Looks like tariffs have now hit gpu prices. Zotac, Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI all raised prices $30-$150 from what I can see. Not sure on EVGA. Hoping they assemble either in the US or Taiwan and don't have to raise prices. Should be in line for a xc3 gaming 3080 from their que soon.
I picked up a Gigabyte Vision 3080 at a Microcenter while visiting family. Gonna be adding it on Wed. I really don't want to void the warranty and replace the thermal pads.
It does match the rig I am putting it in. Moving a 5700xt and a 5700 out to an open air rig. I think I could add 2 fans on the bottom that I removed when I added the 5700. Hoping I don't lose to much in throttling.
If I can grab a 3060ti or 3070 I have a rig with a 1660 ti and a 1060 6gb that I will sell to offset some of the upgrade cost.
I saw some news about TSMC ending discounts to largest customers and raising some prices due to offer-demand and their production is at 100%, add this to the world situation of Covid, shippings are more expensive, people are buying a lot of hardware to work from home, mining is hot again and soon we'll see higher prices on almost every piece of hardware Asus already said here about the increase of MSRP: https://videocardz.com/newz/asus-officially-increases-graphics-cards-and-motherboards-pricingSo, it's better to buy right now because it looks like this year will be very expensive to buy hardware and gadgets Nvidia will launch 3060 6gb - 12gb, and 3080 super - ti, imagine the price os these cards

Well with eth over 1000 and paying over 162% due to fees. It is like it is at an all-time high price for miners . https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrateis near or at an all time high of 306 th But think about this. we are getting 7.48 cents a mh. all 6gb cards make money So cards are not coming down in price. I have a thread on the idea of nVida and or amd custom mobos this idea below could be practical https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5305242.0I am thinking we are not going to see cards for a longtime and that asics are being built big time to mine eth I do think we will be solid on earning for 60-90 days then asics will start to affect earnings. innosilicon and bitmain must be mining eth like mad as I type. At the moment I can find some rx 570 cards from Best Buy I just found this on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-STRIX-AMD-Radeon-RX-5500-XT-Overclocked-8G-GDDR6-HDMI-DisplayPort-Gamin/303464263268?I had 47 in ebucks so it was just tolerable. I purchased a 100 ebay gift card for 95 on six months interest free. I paid remainder with PayPal Credit six months interest free So this nets to about 230-235 with six months to pay. Limit is six cards. so it will sell out

i'm kind of torn between two worlds. On one hand i like the mining profits, but on the other hand, my defi investments are "stuck". While i don't need to access them at this moment, i can't add to it.
Is anyone else worried about eip-1559 coming soonish? I have a feeling the recent spike in gas fees is going to be the straw that finally breaks the camels back, and eip-1559 is going to be fast tracked

Well these profits on eth mining are really really really good. 162% block payment on viabtc. They can not be sustained for 2 years or even 1 year. But I think they can stick around for the winter. Say March or April. I ordered a second asus strix card on the bay from newegg. They are low power I can squeeze them in on rigs I have. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-STRIX-AMD-Radeon-RX-5500-XT-Overclocked-8G-GDDR6-HDMI-DisplayPort-Gamin/303464263268?these are older gen https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-Strix-Radeon-RX-570-DirectX-12-ROG-STRIX-RX570-O8G-GAMING-8GB-256-Bit-G/383597215759?both of these cards will sell out. I got second card with 2 100 dollar ebay gift cards cost 190 so a 10 buck discount. I have six months to pay on these. two cards. they will do 55th or 4.11 a day they cost 600 with zero discounts . I paid 531 with my discounts. I have six months to pay zero interest. So 531/4.11 = 129 days for pay off.

5500xt These are the most easy to find GPUs, and near MSRP prices here How much can you squeeze of this GPU? I only see people talking about wattage of miners, but I like your posts because you always post the power on the wall, it's very helpful and precise The price of the 8Gb models of Powercolor are 270 USD

Yes I am seeing this. Restarted 1 rig didn't help. I am seeing my unpaid balance go up by what I expect so gonna sleep and not worry about it.

Online Nicehash says all of my rigs are disconnected, looks like my wallet address in Nicehash/Phoenixminer have been changed to something else. Malwarebytes showing nothing. What does your online console say, still mining to your wallet?

Yes the gas fees are very annoying however they are temporary pretty much. Lately the fees were high around 500 Gwei but it was because ETH had a +25% day and then it broke $1000 and then it kept going higher and higher till $1200 or so. Hence why the fees were high. However unless you need to make a transaction fast you can just use a 50 Gwei and it will confirm within a few hours. Don't use anything less than 25 Gwei because it will take up to a week or a month. If you are doing a simple ETH send transaction then gas limit being 21000 it will only cost you 0.001 ETH, which is around $1 currently. Not the lowest but nowhere near $50 a transaction like in the past.

I add liquidity on pancakeswap as well and transactions are completed within seconds and only cost $0.1. cant wait for eth 2.0

Same problem here, just posting to you guys know you're not alone Everything was working fine, but then when I checked my rigs on browser, all rigs are disconnected, I opened rigs and the miner was working Restarted rigs but didn't work I waited a few hours and now it's working 100% again, showing all stats correctly, and my payments are not affected I suspect of high demand on Nicehash side
