hey guys
whats best pool for btcz?
Any of the pools listed on the opening post (page 1) that donate to the community fund are good.  Personally I'm using www.viciousminer.com.  Look for his add a couple posts above.

Welcome aboard!

Hmm - The original pool I was using doesnt seem to support anymore. Is there others? Do I need another miner?
I'm using Nvidia cards, which use either EBWF or DSTM.  DSTM seems to be the preferred miner at the moment, getting a few % more hashing power per card.

Most of the pools should have a "getting started" page which will help you get the config correct, or you can post here and we can make sure it's correct.

And again, I'll give a shout out to mine at www.viciousminer.com.  ;-)

Can some senior person PLEASE answer me why these pool seem to be so dishonest and no one cares?

I have mined on https://btczpool.com/workers/t1Hv3U5pKqSduiPvMRmqsJ73NZNYiu8yZEm

for 20 hours now.

Based on Whattomine Calculator I am supposed to have mined

20/24 X 7183 = 5,985 Coins in 20 hours

But all I have mined is: 2384 that is less than 40%!!!! I know how pols work and how difficulty changes but this pool has 91 miners and I am taking the stats over 20 hours so it should be very close to average.

I have similar experience on most pools, specially SuprNova.

Any advise?
I don't think 20 hours is nearly long enough to judge the pool.  The difficulty on btcz has bounced between 40 and 90 several times the past 24 hours.  Some days you will get more "lucky" than others.  There are lots of factors.  Stick it out for at least a week, before making any judgement.  Will probably takes even longer than that to see a true average payout for the pool.

Mathematically you should see the same payout over time from any pool after accounting for any pool fee's.

Huge shout out to everyone who donated to my account for the 6 hour hash power drawing.  I think everyone who donated was on there for way over 6 hours!  Thank You!

Cryptorex, Rizzman1000, Dawn, Hash, Odslabs, and Kosc.. Thank You!
And anyone else who donated, but I didn't see, Thank You!

We hit 6 blocks in the first few hours, for a total of about 48,000 btcz.   And then nothing all of last night, lol.

I've donated 10,000 back to the general fund.

If there will be no new features and only merging Zcash changes that Zcash and every other Zcash clone also have, then why would people use this over the others?
great question, who will answer it?

@frederick (1 of 3) For me, there are a lot of things that I can see being distinct... 1. Foremost is the scarcity issue. All these coins that you mentioned are currently well over $100 just for 1 denomination of currency. This is primarily due to the level of scarcity people have built into other coins due to max supply of only a few million, when we have 5 billion people in the world today. Bitcoin, LTC, Monero, Zcash, ETH, etc... will NEVER be adopted fully for this reason... the currency needs to be within reach of the working poor / middle class for it to be truly useful for things such as buying a gallon of milk, or a cup of coffee.   and I am sorry but nobody within this socioeconomic strata are going to sit and try to calculate "do I spend" .0001 LTC for my cup of coffee, or is it .0001?"  - Nobody is going to do that. Now, with BTCZ, there is a 21 billion coin supply, so in a theoretical scenario, every person on earth today could have at least 4 coins each assuming all things equal. because of this amount we will never see this coin going to $20k per coin, but $3.00 per coin is a very real possibility in the long term future. which at this point, buying a gallon of milk would cost approx 1 BTCZ

@frederick (2 of 3) ... Currently, the only other coins that have any kind security or lets just say, Privacy are Zcash, Monero , Zencoin, or Hush.... without going into the details regarding premines / support / founders fees the biggest distinction that can be made is for adoption feasibility. You say we support anarchy, I completely disagree with this and here is an examples why. Do you realize that everything you buy with a credit card / debit card is tracked by Big data for credit agencies? furthermore did you know that those same agencies are drawing a conclusion of your creditworthiness based off what you buy on daily basis? This is huge... for example, one of the biggest known indicators that a person is credit worthy is if they buy cup coasters?.... Insane right? But happens!, This is literally being used to decide, how much you will make (if your job looks at credit) or if you can own a house, or how much you get charged for credit.... all of this matters because currently you have no real good options to transfer money without big data seeing what your doing and forming opinions about you in the process. Other than walking around briefcases full of money for any major transactions you make, and even still they are going to want to know what you are using it for when you withdraw it. THIS is a big reason why you need and should demand privacy.

@frederick (3 of 3) Lastly, Perhaps the most biggest things about this coin is that its not distinct in that it is following the same path of development as Bitcoin, and LTC.. There is no premine, no ICO, no central development authority... Yet you still have so many people stepping forward to do things to make it easier, and more useful to use. This is what ultimately will make this coin great, Not whitepapers, or well known devs... but because any developers out there can bring an idea forward and revolutionize the entire project... This is the ultimate strength of the project, and because of this it will continue to grow. I hope this helps with your concerns.

I think bitcoin is on the wrong track. People nowaday treat it as an investment, not a convinient and low cost payment method as its creator proposed.Sooner or later, btc's major limits (small blocksize, long blocktime) will matter. There is an advantage of btcz i really like is transcation fee is dirt cheap no matter 1 btcz is $1 or $10(which equivalent to marketcap of $200B).

10 years from now when btcz is the hot sizzle and everyone is using, what happens to the transaction costs?  Will it go up too just like btc's, albeit at a slower rate because of the faster blocktime and larger blocksize?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTCZ] BitcoinZ - No-premine, No-ICO, No-Dev Tax - 100% Community on: December 07, 2017, 04:53:55 PM
BTCZ has a good community at the moment and is the coin that motivated me to make an account on this forum (rather than sifting through the info i need at the time). As far as tradesatoshi is concerned i have had no problems with them and service response time has been exceptional. We are talking 10-20mins not 1-3 days. Trading BTCZ on tradesatoshi is fine, however i will be holding all of mine because at the moment PRICE DOES NOT MATTER.

There are far more important things going on with this coin than its initial value on exchanges. Those interested in 10X gains and dumping right after, expecting it to be on major exchanges that ask for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to be listed leaves quite a sour taste in my mouth. This is not a pump and dump coin, it is here for the long road ahead. There are going to be bumpy times with FUD all over the place however with such a strong community and active communication on these forums it shows this coin could potentially be a force to be reckoned with years into the future.

No ICO, No premine, community driven. Those dedicated to this will certainly be rewarded in the long run.

This coin runs on donations and i see there is a lottery for mining time by donating btcz. As decentralized as we want btcz to be, for those putting the time in i feel a donation wallet should be created for the select people that are putting in the hard yards with account spending recorded and publicized (If there is already one please let me know!)

Cheers,

Polar
+1

FYI, I've also used tradsatoshi without any problems.  Created a ZEN wallet, transferred funds, converted to BTC, bought BTCZ, and transferred out to my wallet all in about 20 - 25 minutes.

I think the meteoric rise of BTC is hurting startup coins like BTCZ.  A month ago, to get the same value a BTCZ would be at 50 or 60 satoshi.  A month from now when BTC is at $30,000 USD, our same valued BTCZ will be worth around 8 satoshi.  That makes it hard for BTCZ to have a normal price flux.  A change of 1 satoshi suddenly becomes a really big deal.

Not sure what the solution is?  There needs to be like micro satoshi's.....  Oh wait... What?  Hey, that's what BTCZ wants to be!

SatoshiZ?  Ha!

My BTCZ withdrawal at tradesatoshi has been still pending since yesterday, is it normal?
I've read here some other user's having slow withdrawals too.  Personally, I've only tried it once about a week ago and had no problems.  Iy showed up in my wallet within 5 minutes or so.

Have you checked an explorer to see if you can see the transaction on the blockchanin?  That will confirm if the problem is with your wallet or with tradesatoshi releasing the coins.

I just checked, and looks like I found a block this morning!  Yeah.  About half way verified, so I assume it will pay out later today.  Just joined the pool yesterday.

Good Day folks, as you all may know, we have a multitude of exchanges we are trying to get listed on as well as many projects that the development team needs funding for in order to build awareness for BTCZ. This fact, coupled with the success of the previous hash rate for donations lottery, we are now upping the ante. This time we are raising the jackpot substantially, with a two-tier drawing for the following:

Drawing for winner will take place on 27th of December
Drawing 1: 50 K/sol for 24 hours on the 28th of December - Minimum donation: 3,000 BTCZ
Drawing 2: 50 K/sol for 6 hours on the 29th of December - Minimum donation: 500 BTCZ

Note: those who donate hash rate for the full 24 hours + 6 hours of the fundraiser will be automatically entered into the drawing for the 6-hour jackpot. You are still welcome to donate 3,000 BTCZ to be entered into the 24-hour jackpot as well!

At this time, Hashgod, and Rizzman1000 are putting out a call to arms to ask for a few good miners to pledge their support to the community by donating as much K/sols as possible to help us ensure this fundraiser is a success. At current, we have personally committed 20K/sol to this cause, and are in need of another 30 K/sol from the community for this 30-hour fund drive. Please consider donating hashing power to the cause using the link below and please only sign up if you are 100% sure you can commit:

I just created an account and tried out TradeSatoshi for the first time.  I was reluctant to try it out, as a lot of people are knocking it for being such a small exchange, but I gotta say the user experience was pretty good.  I just bough a bit over 13,000 BTCZ at 27 Satoshi.

I first was going to transfer BTC into TradeSatoshi, but the transaction fee out of Exodus was stupid high.  Instead, I transferred some Zen first.  Then I had to sell it on TradeSatoshi for BTC, which I could then use to buy BTCZ with.  Then I was able to transfer the BTCZ out to my swing wallet.

All told, took about 15 minutes, with most of that waiting for the transactions to be confirmed.  Overall, everything worked exactly as it should.  If you're on the fence about using TradeSatoshi, I can say from my personal experience that it works just fine.

FYI, LuckPool updated so you can manually set your payout. 100 min.  Can someone update the http://bitcoinzguiding.ovh/pools.html website?

If your looking for a SuprNova alternative, I think this is a good one.
Pool around 190 KSols/S, and getting a block or two most hours at current difficulty.  HellCatz is very active on the chat and everyone helpful with questions.  I've been using the pool for a few weeks for Zen, and now BTCZ with no issues.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTCZ] BitcoinZ - No-premine, No-ICO, No-Dev Tax - 100% Community on: November 23, 2017, 11:27:52 PM
I highly recommend you to mine on Suprnova pool. it is very stable.
Suprnova is bad pool. I cant login month there. Support dont answer. I lost 1800 btcz.
I've mined many coins on suprnova, NEVER had a problem, NEVER lost a coin.....
Сongratulations, but now I constantly have an error   "Unable to login: Account locked. Please Check your Email for instructions to unlock." Support no answer...

We aren't trying to say Suprnova is good or bad, the point is we don't want over 50% of the hash rate on any single pool.  In the future, if some other pool gains 51+% of the hash rate, we'll ask miners to stop using that pool too.

Go to the first post, and pick any of the other pools that you wish.  Obviously if they automatically donate Btcz, that's better, but most importantly we want to distribute the hash rate among multiply pools.
