Yes kind sir, I would appriciate the help.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] HoloToken (HOT): Holo The Distributed Hosting Platform on: March 05, 2018, 03:44:10 AM
So Holochain isn't related to Blockchain at all?
Is it just using a different techonology since it doesn't use POW or POS?
Also does this mean its not possible to get your Holotoken to get listed on exchanges?
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Is NANO (RaiBlocks) the best currency in crypto? on: March 01, 2018, 04:01:27 AM
Is NANO really the best crypto(currency) right now? As in pure currency, since it contains almost instant transcations speeds, has up to 7000 tx/s, no transaction fees, every wallet has a blockchain of its own and a very easy to set up a Node with the wallet meaning more decentralized network.

This puts it ahead of XRP in terms of decentralization, as well as XLM in tx/s and fee's. It basically should be able to replace Bitcoin since its better than it in every single way. Am I wrong? Are there downsides to NANO?

Arguments was there's no incentive to run a node on the NANO network but its very easy, simple and almost no cost to set up within the wallet.

The nodes on the lighting network don't look "completely decentralised" to me, if you look at the live view of the lighting network nodes you can see a lot of centralization on the nodes with mostly 9 nodes connecting the 873 nodes together.

So you don't know what decentralised means. A picture often helps.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/ba/Centralised-decentralised-distributed.png

And the "off-chain transactions" means the lightning network doesn't opperate on the blockchain right?

That's the point, Bitcoin is way ahead of the altcoins in making this possible.

Any reason it can't be distributed then?
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgrades on: February 25, 2018, 04:38:36 PM
Isn't Lighting Network more of a centralized solution and not part of the Bitcoin blockchain but a third party application?

No, it is completely decentralised. It is a layer 2 application which uses Segwit to enable off-chain transactions and there are currently 3 variations of software available, all open source.
This is why Bitcoin is already far ahead of the altcoin competitors.

Why don't the developers just update Bitcoin like any other normal altcoin on the market?
because bitcoin is decentralized and it is not like a centralized shitcoin which the owner aka the developer decides one day that he wants something and implements it in the morning and everyone either don't give a shit or have to follow.

Quote
For example give Bitcoin an update for larger block sizes, faster transactions speeds, privacy features, more transactions per second, lower fee's and maybe add in smart contracts.
all of these are already implemented!
- capacity increase through Segregated Witness and other solutions that are on the way.
- faster and cheaper and also more privacy and more TPS and no fees through lightning network
- smart contracts through side chains for free unlike ETH,...

Isn't Lighting Network more of a centralized solution and not part of the Bitcoin blockchain but a third party application?

Anyone looked at their smart contract yet? It should be able to tell when the lock is lifted, right?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / The Satoshi Scheme on: February 05, 2018, 06:39:49 PM
Did Satoshi Nakamoto finally decide to sell off a little part of his Bitcoins tanking the whole market in the proccess?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Thoughts on these ICOS on: February 04, 2018, 12:37:12 PM
I want some insight on these upcoming ICOs, and if anyone is going to invest what do you think of it before I throw in some of my Ethereum. I'm already invested into Neuromation and WePower, so I'll see how that goes in the up coming weeks.

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ABT] ArcBlock - BORN FOR BLOCKCHAIN 3.0 on: January 31, 2018, 10:54:49 PM
There's a lot of red flags with this ICO when I looked into it.

It hasen't got a base, no code to prove they've actually started, excuses was they're doing it in a closed source project developement style where as almost all ICOs are open source and free for people to view the code and contribute / help out. I don't see a reason why they wouldn't make their project development open source. A reason like people stealing the code isn't a good excuse either because if you believe in your project to be successful then you have nothing to worry about.

Founder/CEO has a past as an entrepreneur with 4 businesses in the past, 2 of which was sold and one of them didn't go well according to what the CEO said. This could imply that this ICO is just a money grab and they might not deliver or produce the project poorly.

ALL the media mentions on their website when ArcBlock listed them wasen't true at all, CEO/Founder of ArcBlock even verifyed this during their AMA with Ian, saying that they did talk with the interviewers and that they haven't posted the articles about ArcBlock yet. The CEO said if he could do their marketing differently he wouldn’t of put those Media claimed coverage on their website before it was published, in short there was no article of them being mentioned.

Parnterships with IBM isn't what it seem like it seems to be, ArcBlock sighned up with a programm with cloud IBM which he said it himself that “anyone” could join and this makes them a partner. So it wasn’t a partnership you see with Stellar and IBM. I'm pretty sure IBM doesn't even know that ArcBlock is using their name and Logo on their website for that matter.

They only listed 4 people on their team with an excuse of not wanting to disrupt anyone on the team by putting them up on the website and only wanted to list the key members. This is a very weak excuse and why would it distrube the development team members if you listed them on the website? All ICO project did this, implies they're trying to hide something.

In conclusion ArcBlock CEO/Founder doesn't seem to have much transparency with us the communiity, unless what they claim is actually true and they aren't trying to obscure or hide anything. This makes ArcBlock ICO with a $45,000,000 starting marketcap a risky one to take as its a pretty large one at that and even further more risker as a long term hold.

I'm hesitant as to invest into this ICO. To sum this up the CEO/Founder might just be using this ICO as a cash grab, media mentions are none existant at the time it was listed on ArcBlock's website. Can't evaluate if ArcBlock can claim what they promise due to no listings of their whole team, if there is anymore than 4 people. Partnerships seems exagerated.

This is FUD because it is fear, uncertainty and doubt, which is what I felt when I looked into it and the responses I gathered on their reddit and AMA youtube video. I'm only trying to be honest here. Though I'm not saying this ICO won't make you money if you invest into it. Would like some thoughts on this.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Real crash, all of my optional pairs are slumping right now!! on: January 16, 2018, 11:13:51 AM
Altcoins go up 1000%+ over the course of 1 month, people sell altcoins for massive stacks of Bitcoin, they then sell their massive stacks of Bitcoin to Fiat. This results in the altcoins and Bitcoin dropping in price. This is my guess, I've already sold off almost all my altcoins a few days ago because I feared something like this would happen and its also really important to protect your gains especially when you're already up massive amounts.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Neuromation ICO on: January 14, 2018, 11:02:42 PM
What are your thoughts on the Neuromation ICO? Its platform is dated to come out at the 15th of Febuary which is the same time they unlock the tokens to allow trading on exchanges.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining with Nicehash the best? on: January 10, 2018, 01:29:42 PM
It's not the best, because you're selling your hashing power, someone who buys it naturally has to make some profit, right? It's certainly the easiest solution for beginners though and less of a hassle than checking what's the most profitable coin to mine everyday and switching manually.
You get the most of your money using nicehash from what I've heard since it automatically mines the most profitable coin and in return gives you Bitcoin.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining with Nicehash the best? on: January 10, 2018, 01:01:09 PM
As in the topic title is mining using Nicehash the best? It provides you the best current profitable coin meaning you'll be making more money than if you would be mining an individual coin. People mine certain coins to speculate on their price in the future, but wouldn't it just be best to use nicehash then buy the coin you are speculating on since you'll have more of that coin using tthe BTC you have from nicehash?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO question on: January 10, 2018, 06:14:19 AM
If the ICO token remains at the same price or goes lower, then yes it does. However if the ICO token goes higher than ethereum did (proportionally) then you would have made money
So the same would apply if I bought Ethereum at $1000 and it goes down to $800?
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / ICO question on: January 10, 2018, 04:37:40 AM
If for example I bought Etheruem at $1000 and used it to purchase some ICO tokens, then Ethereum goes to $1300, does that mean I lost value?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neblio-bright future ??? on: January 09, 2018, 08:14:33 AM
This coin deserves a minimum of 1 Billion marketcap at least, their update is pretty big it adds in token burns on transactions, smart contracts and many other updates and features I don't even understand much since I'm not very technical.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just bought 7 new altcoins... and stuck with BCH, Opinions? on: January 05, 2018, 04:22:22 AM
It seems as though you bought those coins at a very high price if you bought them yesterday. I'm still holding onto my altcoins but buying coins when they went up 300%+ is kinda risky, though not to say you can't make profits. As a trader I can expect a big pull back if there's a big sell off for investors to take profit. Not saying it will happen, but just my expereience as a trader in a past.
