Just had to stop by and say well done . Glad I bought 11 million when it was super cheap for just a few $ a few months ago . Planning to hold for a very long time.

(to the newbies) - please be careful and do not fall for a IPO scam. ALWAYS use escrow . We have trusted escrow, we are not a scammers. "You can send us directly the amount to this adress: 1FtMD3jz3Yhobt1JSBs2FzGiPcBKtNeWfW" It's baltently a scam. If it wasn't you would ONLY accept investments through escrow. This is how scammers get you, they say "oh no, it's not a scam look we have escrow" so people trust you and then send you the money directly as they would rather not pay escrow fees on something they 'know' is not a scam. If you have to take part in an IPO guys, ALWAYS use escrow, however I would avoid any IPO that allows you to give money directly to the dev with no middle man.

So why did some people not use escrow? What was the reason for it?
Escrow fees.

That's what I was thinking. Easy for a mod to give out the IP address's of the account. If indeed there is an FBI investigation then will want this information.

But I still feel this coin should be re-launched because of the 200m 'lost' coins. Relaunch it and then give away the coins fairly, once they have been distributed fairly then it may stand somewhat of a chance, right now it will die because of the lost coins.
No need to change the name. No need to change the website, or anything for that matter. Just bring up the coin in its original form (100% premine) and start again. It would be a more fair distribution now as a lot more people know about it, and most certainly extend the distribution to a lot more than 500. Find how many active members of the community exist, get the total number of coins and divide it by #members.
So who is with me on the re-launch? or are we going to promote a coin that could potentially see a huge dump in the future when the dev sell that 20% in one day? He may have genuinely lost them, by why take that risk when it's so easy to launch a new coin? As I said, the coin already exists, it just can be reset, the website already exists, just update the wallet to the new one, the community already exists...
relaunch??? not a good idea i think, how about those who buy the coins in the exchange? the coins is doing fine, we will just monitor the lost coins as much as we can. What's the point of that? It's like monitoring a tank saying "don't worry, i'll stop it if it fires". What will you do if he decides to dump all his coins on all exchanges within the space of an hour? Nothing. There is nothing anyone can do then except watch their own coin value disappear into nothingness and watch the dev become rich. well, if you monitor them and they start to disappear (or new ones appear from minting, you will know someone access the wallet...), you will know it is time to sell yours No, you wont. Coins can be dumped within the hour when you are asleep in bed, or at work etc... Don't be fooled thinking that monitoring the wallet means anything.

I hate to say it as many others have pointed this out, but I did warn you guys earlier (check my posts in this thread) and most of you ripped my head off telling me to leave if I didn't like it. I was just trying to help newer members who are new on the cryptocurrency scene that this was, most likely 99.9% a scam.
Still, if you used escrow with a trustworthy member you should still be ok. I feel bad for the people who directly invested, of which there will be many I am sure.
IPO's will continue to scam people for many years to come, and although many of you will learn, there will always be people who are new to the scene and do not have experience with IPO's and will fall for it, unless people like us come in and warn them and point out to them it is a scam. I know you will end up getting shouted out for doing it, but i'd rather not see vulnerable new community members being ripped off, it's not the community spirit we have here at bitcointalk.

Chris it is not just dev who is staking ppl and bringing them into CommunityCoin, I sent you 100,000 of my 1 million stake. Welcome to the Community!
Thank you so much. Despite me missing out on the give-away, you gave me 10% of your stake. Perhaps this coin will do well if more people adopt this attitude to regulars in the community with their 1m stake . Again, thank you. If I do end up getting 1m (im on the waiting list, in case anyone is black listed) I will give away 50% of my stake to 10 people (50k each).

What a complete and utter farce this coin is. I signed up days ago to get my free coins and I am clearly an active member of this community, and now it looks like all coins have been given away. This doesn't seem like a fair community coin for me as most of the community were never given any coins. 2nd delivery completed Bullshit. How long did that take? A few weeks? Should have kept going over 6 months or so at least, and should have counted roughly how many active members exist in this community and divided the total number of coins by that value. There are a LOT more than 500 active members in this community. Dear Community: we have to report an incident to you. This morning one of our team members computer had a hard-drive failure, and as a consequence many files were lost including one of our COMM coin depot wallet, with approximately 196.8 mil COMMs in it. Despite all efforts we are not able to recover the wallet, and unfortunately no backup was made for this wallet (while we made backups for other wallets, this one was somehow missed as it was created later than others). Yeah, right. You just happened to loose it did you so you can no longer give away coins, even though at first you stressed this was a fair launch, with nobody having more than another person (to start) including the devs. This was all lies to push up the value of your coins. Just you guys wait for this coin to get on an exchange. As soon as it does you will see a little dump here and a little dump there. They will rinse this coin dry with their HUGE 20% pre-mine. Too bad because I liked the name, but the picture wasn't big enough. You can't expect a coin to do well when its main purpose is to serve the community of a tiny forum on the internet and the initial distribution was to 500 individuals. Nobody will buy into that.

After finally getting my miner set up, I started mining on this and as soon as I went to bed it went down. I ended up getting 1 accepted all night. Ugh. I'll change pool.

No, you don't use cgminer. It says that you need it on talesfromthescrypt but it won't work. You need sphminer (a modded cgminer compatible with X11 algo) Download it here: https://mega.co.nz/#!uAp12DYa!vhfp1wDb43mB1KCo_5ZfwXehYhBXeKcVYWbmkTB2ldg (if you are on windows)
Now once you have downloaded the miner, extract the files to a new folder. In that new folder (the one with all of the files in it) right click > New > Text Document Copy & paste this in: GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 sgminer -k darkcoin -o stratum+tcp://vc.us.talesfromthescrypt.org:5329 -u <username>.<worker_name> -p <Worker_Password> timeout=30 then, File > save as Save it as Miner.bat (remember to take out the .txt) DON'T make it "miner.bat.txt" Now to launch the miner, click on Miner.bat (not the .txt document) wait for "started sgminer, kernel darkcoin is experimental" to go away And you should be mining. If it doesn't go away in the first 20 seconds then try again until it works. To make it mine faster, type "G" then "I" and set the intensity (I recommend 19 for the best hash/s) then press enter and then the spacebar. Thank you so much, this worked . Finally I can mine this coin . This should be put in the OP.

The youtube video linked in the op "This video has been removed because its content violated YouTube's Terms of Service."
I listed the the interview when it came out and I saw nor heard anything that would violate their terms of service. In fact, I didn't know you could violate their ToS so long as it wasn't either pornographic, or in violation of copyright.

You guys do know this is a scam right?
That's your unfounded opinion Let me guess, your next move is to 'extend the IPO'? If this works then it will be the first IPO (to my knowledge) that has not been a scam. If it is not a scam it will die a quick death (within a few years, but more likely in a few months). People don't want to use a coin that was sold off in high volume to the highest bidders at the early stage. This is a currency not a stock. People will never learn.

Just a quick question, is round 2 over? Hopefully not as I entered when it was still running/signups yet I have not received anything .
