yeah, with the price of btc right now. It is pretty hefty, but when you're at the mercy of limited exchanges. You may have to deal with that stuff.

This is a hands off option. No coding/programming needed with an instant user base.

You can absolutely do stuff for cheaper. A faucet will require actual USD/Money to purchase a domain, server, etc then there's coding/programming it to work.

Cryptopia has a cool gimmick that caught me. KDC Clicker. It's a "faucet" but pays out via a typical idle clicker game. it keeps you interested instead of just spamming for coins.

If I'm wrong I'm sorry but I though hobo nickels were died ? Didn't they almost die out at some stage this year ? I never saw this thread come up. Only now I have seen it. It sounds like it will probably be a good investment.
Cryptsy's death meant our biggest exchange went away so the coins value plummeted as you had no where to exchange them.

That and Tranz's absence didn't help.

While not having a Dev, doesn't mean the death of a coin.. Having an active Dev is a huge bolster to it's capabilities.

What about we stimulate the Cryptopia exchange?

Paytopia is there's portal for advertising a coin. It's paid for through Cryptopia's coin DOT.
For example. Having a HBN lottery would be 30k DOT a month or at todays rate (.045 btc)
Adding HBN to the tipping section of chat, etc would be 60k DOT a month.

If exchange users had HBN to spend, it would keep the hbn/btc market flowing while possibly getting new users to look at the coin.

Do we have funds to do something like that? I can donate some HBN(15-20k?), but don't really have btc to directly donate.

Since HBN and all the Alt's dropped a bit on the market, no more selling off for me. So my wallets creeping back up. Doubt I'll be in the top25 again. Those guys have some serious hbn.

Bought a few thousand CAP just to have fun too Smiley

Going to try the rescan command now

So my wallet is acting like I've sent coins(but receiving wallet doesn't get them), won't get fully sync'd, and has a different balance than the block explorer...

Did the coin fork or something?

//Side note.
Here are the nodes I've got in the config

I'm back from the dead too. Walked away after Cryptsy took all my other coins and we lost a good trading spot.

Hadn't sync'd my wallet until April. Just turned it on yesterday and it's been sitting at "Syncing with network 3 minutes"..

Then I tried sending some coins to cryptopia and I got an error saying the coins were already spent.

Do I need to repair wallet? or delete the block chain and let it redownload?

Hmm, I've noticed a weird thing with my wallet.

I downloaded the blockchain over again after I was getting out of sync messages.

Now http://hbn.cryptocoinexplorer.com/rich is stating I have more BTC than my wallet shows.

The rich list says I have 86.5k but my wallets saying 82.8K

Staking threshholds still confuse me. So I've got about 77k. What should my numbers be? I hate having hundreds of 1-2hbn stakes

I have  100 Split and 50 combine in there as of now but not sure what they mean.

Wow, Top holder has over a million coins. No way I'm going to catch them without dropping some serious btc to buy up.

I shut my miners down last summer due to AC/Power costs and have been letting my accounts just stake.

Why add that max stake? Does the larger block bog down the network? I constantly refold my blocks in to prevent thousands of sub 1 HBN stakes. I'm not quite at the 25k HBN block yet, but I recently made a 20k block.

Sweet, hit top 30 Cheesy

Looks like I gotta get about another 6k HBN to get near the 25 spot.

It's fun playing with the sell & buy bots on Cryptsy.

Posted some bait buys and sells that made them sell cheap and buy higher lol.

Can be a pain when I actually want to buy a few thousand hbn though. They keep 1 satoshi outbidding me :/

Dreamwatcher who runs the CCE for many coins(including CAPs) will add HBN for .5 BTC for 1 year. I think this is a fair price.  I am willing to foot 1/2 the bill.  So if we can raise .25 btc I will have him set it up.

If you want to contribute. Please donate here: 19XLqpa9BqG5VYfytYHumqv52aaoDhWrE8 .

If we don't get enough I will refund your btc.

Thanks!

Sent you 0.05btc for it.

What's needed to do it? I can't really code but am willing to help out with renting a Vm or something.

Looks like http://hbn.blockx.info/ is still having issues.

My address is gone from the Richlist and I can't search for my wallet address on the site.

All the Exchanges taking bribes for listing coins are just stealing money from people.

Update on rig:
Got the GawMiner Falcon and have it running cgminer via Leaserigs Proxy.

Does well at 1024 difficulty. It'll underhash to about 14mhs if diff is too low.
It fluctuates around 25-29MHs so I've set the number to 25 so it doesn't trip the refund settings. I think this means you guys get an extra couple hashes for free from my price setting.

Also have another Falcon on the way. Thinking of making a second rig instead of making one larger hashing unit for lease
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GAWminers.com fake or what on: July 22, 2014, 07:18:03 PM
I've been dealing with their crap for the last month.

I ordered a Gridseed blade for around $800 and waited 3 weeks and then submitted a ticket. A week later they find out they didn't even drop ship it to me. I got a refund and then attempted to buy their Gawminer Falcon. Shipping date was suppose to be 2nd of July. Didn't leave their place till the 8th and didn't get it until the 16th. By this time they HALVED the price of the falcon so i could have bought TWO for the price I paid and the half price ones were ready to ship same day...

Since then, I've submitted tickets and called numerous times. It's about a 1 in 6 chance I get through to some one. I wasn't finished with a previous ticket, and they've closed it and deleted it. I can't even see it under "closed tickets" on their help page.

Now I have to call them again and find out what the hell is going on. I asked for a store credit so I can buy a second falcon since they drastically cut the cost of a product before I even received the one I purchased. I wasn't even asking for a refund.

I'm not buying through them again

Hi, I hate to hear that you are experiencing so many troubles. If you would like to send me your information I can take a look for you!

You can send me your ticket number at amber@gawminers.com or a private message through hashtrader.com
Got through after the 4th call today. Worked out a store credit so I can purchase a second Falcon.
Still lost money on the purchase but better than losing it all or going with refund and being stuck without mining equipment for another month.

Gaw's pricing structure with drastic drops on equipment does not incentivize purchasing early. I paid $1900 on June 30th for one Falcon and now they're going for $700...about 4 days ago it was $900.

ALSO, for anyone purchasing, take screen shots of your product description page. They keep deleting the pages so I could not quote the page when I thought I was missing something from my order.
