I agree with you, I suggest everyone to stay away from risky things such as Gambling because it is all about luck and you will probably end up empty handed especially if it becomes an addiction and the negative effects increase then you will bound to lose your time, money and even family and wake up one day and realize how stupid you were to count on unsafe and dicey ways to get profits.

Well, everything has a good side and a bad side, the good one is that the merit system is kinda helping to clean up the forum, shitposters will be soon rushing out to leave since the rank up is becoming hard to get, besides a lot of forumers will try to improve their writing and share useful posts in order to get merits. But we should never ignore the bad side which is to sacrifice the few who are working really hard but never get noticed and never get merits.

I think 10 merits for a beginner to rank up is very suitable, Jr members are willing to learn and they are trying to work hard and increase their posts qualities to rank up, a lot of low rank users here are capable to write competent posts and yet they don't get attention, it could be because of their weak and small rank or maybe this forum is unfair and you need to be famous to get merits.

After the hit that bitcoin took from the unbearable slow transactions with high miner fees, people have started investing a lot in the altcoin market and especially ICO's which have become a multi million dollar industry that proves to be very profitable, and now even though the bitcoin transactions have returned to normal, the market is still slowly recovering because many people still have their investments in the altcoin market, but it won't be too long before it starts rising up again.

You are absolutely right, but still, not only newbies are struggling to get their accounts up even Jr member rank and above should work hard to empower not only their accounts but their knowledge as well, and as you said no one started as a legendy, they've surely took things slowly and held a longer breath for a greater harvest, alongside the merit system recently brought more barriers to the rank up so it is now harder and even unfair, everyone needs to work more and strengthen the quality of their posts to increase their level.

The whole merit system is not actually a solution for spammers, alright i don't deny it is a good step from the moderators to clean up the forum but it is still unfair. A lot of people with Sr.member and under ranks are posting high qualified posts and they don't get merits just because people here don't have the time to read everything or to pay attention to every good post and give merits, so that's why it is unfair. Actually the campaigns managers are the ones to count on to clean up this forum, since they are responsible for hiring, their job is to check posts of everyone applying for a campaign and to pick the high qualified people only.

No they don't get any notification when someone tries to access their account, they only get a notification when it's already too late and their email and password have been changed, and that's where the problem lies, they won't be able to know that they are being hacked.

Recently my friend's bitcointalk account got hacked and unfortunatly for him he was not able to recover it, the hacker was able to change the email and password without being stopped due to the fact that bitcointalk system only sends you a notification mail to let you know that your informations were already changed, and the only way you can recover your account is by having a signed message which people only know about when it's too late, or by pming one of the administrators who have a busy schedule and probably won't reply to you even if you have a proof of ownership of the account.

What i'm suggesting here is to add another layer of security, so that when you want to change the email or the password, a verification mail would be sent to the current email and the owner would have the option to accept it or not and also know if he is being hacked.

Glad that a lot of people got the chance to buy bitcoin when its price is down, that would certainly help the recovery of bitcoin and probably it will rise again so soon, I hope we don't get disappointed and bitcoin will get the chance reach 20k , Cross your fingers people!!
