21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Which is better in times of volatility Trading or Long time Investment? on: February 08, 2018, 05:31:22 PM
Based on my own experience in stocks, investors would prefer a less volatile stock/asset and traders are the ones who prefer volatile conditions.
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you buying bitcoin now? on: February 07, 2018, 03:33:19 PM
That $6k level was a good buying opportunity, but I think it is only for a short trade since there seems to be not enough momentum to sustain an uptrend.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC is down again? on: February 03, 2018, 04:16:33 AM
I don't care whether the prices are going down or not. I purchased most of my BTC in 2014, when the exchange rates were like $700 per coin. Even now, I am sitting on top of 12x returns. And the good thing is that I converted some of my coins to fiat a few days back, when the exchange rates were around $12,000 per coin.

Congratulations on preserving some ofyour gains. $12k isn't really the peak price, but then again, we never know the future until it happens. Selling some was a good decision as I think that we will see a bumpy road ahead with all the regulation attempts going on.
24  Other / Meta / Re: Merits from your friends? on: January 28, 2018, 05:03:21 PM
Just the same as Smerits can be abused by high ranking members, friends can also take advantage of this which are the 2 big flaws I see in this new system.. Why don't we just stick to forum mods deleting nonsense posts or hiring more mods to make sure everything is clean rather than give it to the hand of members who might just abuse the system?
25  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merit System Upgrade on: January 27, 2018, 09:04:55 AM
To be honest, I think this new system can only lead to abuse in power.. Last time I checked, mods were supposed to handle troll posts in forums and delete them.. Accounts leveling up shouldn't be up to other forum members to decide.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: January 26, 2018, 06:28:57 PM
do not blame Bitcoin if the transaction gets slower,  transaction fees get higher or other problems,
blame the community and investors that makes Bitcoin bigger and more famous because the slower transactions caused by the many of the purchase and sale and transaction fee higher such as a queue for our transaction fast in the process or more priority..

How is that really? If Bitcoin has drawbacks and flaws, which were there from the beginning, just in case, how can we blame people using it? This is a very bizarre logic. According to you, they should avoid using it, use it less, or what? Bitcoin has hit the roadblock on its way, and there will be no progress unless and until this block is removed from the road ahead.

True.. People were given the impression that transactions are cheap and fast, but look at what's happening now.. You shouldn't blame the users for using a certain product. That product needs to scale up or step aside.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2018, 10:55:40 AM
I don't see why banks are to accept Bitcoin when most if not all of them are against it? However, there are many exchanges that can convert your fiat into Bitcoin. You can even buy Bitcoin from 7/11s.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: January 24, 2018, 03:49:01 PM
Bitcoin will actually destroy the economy since it is not taxable. This means that the govt will not receive its funds for the country's development.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: January 23, 2018, 03:36:50 PM
I agree that it's not safe to put in large amounts of Bitcoin especially in online wallets since it's not insured... This does apply to all cryptos though...I would just rather invest some amount in Bitcoin just so I wont miss the ride if any.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't there more women in Bitcoin? on: January 22, 2018, 11:23:36 AM
I think the exact same thing applies to engineering or IT courses.. Why there aren't many women in either of them is because technical stuff is too much of a hassle for them as they are more on the creative side.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see 20k+ again? on: January 21, 2018, 05:07:32 AM
After this consolidation in Bitcoin price, I believe that we will see a big pump to more than $20k.. then a slight decline or another consolidation might happen.
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wiil bitcoin price raise up again? on: January 20, 2018, 09:29:17 AM
I think it will rise back up to $20,000 and will then either stabilize or fall back to below $15000 to stabilize or form a new base...
33  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's bloodbath was totally normal & the biggest buying opportunity in 2018 on: January 19, 2018, 06:51:27 AM
I actually bought most of my salaries worth into Bitcoin during the 9k dip!  Grin Hope there will be more dips to come.. hundreds of thousands of sharks waiting at the bottom.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the decline continue? on: January 18, 2018, 07:22:54 AM
We can't predict where price is going, but we can always play it safe by waiting for confirmation AFTER an attempt to bounce up..
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm gonna sell my house on: January 17, 2018, 10:28:08 AM
I am sure we touched the bottom today. so i am going to real Estate Dealer for selling my house and buy bitcoin. I suggest you all do that

If you don't any assets other than Bitcoin, your wealth will be very much at risk.. lol Expert traders even advice that we diversify our portfolio..
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am worried! on: January 16, 2018, 10:08:03 AM
To be honest, short term traders who sit and do nothing while price goes below their buy price should be worried more about their trading plan. It only makes the situation worse as it is always safer to cut losses while still minimal...
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Trade - Which is Better? on: January 15, 2018, 10:41:51 AM
You can actually do both if your capital is large enough to give you significant profit. I do 90% investing (hold 3-5 years) and 10% for active trading.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can a country actually ban BITCOIN on: January 13, 2018, 03:13:38 PM
yeah, I guess countries can still ban businesses from accepting crypto as payments. That's one way of banning crypto from entering a country
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: January 11, 2018, 11:27:55 AM
Of course it is mainly for profit, but some developers have a real vision in what the best coin should be and believe that it should be shared and made known for the benefit of not only them, but for everyone getting involved in it.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: January 10, 2018, 10:37:25 AM
Why make such a scary topic? Not only will Bitcoin disappear, so will everything internet-related like Facebook, YouTube, our beloved Online games.  Cry May such a horrid thing never happen in my lifetime.
