This time we are going to have Liverpool - Tottenham and Manchester City - Newcastle matches in the league. It looks like Liverpool have a more difficult job as their opponent has been doing awesome on the recent weeks. Tottenham are doing just fine with Conte now and they are challenging for a Champions League spot too. But they must also be aware that they don't have a very big chance to defeat Liverpool. But I still refrain from them as I remember their incredible win against Manchester City by 3-2 in an away match. Liverpool must watch out for a big threat here.
We will soon see two important matches in this week, where Liverpool will face Tottenham and Man City will face Newcastle which should be easy to beat. This week Liverpool are unlucky to face Tottenham, who knows the fact that Tottenham are one of the surprising teams to beat Man City this season. Because not many teams are able to beat Man City, so Liverpool really have to be careful when facing Tottenham. Moreover, Liverpool has just played with Villarreal in the Champions League. So Liverpool players must experience fatigue, because of the busy match schedule. But because the Liverpool players are also on fire, Liverpool should have beaten Tottenham. For the Man City vs Newcastle match, it is easier to predict, because I don't believe Newcastle can put up a fight against Man City, so it's very clear that Man City will most likely beat Newcastle. And as for the Manchester City - Newcastle match, I believe in Manchester City. They are going to have only three days without a match maybe but they are already used to this kind of a tight schedule. Newcastle lost against Liverpool last week and they wouldn't be too motivated against Manchester City too. They don't even have any aim like qualifying for a European tournament etc.. I don't wait for Manchester City to have too much difficulty because of that. As they are very near eliminating Real Madrid from the CL now, this would motivate them even more. |

3 big games in the weekend, lots of fun and enthusiasm. Real Betis is a champions league football hopeful, with 3 points away from a champions league spot; it promises to be a good game. Real Betis face Barcelona who is looking to cement the second position in the league as theirs, I think Betis will edge this win. Also Villarreal who needs 3 point to continue their push for Europa league football next season faces Sevilla, who are 3rd place and 2 points below Barcelona in the race for second place position. I think this will be a draw. The Madrid derby meanwhile could be a boring tie as Real Madrid already won the league; if Real Madrid get the champions league spot; Carlo could rest players; otherwise means its a full strenght squad Exciting football game this weekend. Cant wait !!! When it comes to the Villarreal - Sevilla match, I believe Sevilla are closer to becoming victorious in this match even though bookmakers are favouring Villarreal to win this. Sevilla will finish the season in one of the top four places as it seems. And Villarreal are trying to maintain their place and fight for a better one at the same time. I think both teams will score in this above all else. And it wouldn't be surprising to see Sevilla getting at least one point in my opinion. |

Manchester City have decreased the tempo of the match too much. This is very beneficial for them now as they already have a 4-3 score advantage on aggregate currently. Real Madrid must find a way to increase it and score a goal finally. I really would be dissatisfied with the match if it ends in a 0-0 draw. This matchup deserves much better than that. We should be able to watch at least extra time here. There are only twenty minutes left to the end of the match now. I hope that Real Madrid can carry this match into extra time.

Atalanta are really a hopeless case now I'm afraid. They couldn't defeat Salernitana too and they won only once in their last five league matches. And this is killing them week by week. I mean that they are under the threat of not being able to qualify for any tournament in Europe like even the Conference League. The three weeks remaining are going to be really fierce between Fiorentina and Atalanta as it seems. And the winner of this rivalry would be Fiorentina I guess. It is just a sense otherwise they both are terrible these days.  Atalanta generally fails the end of the championship and if in the middle of the season the team could claim the highest places, then indeed now the club can generally remain without participation in European competitions. However, it may even play a positive role when the team does not need to be distracted by other tournaments and focus only on internal competitions. Salernitana, with its winning streak of three matches won, has already shown that you need to treat yourself with full seriousness and now Atalanta has experienced it for herself. However, isn't it too late for Salernitana to wake up and will these efforts be enough to still stay in Serie A for the next season? It is of course quite late for them to start making an effort to stay in the Serie A now. But their recent performance has been very impressive at the same time. They wre on a three-win streak before the Atalanta match and they were nearly making it four too. And if they managed to do so, they were going to be right above the relegation area. But now, they are still stuck behind Cagliari. Salernitana still have a match missing too and they have four matches to play as a result. Maybe it might not be too late for them to stay here. |

We had a really incredible night. Like me, most people were thinking about that Liverpool wouldn't have much problem about eliminating their opponent. And maybe the people who weren't able to watch will think like they didn't too. However Villarreal had a huge opportunity at the end of the first half. They had Liverpool right at the place they would like to see and they captured a big advantage too like 2-0. But in the second half, Liverpool managed to start playing like themselves and they did the best thing they do by scoring two goals by a short time interval. And as Villarreal started to give up on the match, Liverpool dealt a final blow and won by 3-2. But I definitely enjoyed the performance of each team.

So happy to see Manchester United winning a victory in the league finally. And it was a solid win as well by 3-0. I can't say that Manchester United played incredibly dominant or something like that. But they still got this win by earning it. After a three-week break, they needed this to boost their morale at least. Maybe they won't be finishing the season in the fourth place but they should be able to maintain their current place at worst. But one thing is certain that this has been a season that they would like to leave it behind as soon as possible.

The Heat - Sixers game is about to start now. And I think that Heat are very close to getting a win here already now. Because we won't be watching Joel Embiid playing for Sixers tonight. And this would weaken their offense a lot. Heat are one of the best teams when it comes to taking advantage of this kind of situations. And they would do so here I assume. It is important for both teams to win the first game I think because it can help them capture a mental advantage against their opponent directly.

I think that Betis deserved this point loss in this match. Because their performance in the second half was just terrible and they would have even lost the match also. Getafe were very effective in this half but they were lacking the skill of finishing the chances with at least one goal. Betis wasted a big chance to get right behind Atletico Madrid by one point. And as of now, Betis are going to have a much harder job to do as there is not much time left for the end of the season. Unless Atletico Madrid make huge mistakes, Betis won't be in the CL next season.

Trabzonspor have made it to the league championship finally. Congratulations to them on their great success! They completely deserved to reach the title by a huge level of effort. They had no opponent near themselves in the standings for a very long time. Fenerbahce were like they might have got seriously close to them but they couldn't. And now I will be wondering if Trabzonspor will be able to maintain this game discipline next season too. If they keep their performance, they would be in a race for the title again.

I'm not so sure about Pep Guardiola to sign a new deal with Manchester City this summer. Because I remember that he said that he would be likely to leave the team in the near future. But maybe he has changed his mind and will decide to stay for a longer time. And his decision might depend on how successful they will be in the Champions League this season. If they manage to win the title, then he would achieve his biggest goal with this team and the probability of leaving the team would be bigger I think.

I'm very surprised to see that Marseille lost by 0-3 home to Lyon today. I was waiting for Marseille to win this match truthfully. But somehow they were crushed by Lyon. And this created another good opportunity Rennes and Monaco to catch up with them. These two teams both won without a problem. There are still three weeks to go and the gap between Marseille and those two is only three points now. Marseille should focus on their remaining matches more to be able to prevent themselves from losing their current place.

Barcelona got their deserved win after playing decently against Mallorca. I'm thankful for seeing that the Cadiz or Rayo Vallecano incident didn't happen again here. They won by 2-1 but this would have ended by a more comfortable result at the same time. Barcelona have consolidated the second spot more by this win. Sevilla are still two points behind though but it is still difficult for them to leave Barcelona behind on the remaining weeks. Sevilla seem to be more unreliable to me these days.

Feyenoord - Marseille was a far more enjoyable match than Leicester - Roma. Because we saw five goals in total in the first place. And it was a really competitive match as Feyenoord won by 3-2. Feyenoord were in the lead by 2-0 first in fact but Marseille still didn't start to give up on it. And they succeeded in equalizing the score at 2-2. Maybe Feyenoord still won by that score but I don't think this is a finished business for them. Marseille are a much stronger team when it comes to their home matches. They might still make a comeback from this and advance to the finale.

I think that the Liverpool - Villarreal draw has already finished by Liverpool's decent 2-0 win in Anfield. I don't believe Villarreal are strong enough to turn things around from this point.
You don't ignore the miracle, there is always a space for a miracle in a football match. Although Liverpool has 2 goals advantage right now, it is still possible for Villareal to beat them in Leg 2. But surely they need 3 goals without any conceded goals. I know it is very difficult, but nothing is impossible in a football match. Especially for the La Liga team, many of them often make a surprise in an international match. I don't know. I feel like this is the end of this journey for Villarreal. Like you said, they will need a miracle to do so. Above all else, they will need to play their best attacking game here. They shouldn't fear anything as they are already 2-0 behind. I don't think that Emery would have a defensive play in this match too. They would attack with all they have. But this means that they would give a big space in their defense for Liverpool at the same time. And Liverpool like to play against a strategy like this. They are one of the best attacking teams in the end. |

Napoli had a perfect day by demolishing Sassuolo 6-1. They have consolidated their position for this week. And it will be up to Juventus whether they would keep the one-point gap with Napoli or not tomorrow. Juventus are going to have a match versus Venezia in Turin. And here, I won't be waiting for any point loss for Juventus. This must be a piece of cake for Juventus. So they would defeat Venezia by a decent result and continue to follow Napoli from one point behind. And it is not easy to predict which one of these teams would end the season at the third spot.

Liverpool scored an early goal just as I hoped to see. And I thought like that they would open the goal gap more after that too. But Newcastle somehow didn't let their opponent score another goal. And they had few chances for an equalizer also but the effort was in vain. There was not a big effort in terms of attacking either as Liverpool were in control of the match obviously. And after this 1-0 win, Liverpool started hoping for Manchester City to lose some points but it didn't happen. So they are still chasing Manchester City by one point now.

I think that the Barcelona - Mallorca match is going to be a huge opportunity for Barcelona to improve their morale a lot after getting poor results in the recent times. Maybe they are still not one of the most credible teams lately but I feel that they are going to get an enormous win against Mallorca in Camp Nou. They would surely dominate this match from the beginning of it. But the most important part is to reflect this performance on the score of the match also. They couldn't do it against Cadiz and Vallecano but I believe it is time to do it against Mallorca.
