrencies are and possibly be active traders/investors in the industry.

Those who just need trade recommendation to leverage on and make money for themselves.

Satisfying these two classes of people was overwhelming for us because of different time zones. Along the line these two questions came to our mind
What if there is an online platform dedicated to helping people achieve financial freedom?

What if we build a platform that financial/business experts will use to be able to reach a good number of audiences in order to educate, train, and impact their wealth of experiences on them in order to help them achieve financial freedom?<

In order to answer these two questions, Kemfe was born. We believe that there are people who are experts and more professionals than us that can satisfy these classes of people who are aiming at achieving financial freedom through trading and investing in the cryptocurrency space and other ventures.

26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoins taxable? on: December 27, 2017, 11:09:11 AM
Exchanges or purchases of virtual currencies represent the business risk of investors and investors' money are not protected. ... There is no capital gains tax chargeable on bitcoin, however bitcoin mining is taxed and businesses selling goods/services in bitcoin are also taxed.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you donate Bitcoin for the poor and needy? on: December 27, 2017, 11:00:35 AM
Donating bitcoin to the poor is like giving l him a private jet without some millions dollars to maintain it. Where will he get money to maintain the jet. I will rather convert the bitcoin to physical cash and give him or enlighten him on how to trade bitcoin and get more money. I will  teach fishing and stop feeding him with fishes.
28  Other / Off-topic / Re: If bitcoin goes to zero on: December 27, 2017, 08:55:57 AM
Some of the things that make bitcoin crash to zero is if other alt coins rises up which is good for investors anyway, exchange rate can kill bitcoin and Government policies can Also affect the value of bitcoin. If its as a result of other coin coming up or exchange rate its not a big deal it will create more business opportunities for investors to diversify to other coins and make more money though the bitcoiners will bear a great loss and  regret.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the invention of the century! on: December 27, 2017, 08:49:04 AM
Bitcoin is indeed the invention of the century, it synergies different people from different country together without seeing each other physically, regardless age, class or status, making money trading and transfer convenient and easy. Bitcoin has really open the eyes of many to great opportunities they had never thought of accessing very early in life.

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: December 27, 2017, 04:21:46 AM
Bitcoin has become a global phenomenon, its exponential rise can be track on several more social media platforms. Such as Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, Bitcointalk.org and Reddit discuss cryptocurrency frequently.  announcements of new coins, analysis and discussions take place on these online forums and this has tremendously affected Bitcoin positively

Bitcoin businesses and news outlets, to name a few, run their organizations with Slack and Telegram.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: December 26, 2017, 02:50:52 PM
My greatest fear as for now is tendencies to see bitcoin crashes or bitcoiners rushing out to convert their bitcoin to US dollars like what happened in December 2013 when Bitcoin first hit $1,000. I hope this time it is different though. Many are already converting their bitcoin to cash and this is leading to the decrement in the value
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: December 25, 2017, 03:08:13 PM
I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Bitcoin can be advertised on the TV station to sensitize many more people who are yet to know or who want to authenticate the reality of it. In my own country many big bitcoiners are already taking to the media houses to have a live show and discussion on cryptocurrences. Also sponsoring big shows with bitcoin logo at the top of the screen make people to begin to believe in it. Seeing is believing
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: December 23, 2017, 09:05:35 PM
Bitcoin bridges the gap between the rich and the poor. It gives opportunity to be rich. Bitcoin has given me investment mindset and opportunity to meet people and transact business with foreigners that have not even seen before.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked on: December 23, 2017, 08:33:06 PM
Bitcoins are held in wallets and traded through digital currency exchanges like Coinbase. There are various security risks inherent in each of these two components. Developers are always improving wallet security, but there are also those looking to access other peoples' wallets illegally to swipe their tokens and coins. In the transaction process. two-factor identification is commonly used as a security measure. Of course, having the security of a transaction linked to an email address or a cell phone number means that anyone with access to those components can authenticate transactions. If a hacker is able to determine some of your non-cryptocurrency-related personal information, he or she may be able to infiltrate your transactions in that space regardless.

36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: December 22, 2017, 09:04:04 AM
What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

To bitcoiners who think no government would take the extreme step of banning Bitcoin need to to back to history. There was a time when holding gold bullion was a crime in America, punishable by a sentence of up to ten years in prison. In 1933, American President Franklin D Roosevelt issued an order requiring all Americans to hand over their gold holdings to the Federal Reserve Bank. The ban on owning gold remained in place for more than four decades, before President Ford legalized gold ownership. This move was made easy by the fact that America had abandoned the gold standard a short while prior and hence had no need to own vast quantities of gold to back up the amount of currency it printed. Therefore if the government of a country put a ban on bitcoin today there is no big deal life continues though we may loose bitcoiners from that country but there will still ve a way of doing business with them.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Christmas And BTC? on: December 22, 2017, 07:59:06 AM
Christmas has a lot of effect on BTC, its a season of gifting, shopping, partying e.t.c. people need money to take of some of these items, they would want to send money to their aged people so many want to sell bitcoin to meet this needs, this could lead to stability or drop in the growth of BTC till January. But this is the best time to buy because it might skyrocket in January 2018
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: December 22, 2017, 07:50:29 AM
Your investment in bitcoin and other altcoins is the determinant. It is not a wise decision to quit your job to settle down for BTC when your investment is still minimal. Also ask yourself can my investment in bitcoin foot all my bills on daily basis and still have a savings have you even ask what is the future of BTC and others. So I will advice you not to be in haste to take such decision
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoin different from alt coins? on: December 21, 2017, 07:31:48 PM
Can we expect altcoins to reach the success of Bitcoin? and how long would it take? what are success metrics?

It is not easy to compare one on one these coins but Bitcoin is in no way superior technically speaking (and some times it can easily be considered worse!).

Technically speaking most innovations happen in altcoins since it is both:

easier -- they don't have to support compatibility with the large infrastructure that Bitcoin has nor convince so many people for a change
and safer -- not so much money at stake
Having said that, the altcoin experimentation have greatest risks, could lead to new unexpected attacks and so on. Bitcoin learns from altcoins and can implement some of the features (some cannot without overhauling the system) in the future if they prove successful without risking much.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: December 21, 2017, 05:42:22 PM
Money is a term used by economists for something that does three things (which I'll briefly explain in a moment):

A store of value
A medium of exchange
A unit of account

BitCoin meets all three conditions -

You can acquire some and keep them, and they'll still be worth what they used to be (in the same way that a dollar is still worth a dollar, not that it'll still buy what a dollar used to.) That is to say, it's a store of value.
You can buy things with them. Not everyone will accept them, but you're probably going to have better luck finding someone to sell you a laptop for BitCoins than you are for Zim Dollars, despite the fact that Zimbabwe has a government.
You can price things in them, and they are fungible - that's to say that your BitCoin and my BitCoin are worth the same as each other. It's not like trying to trade in, say, oil paintings - people might accept a given Rembrandt for a given Picasso, but no-one would say "you can have my Turner seascape for (any) three Picassos." This makes them a unit of account.
