I'm seeing hashrate fluctuation on my 3090s of about 3MH/s (119-122MH/s) whereas phoenixminer is relatively stable (~0.1MH/s variation with a hashrate of 125MH/s). GPU-Z does not indicate power or thermal throttling. T-rex works perfectly fine on all other 30 series cards.

I wouldn't just worry about hashrate stats - instead we should look at defi volume e.g. https://defiprime.com/dex-volumeas long as defi activity continues to outpace hashrate growth, mining is safe

Hi Patrike,
Yes i am using global fan control. Awesomeminer is setting the fan speed just fine, the issue is that i need to set the fan on the 3000 series cards higher than my other gpus. Would it not be possible to set fan control on a per-miner basis rather than have a global fan control?

Hello. I just replace my old Biostar TB250-BTC Pro with Asrock H110 Pro BTC+ and I have a problem. System won`t boot ... after display Asrock logo, I see only one " - " in upper left corner OS tested : Ethos and HiveOS Boot : from USB ( i also try to boot from SSD ) VGA : Onbord ( and with 1 or 12 gpus, same problem ) The MB is connected with 2 molex + 1 sata from the same PSU I made test with same USB in other rig and works fine, also all GPU`s/risers works without problems ... so problem is from MB. One hour tested diffrent BIOS settings without success ... Thanks and I`m waiting some advices Remove gpus, go into bios, disable CSM. On my board with AMD gpus, CSM always gets reenabled if the rig hangs/freezes

I have Palit Game Rock RTX 3080 and Palit Gaming Pro RTX 3080. Game Rock has better cooling than Gaming Pro. Gaming Pro has better hash than Game Rock.(+3MH/s) Now, i need to decide which RTX3090 GPU i will buy. The prices is crazy in my country because of the taxes and gpu shortage. RTX3090 Palit Gaming PRO : 2186$ RTX3090 Palit Game Rock OC : 2173$ RTX3090 Palit Game Rock : 2146$ must you buy the 3090?

It is the same as my zotac 125MH @ 320W

I would suggest you look for another card.
The other 3090 i have is a palit gaming pro. It is very unattractive but has a good heatsink that keeps the card from throttling.

I'm run my cards at +200 core, -1000 mem, 800mV (130-145W). Speeds are on average 41MH

I heard about some problems on RTX 3090 GPUs at gamer forums. There is no so many information about ETH mining. I found a youtube video abut Zotac RTX 3090 mining. 310 mh at 910w. Sure, it is possible to get 120 mh per gpu but The fan of Zotac Trinity GPUs RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 makes so much sound. How about other models ? is there any hardware problem as the gamers reports some hardware problem abot RTX 3090?
the zotac can get to 120+ but you will need run the fans at max and put a fan on the back. The fan blades on the zotac trinity (3080 and 3090) are not fully enclosed, so a lot of air is blown around the fan, rather than down and into the heatsink. There is also a "lip" that covers the bottom part of the heatsink, so hot air can't escape properly (like the msi evoke/xfx thicc2).

EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti XC
It does bring temps down a bit, no real reason to use 0 to + core as it only brings temps up and nothing more, up to -300 I don't see any downside on mh/s. I use hive os if it matters.
linux x windows again, i saw no benefits on windows clocking lower, temperature is the same because power limit is the same, if i lower the power limit clock drops however one of the cards it helped 1 power limit less from 61 to 60 and minus 100 clock speed but I think it helped because lowering 1 power limit more would be worse than core clock, so lets say if there was 0.5 power limit then i would find the perfect spot as we don't, manipulating clock speed helps to find that perfect spot if the power limit is not in the perfect spot, reason i said it helped one gpu the other no, there was one gpu at the perfect power limit, interesting. Same hashrate = 100 mhs constant, no drops. By the way the rtx 3080 evga ftw3 has memory sensors, so you can check the temperature, at moment is. Incredible gddrx6 temperature, no more than 68c. Top of the line, worth it, the only issue is 3 x 8 pin power, 2 x 8 pin would have been just fine. aren't the icx temperatures from external probes, rather than the internal temperature of the memory?

Hi Patrike,
Would it be possible to set a minimum fan speed for certain gpus, or have an option disable fan control for certain miners?
My 3080 and 3090 cards require a higher minimum fan speed compared to my other gpus, and the only workaround i can find is to install msi afterburner and set a short interval time so that it can "override" awesomeminer's fan control

i'm kind of torn between two worlds. On one hand i like the mining profits, but on the other hand, my defi investments are "stuck". While i don't need to access them at this moment, i can't add to it.
Is anyone else worried about eip-1559 coming soonish? I have a feeling the recent spike in gas fees is going to be the straw that finally breaks the camels back, and eip-1559 is going to be fast tracked
Yes the gas fees are very annoying however they are temporary pretty much. Lately the fees were high around 500 Gwei but it was because ETH had a +25% day and then it broke $1000 and then it kept going higher and higher till $1200 or so. Hence why the fees were high. However unless you need to make a transaction fast you can just use a 50 Gwei and it will confirm within a few hours. Don't use anything less than 25 Gwei because it will take up to a week or a month. If you are doing a simple ETH send transaction then gas limit being 21000 it will only cost you 0.001 ETH, which is around $1 currently. Not the lowest but nowhere near $50 a transaction like in the past. Yeah eth needs to change. I add liquidity on pancakeswap as well and transactions are completed within seconds and only cost $0.1. cant wait for eth 2.0

My zotac 3080 goes to 718mV, but i'm not sure if this is the case for all 3080 - my other rtx cards have different minimum voltages. FWIW i use awesomeminer to set the voltage. If it goes too low, the memory will drop to 5000mhz.
What hash are you getting now with your AMP HOLO? Can you share you OC settings? Fan speeds: Memory overclock: Power: Temp: Hashrate: Thanks! It's in my main pc so i can't oc as far, but here are my settings fan speed: 60% mem oc: +550 voltage: 718mV (225W) temp: 58C hashrate: 93 That looks like it's thermal throttling. Does HWINFO display "yes" on thermals? Can you please do +1000? Just to see if it's throttling or not? You'll see in a few minutes if it does, so won't be a hassle. it is not thermal throttling. It can't go higher as there is a monitor connected to it.

Got the bottom rung 3090 - palit gamingpro. I have 1080 cards that have bigger heatsink than it. Surprisingly though it doesn't thermal throttle.
In AB, i've set voltage to 712mV, core to 1150, mem to 11100, PL 104%. According to GPU-Z the resulting powerdraw is 90% TDP. The moment i set PL to <90% in AB, the card starts PWR throttling.
One thing you could try is reducing your fan speed as this contributes to the card's total power draw. Reduce it until you see thermal throttling, then raise it back up

Just received a 3090 and i'm getting PWR throttling, probably similar to what you are getting. Once MVDDC power exceeds 192W, core clock will drop and GPU-Z reports PWR in perfcap.
Core clock needs to be greater than 1100mhz or hashrates will drop (corresponding with a drop in MVDDC power). So the highest i can oc the mem is 10702mhz before it starts throttling. Raising power limit doesn't help either as the card is only reaching ~89% TDP.
Is this memory power cap a bios limitation or a hardware limitation?
<edit> figured it out, had to raise awesomeminer's power limit to >100. In awesomeminer i add a blanket 10% extra power to nvidia cards to account for power supply efficiency for more accurate electricity cost calculation. I suppose awesomeminer takes this into account and limited all my nvidia cards to 90%

eth is paying 144% at viabtc, 5 cents an mh or 2.60 for amd 5700xt or 3.00 for nvidia 3060ti. I could roi this card in under 165 days or 4.50 for nvidia 3080. I could roi this card in under 185 days Not sure how long this heats up as 144% at viabtc is unreal. https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrate is making this claim: Highest Avg Hash Rate of 300,739.6361 GH/s was recorded on Monday, December 28, 2020 which makes sense at the gas being charged to move a transaction. at these rates, even a 3090 seems like a good idea

1300mhz is fine, it should drop your core voltage all the way to 0.718V and drop your power consumption all the way down to 60-70%. Are you still getting PWR in perfcap with voltage at 0.718V?
Yup getting pwr soon as i OC above 250-300 mem . thats really odd. does gpu-z display the breakdown of your power consumption e.g gpu chip and mvddc power draw? @Geck
Do not underclock by setting PL.
+1
In windows only use the Afterburner to set a fixed voltage. Lowest i could get is 0.737 or so. If anybody finds a solution to go lower..... post it.
