21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Journey from .15 btc to a motorcycle (32 btc) via sports betting OVER 1 BTC NOW! on: June 18, 2013, 01:54:09 PM
Got some bad news guys. I googled some of his account info and it seems likely he is this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167410.0

We don't normally do this sort of thing, of we'd have warned everyone right away. Really disappointing to see this stuff.

Yep. I PM a member in this thread (he can claim it if he wants) that this is the guy running this scam. I didn't follow this topic so I was unaware he was getting people to send him coin to gamble (why they don't do it themselves I have no clue).

Don't get your hope up on ever seeing your coin again. Moneypak is instant cash from an ATM. There is no excuse to take hours let alone days to complete your end shipping the coin.

Will note that if I feel this is a secure transaction IE using escrow or you have amazing rep I will sell for -10% of code. Will go up to -20% if you buy $500 or more.

This means on $100 gift card you pay $90.
28  Economy / Currency exchange / WTS Amazon Gift Cards/Walmart Gift Cards (offer closed) on: June 17, 2013, 01:30:05 AM
Have $100 card ready to go, can buy more or less depending on demand.

Will use escrow or ship first to users with positive feedback.

Post or PM offers

Edit. I was informed these options are reversible and not secure for seller. I apologize.

Kinda hard not to offend someone in a religious topic.
30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 22 BTC, should I spend it on LTC or FTC? on: June 17, 2013, 01:11:39 AM
I would like to stay with bitcoin as I trade with it, but currently I mine Litecoins and the reason why this question came up is because of all the economic advantages I heard about FTC. So as a short term investment, I find that LTC and FTC are both quite attractive you know?

For example, if LTC goes up to $10 each, I would have experienced a profit gain of 500%, and if FTC goes up to say... $1 the gain would be significant. I am just wanting to know out of the two currencies, which would sound better and if possible, why.

I would go with FTC. More room for profit margin.
31  Economy / Auctions / Re: HOUSE IN GERMANY FOR 1BTC NO RESERVE. on: June 17, 2013, 12:18:50 AM

people like the goat have jumped on the misunderstanding to try and sabotage the auction.

Because you used my name and lied I have to respond when I would have normally waited until the end of the rerun of this auction.

You are not selling a "house" as most people understand the word. It is misleading.

Also the cost of removing even the inside of the "shell" will cost more than what the land is worth. This is something that could not be given away for free.

This is me being honest about your deception. This is not sabotage.

Be honest about things and people will not have to point out your deception/lies. I am known to be a rude cunt on this forum (scammers hate me!) but I am also known for being highly blunt and 100% honest.

The issue is you are twisting this to make it sound like a scam. You think people don't buy property with abandoned buildings? Do you think someone that is ready and willing to pay for a property doesn't research or know what they are getting into?

Yes this obvious needs work but you saying he is not selling a "house" is out right a lie. You also say how removing the house would cost more than the land is worth yet you don't post anything to backup your claim.

Also with the whole scammers hate me because I am blunt and honest, well you are sabotaging this auction and for what reason? Do you just assume everyone is incapable in making their own purchases?

Like I said, people can read for themselves and if they have any questions they can PM the OP. I think your comments in this thread are not needed and frankly rude.
32  Economy / Digital goods / WTS Amazon Gift Cards on: June 17, 2013, 12:06:57 AM
Selling Amazon gift cards, any amount just let me know what you are looking for and I will quote you a price.

Escrow is fine or I am okay with shipping to highly respectable members.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox login disabled.... new site coming.... Twitter mentions LTC & other coins. on: June 17, 2013, 12:02:23 AM
Is that why LTC is skyrocketing on BTC-e lol

.10 is skyrocketing?
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sell me bitcoin on: June 16, 2013, 11:58:48 PM
i think hes a scammer.
just pmed you, i have no reason to scam and i will gift so i cannot get my money back
False.
reason to scam: get free money
gift = no chargeback possible: nope, you can still claim your account was hacked and Paypal will do a chargeback.

This. Always a red flag when people claim gift can not be reversed.

I like that the market for services is wide open, just need to get going and start something up.

The man does have a point saying bitcoin is pretty close to a religion.
37  Other / Meta / Re: Are the mods getting paid from this forum? on: June 16, 2013, 05:27:28 AM
Would be interesting to see how the good ol' IRS sees this non-owner and not an official nonprofit forum structure but now a bunch of mods admitted and claimed btc addresses receiving income to themselves.

to my knowledge none of the forum owners or hosting occurs in the US, so its probably exempt to the laws of the IRS

Could apply to a few users most likely but really doubt anyone will hear anything unless the get reported.
38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling.. on: June 15, 2013, 10:11:02 PM

Its getting a little ridiculous what they are coming out with now. I find it sad that anyone would need or even use these. If you need to look up an address or phone number or w/e take a min pull your phone out and do it. Do we really need glasses like this?
39  Other / Meta / Re: Are the mods getting paid from this forum? on: June 15, 2013, 10:07:57 PM
Why is it a big deal if they get paid? They provide a service for all of us and in return earn some bitcoins, I don't see anything wrong here.
40  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling.. on: June 15, 2013, 10:02:12 PM
What's so special about these glasses?
