22  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: SELLING HERO ACCOUNTS X2 on: August 27, 2014, 10:43:46 PM
If the accounts have posted a bitcoin address (unedited) in an old thread you can prove that they weren't hacked.

What, how does that prove anything?

There's no way to know if an account is hacked until it's too late.

This is a great deal but I agree it could be stolen which means you'll lose your BTC and rhe account.

Can anybody figure out how one can tell if it's a stolen account?  Thanks.

How this would work is that the thread that has the bitcoin address would have to be uneditable they would need to sign a message using that address. Then they would give the message, address and signature to the buyer that they can verify it.
23  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk account Full Member. 0.12 BTC (Escrow accepted) on: August 26, 2014, 04:09:15 PM
Ok first you will never get .12BTC for that account. The market is now a buyers market and this is no longer worth what you think its worth. Second your account has 2 untrusted comments that drops the value even lower IMO. You would be lucky to get half of what you are asking.
24  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk Account 2 weeks from senior on: August 26, 2014, 04:04:39 PM
You can get pretty much over 0.3 for a senior member.
You certainly can not. Those days are gone. A senior acct is worth at most what you can make from it in 2 months. And that is pushing it. I have not seen an open campaign paying more then .1 a month for a senior so I would say .2 would the most it is worth as it would take 2 months just to break even. You could just hold on to it and hope that a new campaign arrives that will raise the price but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Awesome to see someone doing this. I wish I was able to but at the moment I have too many bills so fiat is my currency at least for the foreseeable future.
30  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for people with amazon prime account to do reviews for btc on: August 02, 2014, 01:19:52 PM

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin logo do you prefer? [I want your input for a study] on: August 02, 2014, 11:24:33 AM
I’d vote for the classic, its more appealing in my eye as far as aesthetic view goes. The classic logo is definitely more artsy.

Your fault for using such exchanges. I use Coinbase without a problem.

Just because you fell for a scam site doesn't justify your calling the currency a scam. Let's say I bought bonds that turned to junk, using dollars. Does that make dollars a scam?

a better alternative to coinbase is cryptsy.com in the US.

some of the advantages of cryptsy over coinbase:
-no need to link bank account
-credit card is not required for instant transactions ( you do not have to wait 4 to 5 business days to receive $ or bitcoins)
-low fee 0.25% compare to 1%+15cents
-customer support that will answer. good luck sending an email to coinbase
-oh no crap like "your transaction was denied due to high risk. try again in few weeks"

I have been looking into this but is there a way to use an echeck without a legit brick and mortar bank acct. We used to be able to use walmart money card and then ACH withdraw from that but I think the rules have changed and they no longer allow ACH withdrawals. If we must still deposit into a regulated bank acct then there is still a tally that can and will be reported if and when you start reaching high withdrawals and deposits. Is there another card that we can get so we can make these deposits and withdrawals without the scrutiny that an fdic backed bank would have.
33  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is a stock on: August 02, 2014, 10:50:25 AM
Not that its entirely wrong to say that bitcoin is becoming like a stock market, It would be accurate to say its becoming more of a digital gold or jewel. Getting scarcer and higher as time pass by.
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin. Is. Awesome! on: August 02, 2014, 10:41:00 AM
Congrats on your first coin. Be prepared because this becomes addictive. You can also check out electrum especially if you have an offline computer. I have mine setup so that my online PC is a watch only wallet. If I want to send btc then i must generate the tx on my offline pc and place the signed tx on a usb and then execute it on my watch only client.

This process keeps my coin very secure and lowers your chances of coin being stolen to near zero.
35  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paid to Click Bitcoin websites on: August 02, 2014, 03:25:15 AM
I wouldn't exactly count on it, partly because I never trust PTC sites. They promote how easy things are and how easy to earn money from it. Seriously though, how many have earned a good amount of money from it? Especially now bitcoin was the said payment, I wouldn't even bother taking a second look at it. then again, but thats just me.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You're doing it wrong, Wikimedia on: August 02, 2014, 03:10:23 AM
Just use a fake name generator. i agree they shouldn't be collecting info but from there point they want to make sure they have contact info so they can double dip. Say next month or year they may contact you for a second donation. From there side if they get even 10% to redonate they surely happy.
37  Economy / Economics / Re: How much do you value your credit score? on: August 02, 2014, 03:06:07 AM
It depends what you want or need to do with your score. As for me my credit score has always been pretty good. Though I wouldn’t say I spend a lot to gain good credit score. Better consult your bank regarding credit scores. They are usually helpful in telling you exactly what you can do to build or repair in order to get a card or loan.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We already passed the tipping point of BTC on: August 02, 2014, 01:46:29 AM
I totally agree on this, bitcoin does hold a lot of enterprises in the future. I know a few who are a bit skeptical still to this day, and possibly bitcoin will never be universally accepted. Despite that, I do believe that gives us an edge in the free market.
As far I’m concerned, the majority who find bitcoin defective are those who believe an apocalyptic event will happen, and shut down the internet. What are the odds of that happening anyway? Probably not as good as the odds of bitcoin being adopted by the massses IMO.
Its pretty much like paypal before, a lot where skeptical to try it then. But hey, look at where it is now.
Anyway I look at it. I'm in it to win it! so I have no plans on bailing no matter what happens.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fortune -- Cryptocurrency Tracking for iPhone on: August 02, 2014, 01:31:33 AM
I’m quite interested in utilizing the app. Do you have plans on releasing an andriod version? I do have a minor concern regarding its consistency though. Correct me if I’m wrong, the whole purpose of the app is to make it easier for you to monitor bitcoin currencies climate right? whether its going up or down. Is that it? or just plain update for its current value?
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmniCoin! HackForum's official cryptocurrency on: August 02, 2014, 01:26:38 AM
Hello everyone~
I'm here to just share my opinions on Omnicoin. (OMC)

So OMC is basically a Cryptocurrency endorsed by Omniscient himself.

If you're not familiar with Hackforums, as the name suggests, it's a hacking forums.

However, it's also the worlds largest MyBB forums. So there's a lot of potential.

You can see the rates on allcrypt.
https://www.allcrypt.com/market?id=672

I think the rates are 1:200 right now.

OMC did well in the beginning of the hype.
The rates went from 1:200 -> 1:100 -> 1:50 -> 1:20 -> 1:15
But now it's starting to go back to 1:200 because not as many users are using it.

Any thoughts on this alt coin?

I actually have some OMC not much about 4k. I had high hopes for it but to be honest if Omni can not get it on more then just allcrypt then it is very easy to manipulate. With about $100 in bitcoin I can lower the price to anything I want. Wait a day or so for people to post orders and Buy it up a bunch for cheap. Then raise the price back up.

At this point I cant suggest anyone invest in OMC. Though other alts are not exactly safe and the possibility of losing is still unavoidable. There are other options that are established enough to be a much better investment.
