Does meeting in person with 30K roughly not make anyone else nervous?  I just cant imagine carrying that much cash into a trade for the life of me.

a lot of aggression too but still some bidding. will be like two gangs of bitcoin nerds meeting up like the scene in anchorman Cheesy

UPDATE:

After just talking to Sam Noi I can now reveal that the Project founder Fabrizio Tatti and one of the chip developers will be available on the forum shortly (later tonight or possibly in the morning) to answer questions reg. Design, status, Gen 1 chips etc.

This should give investors plenty of opportunity to ask questions and also stay up to date with the development.

27  Economy / Auctions / Re: 60 Asicminer Direct Shares Auction @ 4.3 - 48 Hours on: August 04, 2013, 09:33:32 PM
I've been looking to buy some shares for a while.  I have some questions.  Why is payment address different?  Why would you need escrow?  Isn't friedcat basically escrow for this as I would bid and confirm my desire to buy, then you contact friedcat to transfer upon payment, where he sets aside the shares for me and upon my blockchain verified payment transfers them in his internal records?  Or am I missing something in this process?

its already time consuming enough for friedcat to process all the manual share changes that happen on a regular basis, throwing escrow into the mix would be a nightmare for him!

seems labcoin would make more money and it would be fairer to just let the market decide the price by leaving the orderbook open. with the mad rush in about 11 hours it will be mr.apache server that determines who can get shares and labcoin will make a lot less from this IPO (and more frustrated peeps).

Please tell me at least three reaons why free bidding would be fairer than the release at a fixed time with prior announcement? It isn't even about fair or not. There is a shareholder agreement and things were set in stone even before this discussion. "IPO at fixed time with enough time before release". Statements like this are binding.

I advise those who disagree to adjust and rethink their attitude instead of calling this "bad start" which it really isn't.

maybe fairer was the wrong word. he said it would be released at a fixed time but nobody expected the orderbook to start filling up more than 24 hours before the IPO.

I already mentioned some good reasons in my post why it would be better to allow open orders before IPO - mainly that it would be not just "luck" who managed to get an order through and also labcoin would make more from the IPO. However I think 24 hours of open orders before IPO is a little excessive Smiley

tough call to know what to do in this situation, its a shame it accepted bids so early this will really boost the price Cheesy

33  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 337 direct ASICMINER shares (Starting bid is only 4.3 BTC!) on: July 17, 2013, 11:06:02 AM
So, any updates yet?

thanks

Yes, it is my fault we can't finish this before dividends so I'm going to pay you double dividends this week. I'm 100% sure I will have my stuff finished by Friday mid-day once I get back to my country.

I'm sorry for the delay and it is my fault. I left something in my country that I thought I had. Being super paranoid about security sucks some times.

Double dividends from me should come in less than 24 hours however give me until mid day friday before grabbing a pitch fork. I'm on my first family holiday in years.

Again, I'm sorry for this delay, Thanks for you understanding.

Wow double divs Shocked nice. Thnx! Won't be long before you miss Thailand Cheesy

the recent move to selling chips and offering upgrades for cash are classic signs of a company with cashflow problems......................

strange they didn't even make the upgrade tempting though, same $ per GH as just buying a new unit.

Maybe in the future an alt-coin that solves real world problems can rise but for now we have to be content with burning some fossils to support our cryptographic currency desires Cheesy
