Locked.
22  Other / Meta / Re: Why are Bitcointalk forum members so stupid? on: January 30, 2013, 11:34:25 AM
Out of all the forums that I have frequented (and I've been on some seriously high volume forums), it is bitcointalk.org that has the dubious distinction of warehousing the largest number of what can only be described as "retards."

What is it about Bitcoin that brings the mentally deficient out of the woodwork?

Age, lack of life experience, entitlement, complete lack of personal responsibility and so on and so forth.

Age doesn't mean shit, it's the lack of intelligence that leads to such posts.

Gathered details from around the place and added to ^, will be updated as more is found out.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SCAM ALERT: spendbitcoins.com / Jeremy West on: January 19, 2013, 12:13:53 PM
No, the 40 BTC was edited after the fact.  My post was also edited after the fact to reflect the high bid of 35 BTC by the previous bidder, not like the 40 BTC bid that was edited to be over the previous bid.  I never had a bid "up to 36 BTC."  The only bid I had was essentially "up to 66 BTC."

If we were to play that game, I could have edited my post to reflect 41 BTC

If only you had the sense to PGP sign, nobody could have modified your bid. Tsk tsk.

Why the fuck did you bump a thread over a year old?
25  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Decentralized mining protocol standard: getblocktemplate (ASIC ready!) on: December 04, 2012, 02:20:41 PM
I think luke-jr must have stopped looking in that thread.
No, I just continued ignoring known trolls such as yourself.

The question is also irrelevant.

Uhm, a "little" over the top.  Don't you think? I'd say Graet is pretty well-respected. Calling him a troll brings your credibility into question.
A few months ago, I might have agreed. But he's been getting pretty deep into Kano/Con's troll camp for a while now, constantly spreading FUD and other lies, with utter disregard for the truth.

And your evidence of this...?
26  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SomeoneWeird doesn't pay on: November 30, 2012, 10:43:48 AM
Sounds like someone one would want to employ. Cheating on the CCNA and cheating on paying 10 bucks to cheat on the CCNA. Apparently a really trustworthy guy.

EDIT: Aaaand he's with Bitcoin Police. Big surprise there.

Big surprise there? What's that supposed to mean?

Anyway, PM'd OP.

29  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: This is an ex-change (cryptoxchange closes shop) on: November 22, 2012, 11:30:53 AM
The bitcoin police have no more in common with cryptoxchange than we do with MtGox and intersango etc. I have no idea why you're confusing us Smiley CX is run by Ken, and the BP is run by myself and MrTiggr.

edit: and yes if you look at the whois for bitcoinpolice.org it says that Mark Karpeles owns it, that's just because he registered it himself and donated it to us Smiley

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statement about the suspect of recent Bitcoinica hack on: July 26, 2012, 12:54:44 PM
F1ex.com charges about 5.6% to 8% for BTC->LR, and usually mixing services charge 1.5%-5%. Also I guess he sold most Bitcoins at about $7. Anyway I will ask him whether he has hidden any money.

If the guy's a millionaire, I don't see why the only funds he'd have access to are whatever his net profit was from the Mt Gox compromise.

I'm hoping to request more. But he's quite uncooperative. I would suggest Bitcoinica to get police involved.

Zhou, your best bet to clear your name would be to file official character impersonation/identity theft with the chinese police and provide them with all evidence which would be the easier for you to get this specific person into court where you would be able to extract the secondary charges of theft aswell.

Any court would take the first crime more seriously at first and the second offense can be slapped on top.

When did China come into this?

This thread started at 4:00PM Victoria Time. I'm curious as to what time those classes started. And I thought you were still in Singapore.

~Bruno~

It wouldn't tell you much.  He could have whole days where he has no lectures or tutorials and others where they're spread throughout the day and don't finish until 9pm.

this. I only go to school 2 days, but those 2 days are 14 hour days.
