Hi everyone.
We are an international team working on developing a platform using blockchain technology, smart contracts and AI for the healthcare industry.

Hi Wink how would using by you "blockchain technology" would differ from using simple database?
I think u only use buzz words and have no clue what you are doing. To be able to use "blockchain technology" you must spend hundred of millions $ to secure ur blockchain with computing power. U will never have it Cheesy u will just use distributed database at most, thats it Cheesy poor soul.

It doesn't matter, when people hear about blockchain they will put their bets on and buy the ICO, not many people even care they heard somewhere that "blockchain" is a new thing that's skyrocketing because of bitcoin and that's the trend to move towards, I don't blame them blockchain can be implemented but as you said it can be costly.

We're hoping people will join our ICO because they believe in our product.
As opposed to many of the ICOs out there, we will already have a beta version of the product. Which means we've already invested funds and human resources in our startup.

The protocol behind blockchain can be extended to many industries, and healthcare is one of them.
While the average person has trouble understanding what a smart contract is, and how that can help the end user (aka themselves), or be implemented in a product/service/mix, the audience that is already educated on the topic should not have an issue in getting "a real feel" to what we're building here.

We're hoping users from BitcoinTalk will join our ICO for that matter. And if this isn't the place to get pioneers and early adopters to join a cause that's built around a human need (health services) + the blockchain protocol, then I wonder which place is it? Smiley

The first step is to implement the smart contracts protocol.
Moving forward, and depending on resources (human power, finances, and technology requirements), there is a possibility of expanding the blockchain technology that we'd use for our token and platform.

I believe we have to start from somewhere, which we're currently doing, and we appreciate any kind of help.
That's why we're also here on BitcoinTalk, it's the place to be to understand the needs and requests of an audience that uses and believes in the blockchain, beyond Bitcoin and altcoins.

24  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Philippines on January 25, 2018 in Manila on: December 18, 2017, 07:43:10 PM
Is there a floorplan and speakers agenda available?
It's probably too early for a conference app, but a Facebook group for participants would still work.

I don't know if any of the official organizers is here, but perhaps this will help with making it a successful event.

Hi Roxana. I am speaking here on behalf of the official organizer.

We've got the official facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/BlockchainConferenceEurope/
Regarding the agenda and floorplan - it will be updated on the website. Currently there are parts of agenda you can look: https://philippines.bc.events/.

If you have any questions left - do not hesitate to ask me.
Cheers!

Hi Nick.

Great, thank you so much.
I've just checked the Facebook page and will join the groups.

I see there are events in Europe happening as well.
We're definitely joining at least one of them in the following quarter.

Best,

Revolut announced during TechCrunch Disrupt Berlin that they're upgrading their crypto services.
You can now buy, exchange, and hold BTC, ETH etc.

Official blog announcement:
https://blog.revolut.com/revolut-launches-easiest-fastest-way-to-buy-cryptocurrencies/

Has anyone already tested the cryptocurrency features of Revolut?

This could either be a great way to easily buy cryptocurrencies or an expensive way to buy
cryptocurrencies compared to conventional exchanges. Nonetheless, this shows the increasing
acceptance of Bitcoin among these new fintech startups.

Haven't tried it yet, but they did make some huge announcements during TechCrunch Disrupt in Berlin earlier this month. I can follow-up with the community and ask if anyone's using it already.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there any good news about Bitcoin from your country? on: December 13, 2017, 11:44:27 PM
We have a few exchanges for BTC, ETH, and altcoins.
The government hasn't said anything yet.
So far so good.

Plenty still use Kraken as their go-to exchange platform.

The good news is with 3BTC at this point, you could buy a small apartment in the suburbs.

Wow, should be a great event, definitely attending!  Smiley

Jokes aside, thank you for posting this. Yes, we are going to run Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Philippines with many great speakers and attendees. The official website is https://philippines.bc.events/

Let's make it an official thread, if you don't mind. I will post some updates here.

Hi everyone.

We are an international team working on developing a platform using blockchain technology, smart contracts and AI for the healthcare industry.

Each of us isn't new to the crypto scene, but as a team we are. Hence, "newbie" is our proud badge here in the forum.

We're hoping to engage with as many enthusiasts here, and help us understand better the entire process. It's not the technology we're concerned, it's the human factor. There are things we don't know about the community unless we tap into it, right?

How can we create a product and service that addresses the needs of the end user? Because the end user will most probably have knowledge of what blockchain is, of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and alt coins.

But we don't want to be "just another ICO". There are doctors in our team who have witnessed the lack of technological innovation in the medical field.
Data breaches happening 24/7. Patients being blocked from the medical services they require. Fraud. And so on.

So we really believe that smart contracts can help us make a better world. To a great extent.

We'll be around, trying to get to know the users on Bitcointalk and what keeps them up at night. I'm pretty sure it's not just the price of Bitcoin fluctuating.

Looking forward to learning more.
And perhaps meet some of you face to face at conferences related to the blockchain implementation.

Over and out,

I'm afraid you won't really like the best way to predict Bitcoin price rise, as it takes a lot of work.

You'll first need to analyze the data in the past seven years and see if there is a pattern. Usually, there's a pattern (not easily discoverable), but if you were to take a look at other events throughout history, you'll notice there's a repetition.

Analyze the major political and economical events that happened each time a spike occurred.

Moving forward, set up a series of Google Alerts (they're the fastest) for specific keywords (factors) that are closely related to that pattern.

This should give you an understanding of what can trigger a spike and an increase in the price of not just Bitcoin, but also other coins.

I don't know if you noticed, but each time Bitcoin went up, so did Ethereum and a few other coins.

Hope this helps you understand when price surges can occur.

31  Bitcoin / Meetups / European Must Attend 2018 Conferences - Blockchain Focused on: December 11, 2017, 10:36:13 PM
Hi everyone.

My team and I at Aimedis are looking for some of the best conferences to attend for next year in Europe, which feature blockchain events, workshops, and networking opportunities.

For 2017, in Q4, we have seen some interest on the topic at Web In Lisbon, and Slush in Helsinki.

TechCruch Disrupt Berlin also had a series of "off the record" talks and workshops about blockchain technology and ICO.

And the ICO event in Amsterdam in late November was also centered on blockchain technology.

Moving forward as the year comes to an end, I'm trying to build an agenda for the upcoming 2018.

What are some of the must-attend events and where for European crypto enthusiasts, but also for startups incorporating smart contracts, and launching their own token?

Hope this is the right place to post, cc mods.
Many thanks in advance.
