Is NANO (RaiBlocks) the best currency in crypto?

Is NANO really the best crypto(currency) right now? As in pure currency, since it contains almost instant transcations speeds, has up to 7000 tx/s, no transaction fees, every wallet has a blockchain of its own and a very easy to set up a Node with the wallet meaning more decentralized network.

This puts it ahead of XRP in terms of decentralization, as well as XLM in tx/s and fee's. It basically should be able to replace Bitcoin since its better than it in every single way. Am I wrong? Are there downsides to NANO?

Arguments was there's no incentive to run a node on the NANO network but its very easy, simple and almost no cost to set up within the wallet.

Nano/RaiBlocks is unique not just because of its current speed and zero transaction fees is that it is infinitely scalable (limited only by internet speed).

Its advantage is that even though presently other low MCAP altcoins may have low transaction fees and fast speed too (considering their low volume atm); they will likely struggle once they have to handle the number of transactions that BTC and ETH does.

The architecture of Nano on the other overcomes this issue altogether (while coins like BCash and Litecoin merely delays the issue until a particular "LIMIT" is reached) -- Maintaining its transaction speed and zero fees even as more people starts using it.

Furthermore, coins with mining-reliance, IMO, are not environmentally sustainable in the far longer term, if it is to be eventually adopted by a large portion of the world population, etc.

The downside is that it isn't truly decentralized (from what I have been told and read) and that will hurt you long term. Now that seems like a problem that is technical and solvable but then again every advantage Nano has on Bitcoin is too. For that reason I argue Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency, and it will take a lot to usurp Bitcoin from that throne.

There are a number of coins that seem better than bitcoin
or can perform bdtter than bitcoin but it comes down to adoption.

Its looking like there is nothing that can topple bitccoin.

Look at litecoin for example, it outperformed bitcoin in 2017
but it will never take the no. 1 spot.

Look at Ethereum as it becomes more successful its network
struggles and it is a long way off taking the top spot.

It is good and technology is definitely better than btc but with the recent scalability solutions and segwit applied by the btc developers the big issues seem to be sorted out big time, also do not forget about lightening network that will make btc transactions even faster and cheaper.

It is a really great currency, but I think it is not the best of the world.. It has the potential to be one of the top 5 currencies in the next 3-4 years in my eyes. The people will love tangle coins as soon as Bitcoin hits 50k USD

For transaction purposes it's the best in my eyes, which puts it among the best out there, to say it's the best isn't fair though, many other coins offer amazing solutions like the platform coins for example

I agree that NANO is one of the best coin now. they have many strengths like: transactions is almost instant, no fee, Good scalability, power saving....
However NANO also defect like:
- NANO's privacy is less than Bitcoin
- Business co-operation is also not prioritized and promoted.
- NANO is not listed on many exchange sites.
But with strengths of NANO i believe that they will soon reach $100 in this year

Most coins are faster, cheaper and better than bitcoin should they replace bitcoin too ? No, I don't think so, nothing will replace bitcoin in the next 5 years atleast. Bitcoin will probably have the lightning network soon, this will make the transactions instant and nearly free.

The point is that Bitcoin core devs are limited by their underlying tech to what they can and cant do. Nano is designed from the ground up in an entirely different set of tech.

Many coins have very fast transactions and low transaction fees, even some coins are more decentralized than bitcoin. But they cannot bitcoin and so the best currency.

Not really bitcoin is the best currency not only by means of adoption. Nano is aiming to defeat the bitcoin and if it would happen then Nano will be the best currency. That's seems so impossible bitcoin will be having a lightning network but let see what nano can do.

Many coins have very fast transactions and low transaction fees, even some coins are more decentralized than bitcoin. But they cannot bitcoin and so the best currency.

I cant really deny NANO ( raiblocks) former XRB which do really have fast confirmation and do have no fee which is really a very an interesting thing but same as being said we do see lots of coins which do have similar feature but we do know the fact that beating up bitcoin into the top spot would really be a struggle for them. being the best currency or crypto wont really be easily to be attained.

Absolutely not, best currency is btc than eth. If you are talking about best projects I'd tell you MCO, BURST and IOTA

Among the best on the scalability coins. It looks like NANO facing another problem with bitgrail. And this is not the best currency. DAG is only fix the scalability of blockchain it's not even a blockchain system. I guess nano just another pump and dump currency without any reasonable use than becomes instant payment currency.

Nano is a great Project for sure. Good team, a lot of benefits on the platform etc. But telling that any coin is the best.. it is a bit wrong approach, as different coins are made for different purposes. Diversify your bags!
